Little break ”
We booked this hotel for the price and previous reviews. It was straight forward to get to by bus from the airport. On arrival the key was ready and the receptionist (lady) was ever so helpful. Gave us a map and marked good locations to see. Everything was walking distance apart from the thermal baths which was a train ride. Not difficult to get too. Breakfast was fine, nice and simple, room was nice. Overall a nice hotel located centrally. Would definitely book again.

Do not believe the pictures”
In the beginning I will open ..... Do not believe the pictures.The hotel is located in a place that forgot to, we arrived at the room with strong smells of cigarettes and when we complained they wanted to give us a room on the first floor with smells of sewer.The room is really big but old towels, linen change not required Only, zero-room room service. Small elevators so you sometimes have to go down the emergency stairs down to the dining room. Breakfast is very poor compared to other places in Europe and generally hotels that consider themselves four stars. In short I would not recommend the hotel at all.

Central for North Pest”
Well located for north Pest, close to Margrit Bridge and Parliament, with a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Trams and busses close by. Reasonable sized room, comfy bed, good shower, good aircon. Our room had an awful smell from the drains when we arrived but it was 3am so we just opened the window and went to bed. Breakfast was good for an inclusive price but no lunchtime or evening service. The bar area is small and not at all inviting. All staff were pleasant and helpful. We would try somewhere different next time.

Fantastic hotel”
After having stayed in a far worse hotel in Budapest, this place was a breath of fresh air! Clean, well kept and looked after; friendly, helpful & multi-lingual staff; a great, if slightly eclectic continental breakfast; and great, comfortable, roomy accodomation. The only slightest of problems at all is that the lift tended to be temperamental whether it wanted to let you use it or not. Otherwise perfect! Well located, literally minutes from two different tram stops, the Western Railway station and 5-10 minutes from the Danube. If you have a room that faces onto the road, you will unfortunately hear the 24 hour tram service rumbling past on the main road but, for a capital city hotel, it's still remarkably quiet and the location itself makes up for that noise. Honestly couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

Good for value ”
This hotel was good for what you paid. In a great location and close to everything by walking plus plenty of public transport nearby. The only issue I have is the bathroom. The toilet doesn’t flush well at all because some of the tissue remains. We reported this to the hotel who sent a member of staff straight away but told us that this is normal for the hotel and you have to flush multiple times. Sometimes there would be a smell I assume from the bathroom when we returned to the room. The toilet was the only issue but was not a deal breaker. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again

I went for the cheapest room available. I got two single beds but would have preferred one double or king. Breakfast was more than acceptable. The only thing I would have liked would have been a microwave in the room. It's not exactly a big deal that it didn't

Great choice”
The hotel is really good and all the employees were pretty great. It's in a great location regardless if you are planning to walk around or use the public transport system. Although, they could use some work in the cleaning department. The bed sheets were pretty clean, but not the decoration sheet used over them. Also, there was obvious dust in many places (above the bed and the desk) and stains around the TV. Worst example was a tissue box which was originally found in the bathroom and it was really dusty. The bathroom in general was clean, but the shower doors were not (plenty of dark spots from humidity - which shows chronic negligence as it's not forming in one day). Breakfast was really good and had different options every day. We haven't visited the bar to check it.

I've been staying at Marmara for 4 nights, everything was fine. Good breakfast buffet, clean room, friendly staff. The only little disadvantage I can think of is the toilet, it is smelly and doesn't flush properly. Since I was out most of the time it didn't bother me. I would come back here for sure.

Good localization and quality/price”
The location is excellent and the reception staff are very friendly and available to answer our requests or queries. Rooms and bathrooms are good but could be cleaner on arrival. The rooms are too hot. Breakfast is varied and good. However, when the hotel has many guests, the wait time to get food and to have it replenished is long and the service is clumsy. For these reasons of delay, sometimes breakfast time should be considered and food should not start not start to be picked up before 10am. In general I would recommend the hotel considering the quality/price, location and friendly staff.

Something we didn't like was that when we first came into the room, there was an opened wine bottle in the mini bar, and some litter in the bin. We notified the staff and 3 days later, the opened bottle was still there... But the hotel was nice, the breakfast good,etc.
