5min walk from JR Kyoto”
If you are looking at Kyoto as your hub for other destinations (via train), Kyoto Plaza Annex Hotel is a good location. A bit cheaper than hotels located in front of JR Kyoto Station, still quite pricey. Near Aeon Mall for your meals, groceries and tax-free shopping. This hotel is quite far from the Kyoto go-to places so be prepared to walk or learn how to ride the bus. Breakfast is free, so we try to go there as soon as their restaurant opens (around 0630). Their 2nd floor has a communal bath, vending machines, laundry area and massage for a good price.

Breakfast starts at 6:30.After 8:30, there are many guest to have breakfast.So we recommend to come here by 8:00.From 6:30 to 8:00, it is not son busy in restaurant. If you come to Japan again, please visit us, too.
Public Bath, Convenient, Clean! ”
Best luggage keeping arrangements before checkin and after checkout. Location wise it is superb, not more than 10minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station, and has 2 major bus stops nearby but without all the noise of a busy city centre. What impressed me the most is their CLEAN gender specific public baths on the 2/F. It is the most relaxing therapy after a long day of touring around kyoto, give some rewards to your tired feet.

The hotel is in good location, not far from Kyoto station and very close with AEON departments store. Very convenience for take a bus to the other place in Kyoto and also just few minute walk to Todaiji temple. Nice support and willing for giving the advice on our question. Breakfast is same menu every day but acceptance. This hotel will be my choice again for next visiting and recommend to my friend.

The room and toilet is small, but it’s clean and comfy. The staff are very helpful. It’s 5-10minutes away from Kyoto Station but it’s very near Aeon Mall

Perfect location ”
Good location in Kyoto. Close to shopping Malls and walking distance to Toji Temple. With private car park. Rooms slightly small but reasonable size. Breakfast spread limited and very crowded with tour groups

Pleasant stay”
It's a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station. It's a bit far at first but you'll get used to it. Great customer service. Buffet breakfast! a lot of selection for the buffet! Just a turn off is that we were only allowed to check-in at 3pm and the check-out is at 10am!! Way too early! Hope this hotel will adjust their check-in and check-out time.

12 minutes walk to Kyoto Station”
Located near to Kyoto Station and AEON Mall which is opposite. Breakfast to fill your stomach but nothing to shout about. Queen size bed is good for two to sleep comfortably unlike many hotels with smaller beds for two. Hotel is rather old and requires some upgrade especially the carpet in the room. Like the ventilation hole that brings in the air for circulation.

Restaurant”
There was very limited choice for vegetarian. The hotel room rent included breakfast - in which case proper arrangements should be made to provide vegetarian food. They did not do so inspite of our request at the front desk.

extra tax charge”
I got charged with extra tax where i have paid in full including tax when I booked, I don't understand. However all my other booking are fine, I did not get charge with this extra. Also it is much more expensive(more than double) than other similar hotels I booked, I expected the facility is much better, but actually not.

Thanks for your staying at our hotel. The extra charge is Kyoto city's accommodation tax. This tax was implemented from October, 2018. 200 JPY, per 1 night, per 1 person. You already payed all room charge ( tax and service included, of course.), but this tax is not included. So you have to pay when you check-in. We except you about this, but we can't talk you enough...... We are so sorry for inconvenience situation. If you come to Japan again, please visit us , too !

Reasonable price”
It’s reasonable price but the trade offs are location and room cleanliness. If you don’t mind to take bus, it can be quite convenient else the traIn station is 10-15mins walk though on the way you have Shopping Malls to keep you entertained. Rom cleanliness needs improvement as the quilt cover and carpet feels dusty.

This was a rip off. Front lobby like a backpackers Place. Restaurant like a college cafeteria. Rooms very very very small. No place to put Your clothing. I was asked for $40 to check me in early ??? In fairness room was very clean but the hotel way overpriced.
