Great hotel outside central Kyoto!”
Loved the convenience of hotel's location to Yamashina Station and city subway, and with a variety of restaurants and short train ride from Kyoto Station. Breakfast Buffet was very good, but found it a little expensive, Would have loved the option for dinner, but area seemed to have a fairly good selection of restaurants. Overall, rooms were very clean with comfortable beds, but bathrooms were a little small. Would highly recommend booking this hotel to others, as we would definitely return should there be another opportunity to visit! Be sure to try the local sushi restaurant around the corner called Sushi Inaseya, approx, 300 m. walk.

Great hotel, just far enough from central Kyoto”
Easy train access to Kyoto central train station, just a 5 minute train ride away and there's even an underground walkway from the hotel to Yamashina station. Super breakfast buffet (1,800 yen + tax if not included in your room rate).

Great value hotel located next to train & bus station”
Clean hotel, friendly staff, provides kimonos & slippers. Has nice onsen for women until 1am which has all accessories to enjoy ur hot bath - hair brush, hair tie, lotion, facial cleanser, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers - its like a free spa to enjoy ur hot bath after walking all day. Although located a little bit far from all the action, it is located next to the JR train, bus, and Tozai subway Line. & 1 train ride away from kyoto station so all tourist attractions are accessible from here. In the room, Provides free water bottles, coffee & tea bags. U can forward ur luggage to & from here to the airport or your next japan destination. This was so useful to us so we dont have to carry our heavy luggages with us in the train. Room is a standard size for Japan. There’s 3 of us in the room with 3 twin beds. We placed our luggages in 1 bed since there’s no more room to place our luggage because of the presence of 3rd bed (which we didnt need).

Nice en clean hotel just next to the JR station of Yamashina. Not a lot to see in the area, but only 1 stop from Kyoto station. Big breakfast buffet with both Western and Japanese food

The hotel is one stop away from Kyoto Station and has subway access on the basement. Around the area there are many bars and resto. The hotel may want to review their breakfast menu. Its all the same throughout our 5 days stay. But all in all our stay was great.

Super close to Mass Transit”
A nice and clean hotel that has three beds so it was perfect for us as a family of three. Hotel is connected directly to a mall that has access to a subway right into Kyoto or walk two more minutes and catch a train on Japan Railways and save some money. Lots of stores and shops nearby for meals and only a 10-15 minute ride to get to so many of the excellent Kyoto attractions.

Just 1 stop from Kyoto station, and easy to find the hotel. It can see in front of you, after go out from JR. The staffs are very kind , they help us to transfer our luggage to next hotel by mail and help us to fill form in Japanese language and make a call to confirm if our language arrive to new hotel or not. convenient location to Kyoto Station”
It takes 5min. to JR Kyoto from Yamashina station that is just one minute from the hotel & it costs only Yen190 one way. The hotel accomodation is common standard not more than or less. The shopping mall is one block away there are many shops including McDonald, 100Yen shop, restraunts etc. The hotel has no parking service so that you have to use the mall parking underground which costs Yen2400 over night. The public bath only for lady at 4F of the hotel opens till 1am which is a fun for Onsen lover.

Also, there are so much to see and eat around the hotel and we have local map that helps you find good ones. Since our hotel is located in front of station, no parking spaces for hotel. Therefore, you will use parking space next to hotel building. We have "shampoo bar" in lady-public-bath so you can enjoy various types of treatment after traveling or business day! Relax and rest! Everyone has mentioned great location/ access so no need to repeat this fact. Really good hotel. Staff welcoming and helpful. Room was a good size by Japanese standards, comfortable and there was creative ways of using the space. I enjoyed the cute sitting area next to the window, having a cup of tea and watching the sunset over the beautiful green hills.( advice to other travellers ask for a room facing the station.) Good shops/ cafe nearby. Pharmacy at the station excellent. I would come back. I have already recommended to friends

A much needed place to rest! ”
When traveling to see our daughter we opted to stay with her in her apt. We didn't realize a futon meant a thin comforter not a real mattress. So after 3 nights we opted to get a hotel nearby but wanted to be by the rail. This hotel had it all! Very reasonable rates, decent size rooms and even an underground passage to the trains. There were restaurants and convenience stores in walking distance. A true find for us!

A bit far from Kyoto center but good price”
If you want a better priced option then this would be for you, especially of you have the JR Rail pass which you can use at this station. Its a one stop from this hotel Yahmashina to Kyoto central, I believe around 10minutes or so. But there is not much else near this hotel to do, at least there is a Starbucks at the train station nearby. The hotel is a bit old and the carpets outside the room are a bit stained but the rooms inside are very clean and neat. Good price for a small inconvenience

Great Location, Hotel is beside the JR rail station, and it is just right above the subway station, with supermarket shops and restaurant nearby. Very convenient. The room is great, good size, clean and also Humidifier/aircleaner inside the room which is great to maintain the humidity in the room. The amount we paid per night is value for money. Strongly recommended.

We love everything about this hotel. The room is comfortable and cosy, the location is convenient, helpful and pleasant staff . We simply enjoyed the breakfast every morning too. The vicinity of the hotel was great for catching cherry blossoms and we had a nice stroll around. Special thanks to Ms Kahori Fujimoto, who helped us make arrangements to deliver our luggages to the next hotel in Nagoya. Ms Fujimoto was both patient and helpful who went on an extra mile and called up the hotel in Nagoya to make sure they would receive our luggages. When there was some confusion over our booking with them, she spoke patiently and politely to the other party until they finally confirmed our booking with them. Overall, it was a nice stay with the hotel and we will definitely be back!

Location is good, a link way frm train station to hotel, food, grocery etc. Housekeeping is fantastic neat n clean. They put an air purifier knowing I have sinus allergy! My room has a scenic greenery mountain view.

The onsen is so cool... u be surprise with the shampoo bar...is so amazing with good quality national brands like Loccitane . Staff was so helpful , rooms are clean with all basic requirements. Location is great too !

Booked a Triple Share Room but it was just a Twin Room with an extra bed so it was very very cramped. However, subway is located at basement of the hotel so travelling to various attractions was very convenient. Conclusion, if on Twin share basis, hotel is good. On Triple share basis, not so good.
