Stayed at the Swiss-Belhotel for 5 nights. We had a a room facing the ocean, beautiful view especially during Sunset. Room was a good size , enough for 2 adults and 2 young children. Hotel has good facilities, outdoor pool facing the ocean, gym, spa and gravity sky lounge on level 20, which I highly recommend. Live music available every night. Great breakfast buffet with lots of choices from western or Indonesian food. I would highly recommend this hotel, definitely will stay again at the Swiss bel for my next trip to Makassar!! Location is very good , walking distance to Losari beach and Fort Rotterdam. Lots of souvenir shops also across the road.

Brand Citadines intrique me, as I was expecting quite high for Ascot member of hotels / residences. However, considering the paid price, its OK. Staff are very nice and friendly. Location is not bad, quite centre in Makassar city. Room rather small, so don't bring too many unnecessary things, and unfortunately, problem is slow internet speed. Other than this, all are OK

The hotel can be easily reached by Bus DAMRI / Airport Bus from Makassar Airport, the hotel location is passed by the bus route so we can just drop off in front of the hotel. From the time we check in until the day we check out, all the staff had been really nice, friendly and sincere. Their service was excellent. Our Room is large and clean and had the minimalist style bathroom. We enjoyed our time in 15 floor of Swimming Pool and Fitness Center Area. The view from swimming pool and sauna room to the city were fantastic. The location is in walking distance from Makassar main attraction such as Fort Rotterdam, Somba Opu Shopping Street and Losari Beach. Also the little port to go to some islands. We would definitely come back to stay next time and recommend this hotel to everyone who visit Makassar.

I’ve stayed in more than 20 different hotels in Makassar already, and Pesonna is one of my absolute favorites, especially for the price. It’s the best value for money! Very clean rooms, very nice and helpful staff, delicious room service (with the best pisang ijo in all of Makassar!) for great prices. This place is really cheap for what you get. I’d recommend it to everyone! The WiFi is a bit slow, but everything else is amazing

Nice choice of hotel...if you have to stay a night in Makassar. ( and one night would be enough ;) Nothing.... to see there re tourist sites). Very friendly general manager, originally from Spain. Local staff on the front desk, at the pool, spa etc., are VERY friendly and helpful. Communication in English was not a problem. One negative ...would be the food options for breakfast. I paid with Agoda... room and breakfast rate... and paid close to $15.00 for the breakfast. Sorry, but not worth it. The choices were limited and the food selections were more of a dinner choice than breakfast. I checked out early on my last day and went for breakfast at 6:30. The food was out, in serving trays, and all was stone cold. I was in the restaurant at least 10 minutes alone... before a staff member appeared. Positives? Very nice cold water pool. Lovely spa and very well trained therapists. Nice fitness area. A Circle K 2 ( quickie store) minutes down the street for small snacks, food for travel etc. . I would stay there again but eat out. I did eat dinner on the 21st floor. Great view of the city.

The room is pretty small although comfortable. Mini bar is free, which is pretty good when you find yourself suddenly in a meal crisis and need to have a quick bite. The staff is not so professional. We arrived quite early at 6.00 am in Makassar after a tiring overnight bus trip from Toraja (Rantepao). Upon checking-in at 7.00 am, we headed for breakfast at the Losari Beach, which was located a stone-throw away from the hotel. We returned at 9.00 am and I immediately asked whether the room was available, to which I received an answer it was already available but due to the hotel's policy, we would be allowed to enter the room at 02.00 pm. Early check-in was allowed but we had to pay extra Rp. 250,000. Since we had a lunch appointment at 11.00, I refused to pay and decided to put up a strike by sleeping at the seat just across the reception desk. At 9.30, they allowed us in.

This is a modern 4 star hotel with sufficient facilities to do business. Each room s equipped with enough and different power points to accommodate different systems from Australia, USA, and Indonesia. This eliminates converters which are often not effective. The internet connection is very stable, with the option to increase the speed if necessary. The staff are so helpful and efficient. They will go out of their way to assist in a most pleasant ways. The food offering in the restaurant is extensive, covering dishes from Europe, Orient, and all over Indonesia. The hotel is located in the CBD, next to banks, shopping centers, the famous Losari Beach, and offices. I recommend this hotel most highly to anyone going to Makassar. You will not be disappointed!

for the first time i stayed in aryaduta hotel makassar, i feel so nice since the hotel located in the center point of the most beautiful site in makassar. the somba opu, the very famous trading center in makassar is located only 5 minutes by walking from the hotel. i can enjoy the very good view about the tanjung bunga tourist center both in night and day. the breakfast time in aryaduta hotel in makassar is so nice impressive. i can choose both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for my breakfast. the menu is so complete and fresh. the west menu is also available in the hotel. the hot or warm water for bath is always available in the room. it is so good for bathing after swimming that also ready for enjoying every time in the hotel. this hotel is not only appropriate for the business people but also appropriate for enjoying the rest time together with the whole family

The hotel was opened in the mid 2015, so it looks new, right from the moment we stepped out from the taxi. Perhaps, due to Novotel is an American owned hotel, security is tighter. Check-in process is smooth and access card is needed in the elevator to the floor we stayed. The room is comfort with various amenities in the shower. Really couldn't find anything to complain about for the room. We did swim and relax at the poolside. Surfing the net is my favourite as the hotel is equipped with high speed internet connection, everywhere. I wouldn't have said there are a huge variety of selections for the breakfast but that's good enough for us. The best of this hotel is it's location where we could walk to most places including Pantai Losari in less than 15mins. If you are a food hunter, Novotel just giving you the central coordinates to access to most eatery places. Every Sunday morning 6am-11am is car free day on the main road just next to Novotel. You can see how vibrant and energetic are the Makassar people on that road! Well, we have got more than what we have paid in this Novotel. If you ask me would i recommend Novotel Makassar to friends? The answer is clear, definitely a big YES!

