By far the best hotel we stayed in!!”
When we got to this hotel we been taken care of from the moment our foot was out of the taxi. Someone picked up our bags and showed us the path to the clerk . A very nice guy welcomed us and asserted us to the room. When we got to our room we noticed that it isn't the room that we ordered and went to ask for room change. The gut at the lobby told us that the hotel was fully booked and that tonight our room could not be changed , and instead offered us a dinner at the New York café. The line to get in to this amazing cafe was at least 30 minutes long and he made sure that we get a table without any wait , we ordered whatever we wanted for free and that was a great compensation for the room we got. The next day we moved to the room we wanted and everything was exceptional ! The room is well designed and has no flaws , the balcony and the bath are spacious, the bed felt great and comfortable . This place had the best breakfast we ever had! Lets start with the place where we ate - its designed like a beautiful museum from the 18th century and just walking in there we already felt like kings! the food variety was wide and the service at the meal was out of this word - starting from ordering eggs the way you like straight from your table and the having a fresh fresh squeezed of your choice. The pool was a little disappointment because of its size and not having any chairs to place your stuff next to the pool . Also one of the saunas didn't work but its really minor. So again the you the guy from the lobby and the New York hotel staff that made our little vacation the best we could ask for!!

Trully beautiful”
Well, this hotel is truly beautiful. Staff was great, room nice and spacious. We didn't get to see the spa, because of the pandemics, but on the other hand there was very few people, so we had the world famous NY cafe just for our selves. Even through the breakfast wasn't buffet style, it was still amazing, with their own bread, coffee and I can believe I am saying this - their fruit salad.

It is a beautiful hotell with best location. The Staff were really helpfull and polite. The room was big with a comforting bed. There are to things that I would have liked improved: -After using the shower , you could smell drains . - It took forever for our eggs to be prepered at breakfast. Other than that everything was great .

I will start with saying that the staff is professional and well mannered, so the interactions we had were fine. The hotel hall, bar, restaurant, elevators are beautiful, but our experience with the room was disappointing. The room was quite full of dust, many parts were damaged and it gave the impression of not being maintained that well. We had 2 small complimentary water bottles, which was chlorinated tap water that tasted awful. The room had nothing in common with the pictures advertised. We didn't try any services so we can't comment on them, but I assume they're ok. We had a reservation for a premium room with view and terrace. Upon arrival, we were told there must've been some problem in the system and none were available so we were offered an "upgrade" to a junior suite (without view and terrace). I insisted that I wanted the terrace and that was the main reason I booked the room, so the receptionist called the cleaning crew to check if a room was free. Turns out one was available and we took it. The room was completely different than the advertised room, the view was not the same and it was mostly blocked by the huge pillars the terrace has. I was disappointed, but at least we had a terrace, so better than nothing I guess. The breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional and we definitely had better breakfasts in "lesser" hotels. In conclusion I got the feeling that it's all a façade, they try to impress with the looks but the substance is not there.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the room is as expected for a five star hotel. The visitor service was not up to scratch. I asked for suggestions for local Hungarian fashion designers and the concierge didn't really know. The spa was closed. I went to the beauty centre which was not great. But the main reason I would not stay there again is the location. I like to walk when I travel and the hotel is very far from the main tourist areas and the shopping area. Walking around the area, the neighbourhood is not upmarket as is usually the case for these type of hotels. There is not much in terms of fine dining and good shopping nearby. The New York Cafe is next door which is good, but most of the Michelin star restaurants are a bit further.

Lovely building, overrated hotel”
The hotel is located in a historic building that looks amazing. The rooms are really classy, but they could use some renovations especially given that the windows do not provide good enough soundproofing for keeping out the noise from the busy street in front of the hotel. Service at the restaurant, especially during breakfast deserves 1 star: we had to queue for around 10 minutes to get seated to a table that was not set up. Staff at the restaurant is really slow and disoriented.
