This is a decent 3-star hotel (with 4-star price though). Reception very friendly and helpful. Our room was larger than I expected for Spain, but a bit worn out around the edges. Excellent central location: 5min walk from Las Ramblas (if you must), but more importantly it's right next to the University, 5mins from Eixample, 5mins from Raval, both are much more interesting areas than the tourist hell of Las Ramblas. We had breakfast in the hotel on our last day and it was rather disappointing and underwhelming. Overall it's ok for a long weekend, but I wouldn't want to spend any more time there.

We were 2 mummy's on a 2 night stay, wanting somewhere nice to crash our heads that was affordable. The Barca Raval was perfect, staff were so lovely and the entrance made a great impact. a quirky hotel with lovely design details everywhere. Rooms are comfortable, a good size, modern & clean and I loved the layout! comfy beds and a very good shower. We had a few broken sockets, and some minor wear & tear to the furnishings- but nothing major. We had road noise but didn't stop us sleeping!! rooftop with the views was amazing, we didn't really have enough time to fully appreciate it or see a sunset - but lovely day & night, a good intimate space. The pool was smaller than expected. if staying a week I'd like a bigger pool but we was out a lot it didn't bother us, was jus expecting something bigger from photos. Location is perfect; near las ramblas but not in the thick of it, which I liked. Was a really cool cosmopolitan area. Would recommend & will defo stay at this hotel again!

We stayed in a private room and let me tell you, it was extremely clean and fresh. The room looked almost like a 3 star hotel room! Great value for the money. Very nice bathroom. Had a french balcony as well. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, even allowed us to store our bikes in the reception overnight. Daily cleaning of our room which was great! Managed to sneak a look at the shared bathroom and that also looked extremely clean. Would definitely recommend this place. It was located on a nice street with a number of places to eat (some great pizza places), breakfast places and small convenience shops. The only downside is that there wasn't really a common area so not a very social hostel. Did not manage to check out the kitchen.

1. the apartments were not too difficult to find, but when locating on goggle maps, remember that the road is 2-way: there are apartments on both sides of the road so don't just look on one side. 2. follow the instructions in email, and check in before the trip, so that you can get the apt codes before your stay via email. 3. my friend was unfortunately pickpocketed of her passport, and we had to forfeit the next leg of the trip, thus we had to extend our stay for 1 more night. Upon calling the emergency hotline, Ariadna immediately arranged the additional night for us, at the same rates as booked, and in the same apartment. She also checked in with us to ensure we were alright the next day. We really appreciate the kind gesture and highly recommend Amister! and pls pls always carry your backpacks in front, as the pickpockets are very very rampant in Barcelona and Madrid. We saw 1 new case every hour at police. (PS - just a small note to mop the floors as it seemed a little dusty)

We really liked staying at the hotel. it is really nice, comfortable and clean. It is a four star hotel and really is, not more and not less. I'm writing this because some hotels in Europe are considered 5 star but in fact not more than 4 stars. Thats why this is a good value for money. Well, its definately not a backpackers hotel so you pay more but comfort is more as well.

About my stay = One of the helpfull staff members communicated with via watsapp and met me near the hotel upon arrival to Barcelona. My bedroom was a decent size which included a wardrob, table, chair, portable heater and fan. The Wi-Fi had a strong connection at all times. There is also a computer in the guest house for anyone to use. There are 2 bathrooms with showers. Warm water and i complimentary shampoo Kitchen was fully equipped - microwave, fridge freezer, oven, hob, sink and utensils. A nice little dinning area too. The bathroom and kitchen was always clean. Location - location is fantastic, about 2 minute walk from La Rambla. Overall I was happy with my stay, I would describe it more as a apartment.

My partner and I stayed here this week and were very happy overall with our stay. The hotel is situated very close to La Rambla ( 5 min walk) and The Gothic Quarter (10 - 15 min walk) and is surrounded by lively restaurants, bars and shops for all tastes and wallets. The hotel rooms are very clean and basic, and have had a certain amount of updating by mixing some of it's older charm (murals, statues, interesting pieces of furniture) which mostly work and add charm. One of the reasons we chose this place was because of the baroque style decorative beds, yet were disappointed to find our room totally updated minus the bed. After explaining this to the receptionist, she kindly said there was one room available, but felt it too small for 2, but let us view it if we would like to swap (we didn't, but loved the bed!) The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the breakfast and the breakfast room is very dour (The room needs freshening up) and the breakfast needs an update - the selection is very weak, with little choice and keep the food flowing (such as the eggs) I believe this hotel could achieve easily achieve 3.5 stars if it just paid more attention to the breakfast and breakfast room.

When we arrived we were a bit unsure as the entrance wasn’t obvious until we looked up to see the big hotel sign. After that we entered the hotel and checked in. We were not disappointed- this small hotel was basic but had all that we needed - comfy beds and a fab shower. The area around the hotel had plenty of restaurants and supermarkets with the airport bus less than 5 minutes walk. Would happily recommend this hotel and would definitely come back.

