Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel, 14 -18 August 2020. Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel is now open and travelers are back after the peak of the covid-19 crisis. As always, the staff is extremely helpful, attentive, and welcoming. My room (719) was perfectly clean, bed comfortable, and everything in good working conditions, including the AC. Swimming pool was not yet re-opened but will very probably re-open soon. Overall, a very pleasant stay both at the Mercure Budapest Korona Hotel and in the beautiful city of Budapest.

Enjoyed it very much, it is a great hotel and value for money, it's location is right next to Metro station and nearby tourist area. I stayed there for 5 nights during my 14 days holiday in Budapest. I should have booked this hotel all the way through. Well, I will surely do that when I return for another trip.

Great Location to get to the museums and old town”
It is not located right smack in old town but this location has its charm as its near the bridges to easily cross over from Pest to Buda and a short walk to the Main Central Market. Located near the jewish quarter, and also at one of the main stations, its quite easy to get to other places within Budapest if one is too tired to walk. Having a junior suite room we also automatically get to enjoy their evening specials at the lounge. They did forget to set up our extra bed but they were rather prompt in making sure they did so as soon as we called housekeeping.

Had a glitch with Agoda reservations that included dinner while the hotel said they cannot accept that on the price we paid. Agoda team and the Hotel has worked it out for the best. Would recommend double checking that when booking.

Love the location. Hotel is only 30 minutes bus ride from airport. Directly above train station, within walking distance to various attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms are spacious.

Price for hotel of this quality is a good deal. Helpful staffs, just that response could be a bit slow. Otherwise, its a great deal and I would consider to go back there again.

Room not satisfactory”
The hotel is in an ideal location and walking distance to many sights. Buffet breakfast satisfactory, staff are helpful, but the room was a disappointment. Prior to Mercure I stayed in NH for 2 nights at a lower rate but the room was much better and the breakfast buffet more diverse. Which is why I gave a disappointing rating for value for money.

My feedback from hotel is very good . From Agoda very bad as I complete the reservation with breakfast and dinner . Arrived to hotel they informed me the dinner not included . I sent an email to costumer service without reply and this give for me bad impretion .

Can't beat the location”
Booked a twin room under children under 12 stay free for 2 adults and 2 children. Pleasant surprise: big room and 2 extra beds at no charge. Clean room and bathroom, very nice breakfast. Note: while there, buffet breakfast was served in two adjacent spaces. Same choice, however one of them had the so called called "hungarian corner" with some extra yummy stuff. Location is great: we had a great view onto Kalvin ter, the church and the museums garden, all at once - had a corner room. Easy walk through to the Vasarcsarnok (old central markets), Gellert baths and all the way up to Lanchid. Great public transport connection: 2 metro lines, trams 47 and 49 at the door, ram 2 at 5 minutes walk.

perfect location and good hotel”
Room is quite small. They didn't clean it everyday just to pick up trash. We had to ask for more soap. Concierge very nice and helpfull. We took car from hotel to airport for about €25.

Good, but could use some improvement”
Rooms were spacious, but a bit dated and not very clean. Service staff were helpful, but they seemed like they hated their jobs so much and each request made was a bother. We called for laundry service three times but no one ever came up to our room. Location was good. The hotel isn't located along the Danube, but it is in the town center and right beside a tram station and a subway station that serviced two lines.

This is a modern convenient hotel, but lacks any charm or character, with accommodations best described as "basic" - barely what you pay for! The hotel does feature a swimming pool, something of a luxury in Europe, but even the most ardent swimmer should prefer an outing to the city`s Szechenyi or Gellert baths over a hotel facility. Front desk staff were professional enough, nothing was lacking, including free internet in the lobby, but the particle-board furniture and unyielding beds of the rooms would discourage me from returning, even if the noisy street construction outside were completed soon!
