Very nice place to stay at an affordable price!”
The place is located at the center of Abenomashi which is very nice to stroll around the malls. The stations were near too but I suggest to carry only light luggages because you still have to walk few meters. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating, including the other guests who live in there. The room is small but enough for three people. The toilet is just outside our room and the bathroom is downstairs. We had a hard time bringing up and down our luggages though. Overall, it’s a good place to stay.

The location was good but not clean enough”
The house is near Abeno area, closes to Tennoji park and the food street, it was good. The apartment was not clean as I expected (the japanese room). But the price is cheap. I don’t think I could ask for more with that price

Above average”
The place was quite dirty. Staff was nice though. It was noisy you could hear everything from downstairs

Not recommended!”
-Very dirty with hairs on the bed and garbage all over the room. I wonder when was the last time that it was cleaned. -There are permanent guests who are mumbling in Japanesse at night seem to be annoyed with every guests staying in the dorm.

Absolutely disgusting”
If I could give 0 stars I would. It was absolutely disgusting, I have no idea how people have rated this above 1 star. The stench when I walked in was absolutely horrible: it smelled of body odor and a rotting corpse: absolutely disgusting. Then, to top it all off, there was a large DEAD cockroach right on my bed- we weren’t allowed to check in till after 3 because of cleaning but it was NOT cleaned : there was hair everywhere, disgusting dead bugs, dust, putrid smell- we had to leave right after we got there because it was filthy. All of our luggage smells of the place now and I am so disgusted with what I had to witness. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Do not recommended”
Room size was very small. Room was dirty. Very dusty bedsheets. Like did not get washed and cleaned. I cannot say this room is suitable for traveller also since the cleanliness was 0. Even a traveller need a clean room and clean bedsheet. Not worth for money at all. If you want a comfortable room, please skip this place from your choices since it is not a choice for you.

Cozy. Chill. Practical. This place has everything you need for a stay in Osaka. ”
The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I arrived far later than normal check-in time and was left a note to get me settled in. David, the manager, goes out of his way to help you with bookings, recommendations, and friendly chat— he even bought be some instant noodles one day! The rooms are everything you’d expect out of a hostel however they are BETTER because of the blackout curtain. The showers are great and the kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals. Complimentary tea and coffee is there for the taking. The location is great as it is off of the main road but close enough to get to major stations like Namba and Tennoji. Tennoji park is close by along with dozens of other restaurants. Compared to the price of other hostels... Peace House Abeno is a fantastic bargain! I’ll be back for sure!

BEST LOCAL EXPERIENCE”
Great place if you want to experience as locals in Osaka. I really love the environment because the house is close to Tennoji Station (10 minutes walk) and the nearby area was so peaceful and I never saw tourists around the house which means really great for us because we could experience as the locals better. But at night the environment gets really quiet and I think it's better if you're accompanied with friends. I didn't say the surrounding was not safe, only dark and quiet at night. 711 was 10 minutes around, and plenty restaurants near the Q Mall (love the bakery and katsu store nearby). The staff was so helpful but they were changed everyday (maybe 2-3 different people everyday) so you coudn't get to ask things better. Overall our experience was great. We would like to be back again someday.

Very good”
The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you stay at the common area, there's a lot of maps and tips on where to go and how to enjoy stuff in Osaka. Room was just right for the three of us, although the small area outside the room to the toilet and kitchen doesn't have heater so it's very cold at night. My brother said that the cloth used in the blanket was a bit itchy to the skin so although I didn't feel that way. I'm not sure though on futon arrangement. In other traditional Japanese houses, there are usually three layers but for Peace House Abeno, there were only 2 layers. So the bottom layer, which is a thin mattress, feels very hard to sleep on. Peach House is also very far from the train station. The nearest is Dobutsuen-mae station but it's still around 1km away. You have to go through several alleys that look like market stalls but they're closed most of the time so it's easy to get lost because we don't know how to read Nihonggo and the streets look all the same.

A lovely home style hostel”
I stayed 7nights+2nights in Peace House The staff were so lovely,House was lovely, the location was lovely too. During my staying, the vibe was like a home with quiet bedtimes , friendly staffs, made a lot friends. Also It’s good to see there were some families and Japanese choose it for staying. It’s a nice place to stay for couple days and see what the loco Japanese do normally in their life. Highly recommend, Peace.

The nicest place i have been in Japan”
I Loved this place. It is situated in an old neighbourhood of Osaka and it feels to be in ancient japanese times. There is a little park just in front of the house and a local market just few steps away. The house is a cozy traditional japanese house. The rooms are small but for us it was enough. Comfortable mattresses on the tatami floor.. The place is super clean and friendly staff.

Great budget option”
This is my first time staying at a hostel. Surprisingly it was pleasant. Was looking for a cheap place within Tennoji area (need to catch early train to KIX airport). Spend less than 8 hours here, so really was just looking for a place to stay the night after a full day out in Osaka. We checked in at 10pm and out at 5am. Pros - although the facilities are shared - the place has everything - kitchen to cook, 2 showers (great water pressure). Cons - Location felt a bit remote. did not see any nearby convenient store. There's a supermarket - 10 minutes walk. The showers are on the ground floor, so if you have go down a steep staircase. Also bringing up luggage is also a challenge. (We had help from the staff to carry it up. Appreciate it!) . Walked for 20 minutes to the train station (Haginochaya). Tips: Take train from Tengachaya Station instead - additional 10 minutes walk. A lot more train stops there)

Nice people, useful information, safe environment”
People there are friendly and helpful and they give us useful information for our trips (I went to Nara. It was beautiful and refreshing and beyond my planned destination). I haven't expected that we have good services for such a low price! I was at the guesthouse at the peak season of flower-viewing, i.e. Sakura everywhere, and I paid not much for my accommodation. It was happy and safe- I left some trivial belongings unattended at the house carelessly and they were all found when I was back. This was a bonus for me, to have a trustworthy and relaxing environment. You would love to talk with the people there.

One of the best guesthouse/hostel in this area. ”
Clean, cozy and warm traditional Japanese house with full equipped kitchen and living room. The staffs are mostly helpers from other countries, that makes the hostel very international. You don't have to worry about not speaking Japanese, although there are alway some Japanese guests stay in the house, so you also get many chance practice your Japanese if you want. If you like to make new friends and share stores or experience, this is a wonderful place for you. Besides, it's located near by JR and subway station, yet it's quiet.