The best thing about the hotel is probably the location. So easy to access most of the main attractions of Barcelona within walking distance, and the metro is literally on your doorstep. The aerobus shuttle from the airport stops just near the hotel, which is very convenient. The room was just okay - reasonable for the price and the location. It smelt a bit funky and the wifi was a bit iffy sometimes but we were out most of the day so it was fine. If you're planning on staying in your room for a while, you should probably check out another hotel. It wasn't as small as I thought it would be given all the reviews, but it's not that comfortable either.

definitely good value for your money. we booked just a standard room but it was a split level room so had a decent amount of space. decor was simple but modern. bathroom was big (especially for europe) and modern. location is said to be in the 'seedy' area of barcelona but to be honest, it's absolutely fine. yes it an area where alot of migrants reside but so what? that doesn't make them criminals. we actually thought it was a great location as it was walking distance to las ramblas, barrio gotic, la mercat de boqueria etc. one warning: make sure you secure a room at the back of the hotel. our room was at the front of the hotel, and yes you get a little balcony, but at night the pedestrian street that the hotel is located on is so extremely noisy. it seriously sounded like the people were in our room!! however, if you can get a room at the back of the hotel we think that this hotel is extremely good value for the price that you pay.

Very poor customer service. Water from the apartment above us leaked into our apartment and flooded our bathroom while we were out for the day. Returning to the flat we had to use our data service provider to contact the office and report the problem. No supervisor nor manager was available to address our needs, concerns, the damage to our personal belongings, let alone the major inconvenience. Conveniently no manager was available over the weekend, would only be available the coming Monday. Conveniently the morning we leave . Never received an apology or any acknowledgement let alone any reimbursement. I will say the maintenance staff was very good, efficient and professional. Beware if you book with Dailey flats and require any service whatsoever. I would not recommend ever.

This hotel is located on a side street about half way down La Rambla & serves as an excellent base for seeing all the sites of Barcelona. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I had a single room which was in dire need of redecoration. First impression was that It looks like it's been 30 years since this room has been upgraded.. The next thing I noticed was the smell of dampness, it was awful. The room was painted a light salmon pink colour with dark wooden furniture. The bed had no headboard which meant the the large sausage shaped pillow kept rolling off the end of the bed during the night so i ended up sleeping with my head against the desk. The bathroom had a pink toilet & sink with marble effect floor & walls. The shower head (which was an old heavy thing) only had one angle, that was pointing down and when showering, it easily came off the bracket hitting you on the head and it hurt! The most disappointing thing was this wasn't a cheap place to stay either, and if I had known the realities of the state of the room I would have definitely booked elsewhere.

Great location for those who like shopping, restaurants, nightlife. Close to everything. Room is big enough and bed is comfortable enough. It is pretty noisy at night so it's hard to get a good night sleep. The lift was not working so we have to carry our heavy luggages to the third floor and it was not easy. There is no phone so you have to have your own phone in case you need to contact the check in counter for any issue or for just a question or to contact anybody (like tours, etc). I would not stay there again if not for the great location!

I've stayed at Raval Rooms many times in the past under its previous guise of Hostal Gat Xino - the new owners have improved on what was already an fine place to stay by making the decor cheerier and (crucially if you're out late in a city where it's all too easy...) moving room service to the afternoon (!). It's a brilliant no-frills hotel - there's a self-service breakfast in the morning and TVs in each room, as well as a roof terrace and little courtyard. The rooms are spotless, beds are comfortable and the staff really friendly. The downsides depend on what you're expecting - the rooms aren't the biggest and it's a bit of a climb up the stairs to get to the rooms. The down-to-earth Raval area won't suit everyone, and can be a bit intimidating late at night, but people used to big cities should be fine with it (and it's a breeze compared with crossing the Ramblas at 3am) and it's a fascinating area once you get to know it, close to great bars and little local secrets. It's not a place if you want to be waited on hand and foot, but for singles and couples looking to truly explore Barcelona, it's a great place to stay.

Pension Miami is well located near Plaza Catluna and a lot of shops and store. It's central but there are many pubs and restaurants nearby, because is in Raval barrio . My room was renovated and it was an excellent fusion of new and vintage. The only flaw was the nearby streets : carrer de Valdonzella and Carrer de la Verge are usually dirty, and many persons sleep in the streets.

Doors have a lock that opens anyway when you push the door open, so even if I booked a single room I still didn't feel safe in the evenings; nor to leave my things when I'm out in the day. The reception staff was very nice, and accommodated my request to be in a room away from the main street; however, I got no sleep for 3 nights because the place is still very noisy when other guests come and go as the house seems to have 'paper walls', and you can hear everything including the breathing and snoring of the person in the next room! Curfew / quiet hours at 11 p.m. is completely not respected nor enforced.

It's a wonderful 3-Star hotel situated near Plaça Catalunya, La Rambla, Gothic Quarter and Lo Bocqueria. It's very near the bus/metro station too. The facilities are fine - there's a rooftop with a Jacuzzi free of use. The breakfast is also very filling. The room is clean and bigger than expected. This hotel is definitely value for money! Shout out to the receptionist, Sandra, who was very accommodating with all our tourist-y questions and recommended that we take the Hop-On Hop-Off bus to make sure we were able to maximize our 2 days there :)

It's my first time to Barcelona. The staff is very helpful and informative. Easy to contact as well. Good location, near 1 metro station and another metro station location only a bit further (not too far though). Have a great view to Tibidabo from the balcony. The place itself is spacious and has pretty much everything needed for comfort. Also the place is clean and quiet, yet there's pretty much a lot of places to eat and markets nearby so very convenient imo.

Less than 5mins walk from plaza catalunya. Staff is friendly and gave really good travel trips. Kitchen is well equipped and spotless. Free coffee , a variety of tea and biscuits was a very nice touch. Toilet and shower facilities were clean. Slight traffic noise due to central location but can't hear if once the terrace doors are shut. Suitable for travellers looking for a hostel with a more chilled out atmosphere .
