I booked for a non-smoking room and when we arrived, the FO staff told us that our room was a smoking room. So I told him I booked for a non-smoking one. I hope they contacted me before-hand because it put a risk to my mom’s health. We didn’t have a choice but to go through with it because it’s hassle to change hotels. We checked out pretty early (8AM) because we couldn’t stand the smell of the room. Also, the room looked so rusty. Well, you get what you pay for.

The rooms were fairly basic, but comfortable and clean and the staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast was good. It's close proximity to Nagano Station made it a good choice for a one night stay. Thank you.

Excellent value for money”
Very cheap room with free breakfast, unfortunately I asked for non-smoking room and was given a smoking room smelt like a chimney bit better when I let some air in but definitely value for money near the station. If I was given a non-smoking room I manage it would have been a better experience.

the hotel is in central location, few mins walk from the JR station. very clean. but the wifi need to be improved, it is very slow and drop out all the time.

The best hotel for travelers in Nagano”
This place was so rad. First, it was a 3-minute walk from the train station, and another 3 -minutes to the bus I needed to catch after checking in. It is a 30-minute walk to Zenko-ji Temple. When I first arrived, much earlier than check-in, the staff greeted me by name and allowed me to store my luggage while I explored. The hotel has a warm, inviting feeling, and the staff were friendly and kind. Only downsides were no hot-tub/onsen or free bar, and my room was a smoking room although I requested (through the booking agency) a non-smoking. Breakfast was incredibly good -- rice, miso, curry, and pickled veg. They also gave me a ticket worth 1000 yen for food at Nagano Station. I loved staying here; total win.
