Excellent flat in the centre of Budapest”
My partner and I stayed at Lisianthus Apartments for 3 nights in December 2017. Upon arriva we were welcomed by Chris, who showed us around and explained how their self-service apartments worked. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had a cosy modern design. It’s in a brilliant location that Made seeing the sights of Budapest nice and easy! At night it was warm and felt very private and secure. Would recommend to anyone visiting Budapest; especially as the staff were so welcoming and keen to make our stay comfortable!

Practical and safe apartment with a great host”
We had a great 2 nights at Lisianthus Apartments. Even though these are apartments with no front desk etc. we did not have any issues checking in or out, as our host Laszlo made it so easy. Immediately after we booked we received an email from Laszlo with important information about the apartment (how to get there by public transport, how to get into the building etc.) We also requested an early check in as we were landing earlier, and Laszlo kindly arranged for the apartment to be cleaned earlier. He was effective in keeping us informed of any updates. The apartment was very easy to get to - it is a couple of minutes walk from a metro station. There is also a tram stop within walking distance. Laszlo's colleague Chris met us there and checked us in. He was also very helpful in giving us tips on Budapest, and was very kind - he arranged extra blankets for my wife. He took the time to settle us in and did not rush with any of the formalities or discussions. The apartment itself was extremely clean and tidy. Effective central heating, we never felt cold even though the outside temperature was 0-5 degrees. The apartment was exactly like the photos on Agoda. Bedroom is up a flight of stairs, toilet, living room and kitchen are downstairs. Shower cubicle itself is quite small but the entire bathroom is large. Remember to take your own toiletries (shower gel, shampoo etc.) as, unlike other countries, apartments in Hungary do not provide these. There is a wardrobe and coat hanger for your coats and clothes. Checking out was very flexible and easy. We had a good comfortable stay.

Excellent Apartments for Couples”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lisianthus Apartments. Whilst these were not the largest apartments we found for similar money, they are modern and make very good use of the space. The location is around 30 minutes walk from the main restaurants and bars, however the main metro and bus line is only a 5 minute walk away. The only thing I would advise when booking (and this is by no means a criticism) is that these apartments do not have a reception and the company will contact you to provide you information on how to gain access. Whilst I had added Agoda to my safe list, the apartment companies emails went straight to the spam folder and I missed important emails which led to a lot of confusion when we arrived. So make sure you monitor that spam folder closely!

Clean, compact, kind, location-near metro/tram/bus”
The apartment is very small but had everything we needed - hair dryer, dishes, working refridgerator and stuff. It was super clean - although a few hair was seen, it was okay because everything else was clean and new. When I arrived ealier than scheduled check-in time, I emailed them and they replied very fast(almost immediately) and were willing to greet me earlier as I wished. They were willing to help us and guided us through the apartment so kindly when we wanted assisted check in. The apartment is near metro/tram/bus, so we could go to the tourist spot in 30mins max. Great place to stay! Little details taken care of.”
Great location,very close to shops and restaurants as well as Margaret island & Parliament. Very comfortable apartment with all small details taken care of. We traveled with 6 months old and 3,5 years old and it was as such a bonus to find water in the fridge, washing up liquid and clean sponge to clean kids cutlery etc. Also, map of Budapest was very useful ;) Laszlo and Chris were very responsive to all queries and very helpful. The lift in the building was a bit old fashioned but manageable. Would certainly come back!!!

When you feel as though you were a local and not a tourist”
Highly recommended for people who like to get a sample of how it would be to live in Budapest rather than just being a tourist in a hotel. The apartment looked as beautiful as on the pictures and Laszlo (who will meet you to check in and out) is very friendly.

