Pleasant surprise”

We checked into this apartment because we are stuck in Budapest due to the volcano ash and cancelled flights. It is a pleasnt surprise as the room is big. Washing machine is available in the room, which makes our unintended stay much less miserable. Location is perfect, the Opera house is just around the corner. You can found nice cafe, supermarkets, 24-hour store nearby easily. As we were stuck, we need to extend our stay on a daily basis, depending on whether we can catch a flight or not, they keep the same price all along without making any fuss. Staffs are really helpful.

If you are looking for accommodation that is relatively cheap, centrally located, reasonably comfortable and adequately furnished it is hard to fault the Opera Residence. The apartment lacks a few small extras and welcoming touches - and the housekeeping and maintenance could be improved - but the facilities are more than adequate and it represents excellent value in one of the best locations in Budapest.

location was great. short walk from opera station. co-managed with hostel, so the staff spoke good english and were all very helpful. small supermarket was 1 min away, which was very convenient. the room did not have any air conditioner, so the room was very hot and humid. there was one fan, which did not help much. we managed to sleep with windows open, but the noise from street bothered us too. there are some bars and restaurants around, so noise continued even after midnight. avoid this place during summer. other reviewer mentioned, but there was one time when there were blackout. in our case, tt was only one hour or so, but it was our dinner time, so we had to eat in complete darkness. maybe blackout is common in budapest. bring flash light if you got one. wifi was slow, but was working most of the time. there were note in the room that wifi connection is not guaranteed, so if you have to work, maybe look elsewhere. in general, it was average apartment. i might come back, but never during summer. they seem to have heater, but not sure if it works.

Perfect apartment in perfect location”

The building is located in Budapests VI. district, one of the safest and most beautiful parts of the city. Our apartment had a bathroom w tub and washing machine, separate toilet, living room with kitchen unit, tv and dvd-player, balcony, bedroom. It was furnished ikea-style and very clean. No breakfast/food included, no maid service.

Massive apartment right in the centre”

i'd already read the reviews so i knew i had to check in at the hostel opposite. this was really easy. when i opened the door an alarm went off - i was really worried thinking i'd got the wrong place. if you close the door it stops - but this isn't obvious when you've got a loud alarm ringing around you. i wish they'd told me this. once inside it's great - absolutely huge with everything you could need. there are lots of instructions about how to use everything - except the washing machine. as a man i couldn't work it out - shame as i had washing to do. i'd recommend this place - it's huge and central - but remember the alarm will go off - close the door behind you and it's gone.

Friendly, helpful staff and a large apartment”

This hotel was really good of price unless you require a very clean environment. For those who would like to stay in Budapest for a week or more, this hotel could be one of the best choices for the hotel has everything you need to live.

Great staff and nice location”

Staff was very nice and helpfull giving us tips and insights about what to do and see in the city. The room was big with a lot of facilties inside ( washing machine as example), I must say it didn't had air conditioned and we suffered a bit from it but nothing special since we spend most of our time visiting the city. Regarding the location, not in the center but not far from it. 5 to 10 min walking and you are right there. If you would like to go for drinks and clubbing in the night, then it is very cose to some streets with biars and clubs. I would return there - great price/quality offer.

We stayed in a great 4 person apartment which had a small but modern kitchen and good sized bathroom. It actually could have worked great as a student apartment - as in I would live there for real. The kitchen even had wine glasses. Staying in an apartment setting instead of a hostel or hotel enhance the experience for me.

booked a few hours before arrival, everything was ready. i've been working in a hostel just down the street and heard of this place by reputation. i needed a quiet night alone with a special guy and this place was perfect. whole apartment was very comfortable.

Nice location and very close to Opera House”

You will find nice restaurant around this apartment and in case you like to prepare your own food there are also a couple of supermarkets nearby. For checkin, you need to go to the reception on the left after you enter the building, and it is open for 24 hours (Riga the bell in case main gate is closed at night)

OK but noisy”

Everything was OK, but during late evening and even night it was a big noise from other appartments (big group of young people from one of Arabic Countries).

Acceptable”

Location facilities are not well served. Especially no soundproofing, the corridor was so narrow that it was very inconvenient to carry luggage. It's a place I don't want to visit again.

Conocía el hotel del año pasado y por eso lo elegí. Este añonos dieron dos habitaciones en lugar de un apartamento. Una de las habitaciones olía fatal a comida, no tenía aire acondicionado y era imposible dormir con la ventana abierta por el ruido.La otra habitación tenía aire acondicionado pero el mando a distancia no aparecía. También tenía DVD pero igualmente sin mando a distancia. Vamos que muy mejorable

大型アパートメントで場所はいいのですが、毎回のドアの開け閉め、人の話し声、タバコの臭いなど、気になる事ばかりであまり良く眠れませんでした。

真下は飲み屋、周りは朝方まで会話の声が聞こえ、まずまともに寝れません。クーラーなしの夏は地獄で、清潔さもなく、シャワーはカーテンが短すぎて水が床一面に漏れます、、、。コスパはまあまあですが、日本人の観光客にはお勧めできません。安眠、清潔さ、クーラーを求める方には他のところをお勧めします。

一人旅で一泊利用しました。アパートの一角を宿泊用に提供しているようですが、入り口が分かりづらく、隣の不動産屋さんに教えてもらい、何とかわかりました。部屋は綺麗で、1LDKで広く、キッチン・洗濯機付きで長期滞在も可能です。中央駅、地下鉄駅からも近くて便利でした。帰りの空港までのタクシーを手配してもらいましたが、定額と聞いていた料金がそうでなかったのが、少し残念でした。
