Not a hotel but guest house ”
This hotel was a populer hotel at one time but now its a run down guest house so Agoda should reduce its status as such. You can see its run down condition from the moment you enter the premises. What you expect in a hotel is at least a good working AC and hot water. Palapa hotel has failed miserably in these 2 sections. I had to change rooms 4 times and found all of them with no good AC. They upgraded me to Deluxe room and only that had a working AC but with just enough to cool the room. But hot water was not working and the staffs gave up. Yes I write it again, the staffs gave up. I had no proper hot water during my stay. Bathroom had cocroaches and rooms had mosquitoes. Swimming pool was under maintenance even though it was holiday season. The front desk lady was helpful but staffs were just didn't care. I would not return to this hotel.

Worth to Money”
It was a family vacation and we decided to rent a room at Palapa hotel cause of the facilities offered that suit with our need like: room size, bed size, bathroom facilities (our children love to play in bathtub). The staff was great, they were really helpful with our last second additional request. Unfortunately, we was ordered a deluxe room with 1 double + 1 single bed, but we got 1 double bed only.

May option hotel when visit to Purwokerto”
The property was built using old concept form. It was not high building but still being a big building with many rooms inside. Room was clean, there is no chair and table. Breakfast was limited menu for choice to enjoy it. Staff and service was good and helpful Especially when checked out we need a taxi ahead to bus terminal, so we got the car hotel free service. Located near shopping area of center city. It was option hotel in Purwokerto.

Preferred budget hotel in Purwokerto”
Newly renovated family room with electronic access, breakfast serving delicious local menu, free shuttle from and to train station, spacious and clean family room, and also friendly staffs. The only drawback is just the location which is not in the city center or places of interests. But since one of the online transportation provider just open their service in the city, that problem is now solved. Thank you Hotel Palapa’s Team. Definitely will choose this hotel again as preferred stay.

Very happy having stayed here a couple of times over the years, all newly renovated, extra spacious rooms with the best in the back section, one thing that really is needed & that is lighting over the desk, very hard to see a computer or write when there is not sufficient lighting, spotlessly clean, great, helpful staff.... not far from good shopping areas.... Highly Recommend...

As long as you get a good rate, this hotel is fine, some of the rooms i walked past looked a bit grim but my room (deluxe twin) was ok, spacious and pretty clean. power outlets are a bit dodgy but a comfortable stay for little money

overall is quite okay considering the price and space given. bed sheets are clean, bathroom and towels also clean. however my first impression coming to the room was the room is a bit smelly (damp odor). I started packing out and notice a few spot furniture looked dusty and sometimes ants crawled onto my bed (maybe the back of the bed need to be cleaned too).

The rooms were quite good and spacious. My main complaint is that nobody spoke a word of English, so it was not possible to get any useful information. And even using Google Translate, they were not able to give us any local knowledge.