Great location but lacking privacy”
Pros- great location, few minutes from the under ground station and 20 minutes walk to the Danube river. Apartment was very clean and although extremely small it was fine for the 2 of us. Cons- We were met upon arrival and shown to the apartment, he was in a hurry to meet with another guest to check in but briefly explained that the window blind had been broken the day before our arrival but we could use the curtain. At no point during our 4 night stay was the blind repaired and I don't believe that it had only just been broken the night before our arrival. The curtain was only 1 panel wide and offered no privacy from people walking passed looking in. The lights from the courtyard lit the room up in the evening so a good nights sleep was so hard to get! In fact we didn't sleep well the whole of our 4 night stay. The sofa bed was arched up in the middle meaning my head was lower than my body even with the 2 pillows it was far too uncomfortable to sleep. We asked for an airport transfer, I said we needed to be at the airport 2 hours before our flight but the man who checked us in insisted we didn't need that much time and had pre booked our transfer with no room for manoeuvre on the time, we only just made our flight in time as the queues in the airport check in, security and immigration were long and slow. We could have very easily missed our flight due to having our transfer booked far too late. If you book a transfer then please insist on leaving early, don't take no for an answer. There was a problem with homeless vacating their bladders in the entrance to the apartment block, off putting to say the least. We were so excited to stay here as the previous reviews were so good but I would definitely not stay here again. We booked the superior apartment which is apartment 2 avoid if you can and book the lesser priced apartment which has blinds, they look the same size apart from the corridor ours had.

Exceptional”
We had a charming apartment with a well equipped kitchen. The train station is a 10 min walk away and there are bus stops nearby. Budapest has an excellent transport system . The streets are literally lined with cafes so finding food is not a problem at all.

This is a nice, clean, centrally located apartment in Budapest. There are restaurants, ATM’s close by, the train station is literally 2 blocks away and there is a good selection of buses in front of the apartment.

Good location and surrounding ”
The apartment looks a bit old from outside but inside is very nice, clean and well treated. Unique design for studio apartment, full space living room at main room and the bed is a half level upstairs. Good location, surrounded by restaurants, pharmacy and a good rate of money exchange near by. Subway station to city centre is only 200meters away. Chris was very helpful to booked us a taxi to airport because we don’t understand the local language. Just a minor issue was the elevator is too small but didn’t bother our holiday experiences. Comfortable stay and valuable for money”
Comfortable stay in Budapest! Just like a home! Location is quite convenient that we can go everywhere in the city by metro. The kitchen facilities are good so we can make our breakfast every day during our stay. A small drawback is no staff could be able to help you immediately i.e. similar to air B&B, you need to make calls to them when you faced troubles and they will go to find you around 15 minutes.

Loved this location. Great Italian restaurant 6 steps from apartments. Loft for sleeping is steep...just have to be careful...likely not practical for seniors or individual with any handicap. We had no problem with it. Would return to apartments again.

Friendly staff that we could get in contact at any time even though there were no reception. Good wifi, clean apartment and good location. It's not at the very city center but it's walking distance to the metro station. And there are busses just outside the building.

It seemed to be the apartment newly renovated and furnished. Also the location is perfect. It's close to metro, tram stop, and a huge shopping mall. The staff was very helpful and kind. I will stay there again if I have a chance to visit the city.

if you have a problem with stairs then this apartment is not for you as it has a loft bedroom setup with only a hand rail on the wall side so you can literally fall off the open side if you were half asleep ,property is starting to look a little knocked around, only a couple of English TV channels and really small tv, the main entry door to the street did not lock, but there are other doors after this that need keys or electronic tag, close to trams/ metro or you can walk to the river only 10 mins , tip buy a 72 hour transport pass you can get everywhere and way cheaper than the hop on hop off bus which does not go everywhere. make sure you have a valid ticket in Budapest many inspectors ,the apartment was not serviced in 6 days only towel change, shower cramped for big persons

Good location but slightly over priced ”
The apartment over all is clean apart from my bathroom smell damp. The whole building outside not as clean. It’s easy access to go round city and visit places. I think the it has been over rated for this. I don’t think I would stay again. For the price I paid for can get very nice hotel and better location.
