Amazing 4-star Hotel!”
Upon our check-in, Joseph spent a good amount of time showing us a map of the city and giving us recommendations of where to go and tips for seeing/getting around the city. It was awesome to be greeted with warmth and recommendations! We were given a small upgrade to a bigger room and it was not only large but very comfortable. The staff are friendly, gracious, helpful and always greet you when you come in/out, even getting the door for you. The only small complaints we have are that the toilet paper was one-ply, rough and small rolls that we had to call up daily to be brought more. And the bath towels are on the thinner side and not very soft. These are so minor and shouldn't stop you from booking. This hotel was in a perfect, clean, comfortable condition. We would stay again next time we are in Barcelona!!

1. Friendly, speedy check-in. 2. Haul my luggage to my room while I am still checking in. 3. Accommodate my needs for a room with special needs, complimentary. 4. A welcome card from the hotel manager along with a glass of wine and snacks, for my first visit. 5. The room is very clean, good vibe, comfortable. 6. The room is quiet. 7. Ask if I want to have bottles of water after I check out, and ask if I need any help to getting me to the airport. 8. Close to most attraction by walking 20-30 minutes, train station to BCN airport is 9 minutes walking. Very pleasant stay. Sure will stay here again on my next visit.

Superb location and fantastic staff! ”
This is our belated honey moon/anniversary with our 3 years old daughter. Everything is perfect, and we love the friendly, helpful and down-to-details staff that welcome us every time they see us. The room is well-equipped, spacious and quiet if you think of you are actually sitting in the center of the city and right next to the bustling street. Walking distance to most of the famous attractions, great selections of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. We’ll definitely come back again! Thank you for having us!

The staff at Olivia Balmes was incredibly friendly and professional, the facilities were perfect and the location could not be better to go around and about Barcelona. Everything was very good but the real plus at the hotel is it’s wonderful people.. definitely returning there next time I visit Barcelona.

Recommended, especially since it’s worth the value, all the staff were really nice and helpful plus rooms were really clean. Only feedback I would leave for the hotel is to get proper queen beds (they were just 2 single beds put together) and pillows.

This is a great hotel to stay in, the ONLY downside is no room service available and the pool side bar could offer a better drinks selection and food options. I would highly recommend it for the staff alone as that is what makes a stay special.

This hotel is the BEST at communicating with their guests even before they arrive! The staff has a heart and are very thoughtful. I didn’t even stay there and I was so impressed. THAT is what you call service. I will tell everyone. 2 days before I checked in to the hotel I r’cd a call that my mum had passed. I emailed the hotel who advised that b/c I booked with Agoda I had to cancel thru them. The hotel constantly wrote me emails of comfort and even reached to Agoda on my behalf to assist me with a refund. Agoda you were not nice. It was an extenuating circumstance despite the type of booking. I can produce the death certificate and was hoping for a full refund. The Olivia Balmes hotel will get my booking directly when next I visit Spain. Sadly, Agoda you and your team will not get any good reviews from me. Your service to me was not considerate during my time of unexpected grief. The hotel Olivia gets 5 stars and more. Regrettably Agoda gets no stars.

Great spot in a bustling location”
I wouldn't want to stay in Eixamples area for long, but it's nice for part of a trip, and Olivia Balmes is a terrific choice in the area. The staff are very helpful and the hotel is surrounded by great places to eat, drink, etc. Be careful about restaurant recommendations, though--I asked for a booking and was told the place I'd chosen was "touristic," which was great info as I wasn't looking for a tourist experience, but the substitute the hotel chose for me was totally touristic as well.

The Olivia Balmes actually surpassed our expectations of a good hotel. The staff at the Hotel were the highlight as they made our stay comfortable and very easy in a city we were visiting for the first time. I can't emphasis how exceptional they were in helping us find our way around, to recommending excellent restaurants and finding us transport. The hotel itself was great too with modern, stylish and very clean rooms. The laundry and cleaning staff were super efficient too. Location was decent as well, being just a 10-15 minute walk away from the centre of the city and having a number of great tapas another restaurants around the corner. Pro tip: Ask the reception for some great restaurant recommendations. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will be looking out for Olivia Hotels for our future stays.

Great location- walking distance to most sights. Great restaurants all around the hotel. Hotel staff so welcoming upon arrival and helpful during the stay. Hey even upgraded us to a larger room when we checked in!!! That was so nice of them. The pool is amazing to relax after a day of sightseeing. Next time we come to Barcelona we will definitely be staying at Olivia Balmes!

The service at the olivia balmes hotel stood out way above the norm. 5 Star level professionalism and courtesy. Joseph, reception manager, was especially helpful for us as first timers to Barcelona. Restaurant was superb both in food quality and service. We loved it here. I'll always come back to olivia balmes when in Barca.
