Beautiful modern hotel in a great location”
Can't recommend RC Hotel Yasaka enough. The staff were incredibly kind and eager to help and the accommodations were roomy, comfortable, and offered at a great price. I would recommend RC to anyone visiting the Kyoto area. Not to mention being in the heart of the Kiyomizu district offers you the chance to step out of your room and instantly into the middle of classic historic Kyoto culture. One of our favorite parts was returning to the hotel late and night and being the only ones walking down the narrow cobblestone streets with the silhouette of Houkanji right there. Highly recommended, it was a great stay.

Modern and Perfect”
Wow, what a perfect hotel for a stay in Kyoto! A great choice if you're not into the traditional ryokan experience, or if you want a change of pace from the typical tiny, outdated japanese hotel room. The rooms are HUGE, impeccably clean, and just beautiful. Every detail is observed, from the light switches to the bathroom tiles. I'm a fan and highly recommend RC!

Great location but not really a hotel ”
Price was quite steep during Sakura season. Was somewhat disappointed that rooms are not cleaned every day and that check-in is at 5pm (although this is pointed out on the booking confirmation). Also, no breakfast was available even if I had paid.

The location is perfect for sight seeing and feeling Kyoto as it is situated in walking distance to various famous spots and in the heart of very Kyoto little paths. The hotel itself is renovated in a minimalist way with a touch of Japaneseness and a retro feel. The bed is large and comfortable.

外観からお洒落で、夜は特に写真映えします！！私が泊まった部屋は2階の古民具がテーマになっている部屋でした。 部屋の中もシンプルかつお洒落でとても居心地がよかったです✨ ホテルの周りも京都らしい建物が沢山あるので、夜にはとても雰囲気のいい写真が撮れます！ 女子会やカップルでお泊まりするのにピッタリだと思います！
