Great place to stay”
Very clean and spacious hostel, even the dorms felt spacious. Location wise also not bad, centrally located in budapest and not too far from the metro station. Only thing lacking was a kitchen, they do have microwave and fridge though.

A good place to stay in Budapest”
The room with private bathroom for my group was clean, tidy and perfect for living. Although it took time to walk from metro station to the ho(s)tel and find the way at the same time, the ho(s)tel is near many restaurants, bistro shops and coffee shops that I could find a dinner as having came late. They also provide free luggage storage for customers though we checked out.

Just a good place to stay in Budapest if you don't mind the patio noise at night ”
Marco Polo is really a Great hostel, the areas are separated correctly with enough space for everything, beds are good and lockers have a very good size. The breakfast is excellent and in a very affordable price, the hostel is near Tran and metro so is very convenient. The only downsize is that the common space in the patio is supposed to close at 10pm but they don't closed it and people get there after parting to continue party or talk and this can na go on until 3am which is horrible for people that need to sleep. Two out of three night I stay was like that. The noise is really bad if you are a light sleeper.

this hostel is located within walking distance of most of budapests best sights. it is a great neighborhood for nightlife, a lot of bars for young and older crowds. is a few blocks from the ruin puc szempla kert. it is also a few blocks from the metro stop. the hostel itself is not clearly marked. just a little white awning, but the words, marco polo hostel are not visible until your right in front of the door. it is a clean place though with friendly staff and at a very good price, especially since i booked through agoda.

Good value for the money ”
Friendly staff, quite clean hostel. I liked that you can have kind of a privacy even though you are in a hostel. Though the walls are pretty thin and you can hear almost everything. Great location, pretty close to the city center and Danube. You don't have many choices for breakfast but what can you ask for 5 euros? If I ever come back to Budapest I will stay again at Marco Polo Hostel. :)

Very good facility and kind stuff, little bit hard to find out the hostel”
The location of the hostel is good to walk around the city, but hard to find out first time. The hostel has lots of the rooms, and mixed dormitory room where I stayed is good. It had two shower booth, two independent toilets. There is a indivisual big locker and this is very convenient. The stuffs were very kind and friendly to give me an information of the city. The price is cheap when you book earlier.

Good hostel for 3 days ”
I went for 3 days and i like it. Its close to the center, decent for the price. What i didnt like was the kitchen (its just one and very small... still its okey if u want just a coffee) and the attention of the people in the reception. Even though they were really nice and give you info, they have to hire more people. Some of them spent the night shift and their faces the next morning were terrible... and not in the best mood. Budapest is really cheap and totally worth it

It was in a lovely spot, bakery round the corner, supermarkets close by and a 15 min walk to the bridge in the centre of Budapest. Very secure, 24 hour reception and a lovely courtyard/cool bar downstairs. Highly recommend.

Good location & friendly staff”
There were 3 of us and we were given a twin room with an additional bed stuck in the middle of the other two beds. If my friends were not at the festival for the majority of the time it would have been a very uncomfortable stay for 3 people + luggage in this room. There was only 30cm between each bed and considering we paid a fairly reasonable amount to stay 5 nights it should have been considered before just cramming maximum beds in such a small room. I'm sure if 2 people were staying in a twin room this would have been fine but maybe reconsider if there are 3. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly though and this did make up for the lack of room facilities. The hostel is in a good area. Walking distance to local ruin bars, the Jewish Quarter, 5 minutes to the closest train station and maybe 15 mins down to the river. It is a safe area to stay in although if you are a female getting home late there are some more interesting guys lurking the streets late at night. Wi-Fi did drop out for a little bit however for most of the stay it was strong in the rooms and in the common area. The rooms are basic. There was only a sheet on the bed however summer nights with no air con and just air flow from the window, no other bedding was required. Given how old the rooms were, they were still clean, including the bathroom. You had to pay a deposit for a towel (2000 ft) and hairdryer (3000 ft). I believe you could also pay a deposit for a fan if the rooms got too much to handle.

You really get what you pay for. Really kudos to the staff who were all friendly and helpful for every question that i had. If you're stayinghere, make sure you get the bed in the lower bunk, as you will be staying with other guests, chances are some will be rowdy etc. My stay here was quite unique, some noisy some peaceful nights. But all throughout very hot inside because no airconditioning - August in the middle of summer time. But overall, still pretty decent stay.

Quite smooth check in /out process. Staff are very attentive and helpful. To me , the venue is kind of ideal, near to lots of bar, not far from subway and main central area. Kind of hot in the room since there is no fan and air-conditioner. Towel rental and breakfast will be charged at a reasonable price. Overall stay is fine, worth the money. No surprise.

No complaints at all, the hostel isn't a party one but we took the free pub crawl offered by reception and met a couple staying at the hostel;on the pub crawl in total was a bigger group so that was good. Also bought the baths tickets from reception, saves queueing. The guy who checked us in was so helpful, all the other staff seemed friendly.

The staff who works in the morning is very nice. They can answer all of our enquiries. The room is fine, furnitures are a bit old but it's alright. There is only one hairdryer in this hotel. We've to wait for a long time to use it.
