Exceptional”
We enjoyed the close location to MarienPlatz and trams. The room was small but always 100% clean and we could sleep fine. Breakfast was great, and although the dining room was small , all the visitors could eat. I would suggest to get at breakfast early to avoid the rush

Great location, comfortable”
We basically picked the place by price but it turned out to be a lucky accident. The hotel (more like a guest house or lodging, since there is no room service) is in a great location, just off Marienplatz and walking distance from most attractions in Munich. It is also easily accessible by tram (from station/bus centre) and by U and S Bahn (airport). Breakfast is good. No lifts, no bell boy or any such frills so lugging up luggage to higher floors is a haul. Our triple room turned out to be two rooms with a common bathroom, which was a bonus. The place is old and shows signs of age and could do with some renovation, but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. There was even a fire alarm one night to make life exciting, but the police and fire service responded within minutes and the hotel managed to give breakfast the next day, which was nice. Internet has to be paid for which is a bummer (even cafes give you free internet for the price of a coffee!) But the viktualmarkt outside the hotel is a gourmet food market and has some nice cafes and a beer garden! Not a place for business travellers, but good for budget travellers and families.

Great location and best breakfast ”
I really loved the pension. I don't think you will find a better value in such a great location. The breakfast was exceptional and I would stay there again just for the breakfast. Would have liked wifi to be included, but, hey, it wasn't that much more, and certainly didn't affect my opinion of the place.

This hotel is very quaint clean and in the heart of old town Munich. Nice staff our room was on the upper floor and had a nice view of the city. I would stay hear again.

Very good location, good breakfast”
Very good location, fantastic room at 5th level (Karlson's home), good breakfast (but without hot eggs or omelette). Price is ok for this location. Personal was very helpful! The only minus is bad wifi (3 eur) - almost not working.

The location is very good, right in the old city centre, walking distance from everything. the hotel is on the first floor. There is no lift. In spite of its central location is is fairly quiet. The rooms are okay. Heating in my room was very good but the heating in the bathroom did not work. The phone in the room did not work. breakfast was good. Staff was generally helpful and friendly. Once however the person cleaning up after breakfast started removing items before breakfast time was over.

This a guesthouse, not a hotel, but still very much ok in the centre of Munich. Walking distance to the subway and even closer to Altstadt. The hotel is simple, but nice and clean.

Excellent stay. Hotel had a great location, very close to the central market, beer garden, and train station. Loads of great bars, restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Very friendly staff, who spoke great english and were very accomodating. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location, basic accommodation with space for families”
We had read the reviews so knew that there were no lifts. We came prepared with just hand luggage. The accommodation is basic but relatively tidy. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the location fantastic for access to Viktualienmarkt and Marienplatz. Bathroom was tiny but good shower. If you are prepared to overlook the extra exercise with the stairs and basic facilities this is a good option for families with older children or groups.

There is a tram stop on the corner and lots of cafes and restaurants. Small shops, supermarkets are nearby. The breakfast was good. The rooms are small but comfortable. They do not have a fridge or jug to make a cup of tea. Staff are very nice and helpful. There is no lift in the building.

Not a place you will go twice ”
The rooms were clean but the furniture was old , you had a feeling that the property was fixed up by unprefesionals . The building did not have a lift and we stayed in the 4th floor , this was not a good experience! Location was great and breakfast was really nice and fresh but it does not make-up for the negatives .

Great location, needs updating”
Pros: location - so central, & great value for that. Close to tram stop, close to Viktualienmarkt. Great vibe in the area. Felt safe, esp with young child. Spacious apartment. Breakfast included. Left luggage available (though only vaguely secure). Helpful staff. Cons: lots of stairs & no lift - watch out if you have heavy luggage, pushchairs. Not wheelchair accessible. Some things need attention - one lightbulb worked in a chandelier of about 7 lights, & a string of crystals hung broken from it. Noisy at night with windows open. No air con (which we knew when we booked). Would stay again for a night or two due to location & value for money but wouldn't spend a 1-2 week holiday there.

Good value for money ”
Situated right by the Viktualienmarkt, its location was ideal for me and my mother for a holiday in wonderful München. The accommodations are simple but cosy, with very kind staff, excellent cleaning standard and tasty breakfast. Unless you have difficulty climbing stairs, or mind the beds being very firm, I recommend this little B&B warmly.
