Greatest hospitality in Budapest”

Whenever you go to Budapest, Melinda Apartment is the first choice! Melinda herself is a really nice person who will serve you as a human or a friend, rather than a customer! She will also give you lots of information about Budapest, which you may not find on internet or at those tourists information spots. She even show you the location of the nearest supermarkets! It's the greatest hospitality I've ever experienced! You can't ask for more! And the price is very affordable as well, especially for backpackers with a limited budget. The apartment is only one street away from the Parliament, and you can easily go to the other side of River Danube by crossing Margarit Bridge. Nice location, and superb service!

The only place to stay in Budapest”

Melinda and her apartment was the highlight of all of our accommodations during our 3 week road trip. The apartment is spacious, clean and located just behind the houses of parliament which makes exploring the city very easy. Our first night was magical as we just wandered down the road and were immediately enjoying the lights of the city and walking along the Danube. Melinda is an incredible host. She was warm, welcoming and very engaged in ensuring that we had all the information and tools that we needed to maximise our time in the city. Melinda was also very communicative in the run up to our trip and we were grateful for her patience and kindness when we arrived, as we were later than expected. Parking is easy as there is a garage close by. We did not take Melinda's advice regarding the parking and ended up with a ticket that could easily have derailed our time in the city but Melinda helped us with the logistics of this and saved our trip. Loved our stay! Thank you!

Value for Money”

The apartment is neat and clean, and located just next to the Parliament. It is so convenient with public transport where stations of Metro M2 and Tram lines 2 (the most scenic tram route travels along the river), 4, and 6 are just within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Melinda the landlady is such a nice and helpful lady who will assist you in every way she could. Local Hungarian restaurant nearby as recommended by Melinda is so nice and charged reasonable/cheap price. I would strongly recommend Melinda Apartment to anyone who visits Budapest!

Wonderful break home from home”

From the moment of booking and Melinda's fast response and personal email we knew we would enjoy our stay in Budapest. Her friendly welcome and giving us local knowledge about the best things to see and do as well as the best local restaurants, made for a wonderful time in Budapest. We would recommend this apartment to everyone. It's very traditional but so clean and warm and had everything you will need away from home. Budapest is a beautiful city and so much to see and do and all affordable - one if our best holidays especially the New Year celebrations are an experience and lots of fun. Thank you Melinda.

The apartment just beside the parliment and near to public transport. The apartment is very clean and the landlady Melinda is very friendly and helpful. She share with me all the information needed when I'm in Budapest. when I stay in the apartment, I feel like home and feel very comfortable. A home from home.”

We loved the old world charm of this apartment on Marko Street and that it felt more like a home, with so many personal touches - books, music, lots of chairs and sofas and a balcony overlooking the garden. Melinda greeted us like old friends and gave so many good recommendations on good food, how and where to travel around the city. The bedroom and living room were massive and very comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were less well equipped - but authentic to the old style apartment and perfectly adequate. We would definitely return.

Excellent Budapest choice”

A perfectly located apartment close to public transport options and only a 20 minute stroll along the beautiful Danube to the city centre. Melinda is a fantastic hostess who was very helpful and friendly and she keeps her apartment in a spotless condition. The kitchen equipment is excellent and the wifi was good. It is a bright and comfortable place in a fantastic city for a very reasonable price.

The location and apartment was perfect... Melinda took such good care of us by telling us, where to go, what to do, and gave us helpful tips to save money on food + parking. I couldn't have expected a better experience. The apartment fit all our needs and was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day. We spent 5 happy days there. Large and confortable appartment, nice living room, bed room, confortable bed, fully equiped kitchen, Wifi, TV, books. Nice decoration. Very friendly, smiling and helpful English speaking owner (Mrs Melinda). Perfect location. 2nd floor of a classic building. Nice and fashionable area: art galleries. Walking distance to train station, Parliament building, groceries, and most places to visit. Few blocks to subway and famous tramway line No 2 along Danube shore. We sure will come back!

We loved it. Had a very late arrival but Melinda waited up for us, was always in touch by email or sms. Gave us loads of information on the first day with a map and explained what was nice to see and where to take care and always around if we needed her. Very very helpful. The city is beautiful.

Inexpensive unique apartment”

This was my second apartment in Budapest in a week. As compared to my 1st apartment near Deák Ferenc tér, the location of Melinda was not as good. It was quite a walk from Kossuth Lajos tér and Nyugati pályaudvar. But it was located very near the Danube, great for evening stroll after dinner. The apartment was old, but clean, uniquely-decorated and cozy. The inexpensive cost gives it a high value for money.

It's an apartment”

It is an apartment belonging to the owner. Airport pick up to her place is Euro 18 per trip for 2 pax. Please call or email her if you require airport transfer. The only setback is the heater requires some time to heat up! As the heater sensors will shut automatically if the bathroom is too steamy! The wifi is fast and stable.