Its was a enjoying and relaxing times at sahid jaya. The staff are friendly and helpful. Since its our first time there, the staff showed us how to get to the places of attractions at Makassar by the cheapest way thats is by becak (trishaw) or by angkutan kota (town bus). The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is delicious.Especially the pisang epe and the coto makassar which was the specialty that we must eat at Makassar. The Ratu Indah Mall is just next to the hotel. They have Addidas outlet,women boutiques,Matahari and even Cold storage. They also food court, 24 hr Macdonald. pizza hut, KFC and alot more.The hotel has a location and a good service.

Amazing n lovely hotel in Makassar. I always travel to makassar and have stayed at many good hotel in Makassar include some 5 stars htl. However, this one is really different and outstanding in its service. Excellent Service , excellent and friendly staff, very good location, very good food. They upgrade my room to an excellent room with "Free Upgrade". and also put me on a new renovated room the first day which is not yet for sale as there is really no htl room avaialble all over Makasaar and they call all their network but no avail, cause of a visit by President RI to Makassar, furthermore they give me half price from the sales price coz there is toilet renovation is under progress. They really all out to service and help the customers who are in needs. I am really appreciate for FO Manager and team so much for their help. Keep up the goodwork guys. Many greatful thanks.

Booked this accommodation because of the location, I've been there before and I know the reliability of Accor Group. Ibis is one of well known budget hotel that never compromise customer's satisfaction. Glad they still maintain their standard, I felt safe, welcomed and comfortable when entering my room after work. The front staffs were quite polite, helpful and made everything easier for me. Some more plus point; Ibis City Center Makassar has comfortable matress any budget hotels can't offer yet. And it's location near the Losari beach. Thanks for the hospitality. Definitely will be back here next time I visit Makassar.

I was staying in junior suite room which has mezzanine layout. Interesting. Everything is right in place, clean, lux materials from such hotel. King bed is upstairs with flat TV, you get sofa bed downstairs with flat TV too. Power plugs are everywhere, it's the combined with light switches but most of them can't work. Plus the light switches make it harder to plug in. Bathroom is rather small. The shower area is packed so it'll definitely make the toilet bowl wet. The other downside is that we can hear the noise from outside or next door room. Breakfast is good, lots of variety, local and simple international breakfast, plus they have those Makassar traditional kue for you to try. They have swimming pool and gym too. The gym is very small, they only have one treadmill and one bicycle. Was about to swim in the morning but they just put in the chlorine so I didn't swim. Location is good, though it's not next to Pantai Losari, the main tourist spot there, but it's still walking distance. There are some traditional food stalls around you can try like Pesona Jalangkote, and there are shops that sell local snacks and souvenirs. They have shuttle service to Fort Rotterdam and other tourist attractions within 5 Km for free, but I didn't manage to try. It is definitely worth the price to stay in this hotel while you're travelling in Makassar.

Room was clean but small, just enough for 2 persons. There's no space for extra bed inside our room. Breakfast was average. Wifi was good. This hotel have several meeting rooms. The advantage of this hotel are the location that not too far from the center of Makassar city. Also near to Ratu Indah Mall. And also there's an Indomaret shop beside this hotel. So if you want to stay in Makassar for business or short trip, this budget hotel can be one of your choices.

Hotel staff nice and helpful, we checked in early, and later needed a late checkout, no problem at all. Room 516 was clean everything worked, as you might expect from a hotel only 8 months old. B’fast was included and reasonable. Two things could improve, the showers have hot water, but difficult to control, you turn the temp control and wait 5 minutes. The room cleaning needs to improve, we were out for the day from 9am until 5pm, the room with a “Clean Me” sign on the door, was not cleaned, they knocked on the door at 6:10pm. A/C good, flat screen, Tea/coffee in room, Wifi in room. Location good for restaurants, fort etc. Absolute value for money, I would happily stay there again.

This 3 1/2 star hotel's service puts many 5-stars to shame. I arrived via ferry from Bau Bau to Makassar at the ungodly hour of 3AM. Best to sit tight at the ferry terminal and wait until sunrise. At 06:00 I walked to the Grand Populare enjoying the scenery and hoped only to be able to stash my luggage at the hotel. Much to my surprise, and gratitude, I was checked in. At 06:30. That has never happened before. At least not to me. Breakfast wasn't ready yet ... it was too early in the morning ... but was offered. Instead I collapsed into my bed and slept until late morning. The room is clean, the queen sized bed comfy, the air conditioning was gentle - not a meat locker - and even HBO on the tele. The staff are friendly, English is limited, but the manager, Mr. is fluent. There is an excellent Old Holland bakery a few doors up the street for those missing a taste of pastry and creme. A touch of home. The only downside is that the wifi signal needs to be boosted so that it reaches the upper floors. The shower was a slow drainer but not wanting to be a nuisance I didn't report it. I know, I know. How else would they know. Check out time is 1:00 pm, and an afternoon of catching up on work in the dining room (good wifi here), and dinner at 5:00 at the Chinese Bar-B-Q, next to the bakery, is excellent for that long wait for the overnight bus to Tana Toraja. Makassar is not a city for an afternoon stroll. Unless you like choking on dust, diesel fumes, and dodging trucks. An overly enthusiastic review. Sure. But I am still grateful for the very early check-in and early evening check-out. And no extra charges!
