Need to walk for around 10 minutes to the hotel from train station. Need another 10 minutes to walk from hotel to the Rathus. Hotel room is clean and large. With satisfactory service provided. But I was a bit worry about the security on the road from train station to the hotel as there were drunk people around.

It’s not locate at a good area. Too many black people around this area. From train station walk to this hotel , even is a few minutes walk , buy u can see all immigrant around , Begger just around corner. Lucky for a night stat. Would not stay around this area next time.

Due to Covid 19 our room was not cleaned. Promised a double bed yet they pushed 2 x single beds together not good enough for a couple. Housekeeping just opened the door and let themselves in whilst my partner and I was sleeping. Disappointing stay

Perfect choice ”
Selected this hotel on-line and a first-time visitor to Hamburg. Location is just a short ten minute or so walk from the central train station, so no need for taxi expenses. The check-in desk were v efficient and had all my details to hand so was in my room in no time at all. The bedroom was just as seen in the pics, minimal, stylish and a great modern shower room. I added a breakfast each day (€10 per day) and this I thought was good value and a good selection of food and excellent coffee. The breakfast area was never too busy. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Hamburg.

fast wifi, morden & simple design”
Very nice design and just around 7 min walk from the Hamburg main station, therefore I can find good and cheap foods nearby easily. I was there for a business meeting therefore internet is essential, and this is the reason I chose DAS as they have free and fast wifi in every room. Breakfast choices and not as many as I thought but they are quite tasty. However the hotel does not provide toothbrush / slipper so you have to bring on your own. Also there is no fridge in the room so you cannot cool you own drinks / desserts bought from outside. PS. There is a Lidl supermarket very closed to the hotel so you can buy your own snacks.

Clean, big and quit rooms with excellent staff”
Hello, we are an Afghan familly we speak persian and no german skill, we were very happy that the kind lady at the reception was Iranian and spoke persian with us, she was very helpfull and kind, also the other staff were very kind and helpfull, all of them with excellent English skill, rooms were very clean and big, lonely negative point we expected the breakfast with better choice, but still not a big problem, once again special thanx to the iranian lady at the reception and other staff members for being kind, I hardly recommend this hotel as the price was not bad either, you will not regret Best regards SAIAS ABDUL

Convenient location, comfortable hotel.”
Upon arriving in Hamburg at the Hauptbahnhof (main station), it was a relief to learn that this hotel was only about 10 minutes' walk away. This made it very easy for us to get around by foot and train. The rooms were quite small, but they were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, although there were two of us in each room (sisters and friends), the hotel was only able to provide us with one room card for each room, which was a bit annoying. They said they didn't have enough to give us one each. Also, the wifi system was down for our whole first night and day. In fact, when we returned to the hotel on the second day, we were unable to access our room as the whole internet system was down and the room key was not working. We had to wait for the staff to contact the housekeeper to get the masterkey, which was rather stressful as we were booked on a train within the next 40 minutes. Breakfast was not included in our package, but we ate there each morning. The buffet was very good with a good variety of foods to choose from. The restaurant was attractive and light-filled.

It is hard to get a taxi yourself from DAS Hotel. Luckily the receptionists are kind enough to help. You will need to iron your clothes at the storage room behind the receptionist counter at the lobby. The receptionist did a mistake to say that our 4 night stay are inclusive of breakfast upon check in. She reaffirmed when we confirm with her. Upon check out, she asked for breakfast payment for the 4 nights. We negotiated with her manager and he apologized for the mistake. Other than that, this hotel is great!

Nephews Stag weekend ”
The hotel was about 10 minutes from the train station. When we arrived around 11.00am we couldn’t check in until 2.00pm, but hotel reception done all the booking in and allowed us to store our luggage there until the rooms were available. The hotel has its own restaurant, but there are plenty of places to choose from in the area. Overall the hotel made for a pleasant base to spend such a special weekend.

reasonable price in convenient location”
We were there for a short weekend trip. Location is quiet convenient for short trips to whole Hamburg because you are close to the Central Station Hamburg and appx. 10 - 15min walking distance to the shopping streets, Aussenalster and City hall. Rooms were clean, and big enough for two persons. We booked without breakfast and didnt have any disadvantage. Hotel is located in a street with many food shop (turkish) and some small bakery's. Only problem is the get a parking spot as the hotel owned is extremly small and limited and you have time limited park spots on the street.

Bad Location, Super Internet”
The hotel itself is alright, except some of the employees working there. The chosen location is one of the worst area of Hamburg. On the street, if you stop for a while, sure you will get somebody next to you trying to sell something. Not for families with children, and probably not for who are looking for some prestigious for their business deals. I recommend west side of Hamburg (close to the Old town area) for same rate and so much better location.

The Hotel can be reached via foot in approximately 10mins from Hamburg Hbf. However, as a couple with a young child, we experienced difficulties in the following areas: (1) No kettle/coffee flask is provided. This means that we need to make very frequent trips to the bar/kitchen to get hot water to make milk; and (2) There are a few short flights of steps to navigate to get to the lift/room. For travellers with heavy luggages this will be a challenge.
