This family-run, country guest house in the village of Wonneberg is set between the scenic Waginger See and Chiemsee lakes. It offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool and traditional Bavarian food. The Landgasthof Schweizerhof has brightly decorated rooms with wooden furniture and modern bathrooms. Nearly all rooms have a balcony. A big breakfast buffet is on offer in the Schweizerhof's breakfast lounge or on the sun terrace. Guests staying at least 3 days are welcome to book half board. I could happily live here the rest of my life”

Location, atmosphere, food

The Schweizerhof is still a few miles from the Alps, but the view is splendid, the air is crisp, the infinity pool is relaxing, the rooms are clean, and the food is traditional German. Its all good. We were on the third floor (2nd in German speak), so we had to heft our luggage up the stairs since there is no elevator. It was worth it. I did not give the hotel all 5 stars as most anything can be improved, but was a great place to stay.
