We booked this hotel last minute when we accidentally reached Munich Station instead of Fussen (we missed to alight at the correct station). The hotel is practically 3-min walk from Munchen (Munich) Central Station and you could not ask for more. Although we felt our lives where in danger as soon as we came out of the train station coz most of the people outside (well that was past 11PM) were drinking and there were patrol cars all over. That was normal- we were told. The manager asked our location and informed me that his colleague will fetch us, unfortunately we couldnt wait and just booked a cab to send us to the place which is just 200-m away. I regret. Breakfast was great (dining staff were all nice and professional) we had no expectations but the hotel made us happy at little cost (btw our breakfast was free for the whole stay thanks to the generous hotel manager)

Traveling from the United States to Germany for the first time after 38 years of marriage, we were excited but apprenhensive. We looked on line for many hotels, but continually came back to Hotel Erzgriesserei. We couldn't have been happier with this decision. We did not want a hotel that was by the main train station, we didn't want a hotel by Tourist Attractions. But we wanted one where we could have a 5 minute walk to catch the ubahn or sbahn and get to those attractions. The location of this hotel fit these requirements. This hotel was in a quiet neighborhood/corporate/business area, too which allowed us to have a quiet night sleep. All the men and women who are employees at this hotel were kind, helpful, welcoming and went out of their way to assure us a nice stay. Answered our questions, helped us with some directions and had a smile on their faces whenever we saw them. There is a nice restaurant on site, but it was rarely visited during our stay. The waitress was extremely nice on the one night we stopped to have a dessert and a glass of wine. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding. Served hot and fresh. Very clean glassware, chinaware, and linens. We found San Benno Italian Restaurant, which is right around the corner wonderful too. As well, there is a biergarten about a 10 minute easy walk from Hotel Erzgiesserei. The only reason we gave less than 5 stars on the facilities section is that we wished there would have been area to pick up a newspaper, bottled water, etc. Please note, the hotel is in the midst of refurbishing rooms. Ours was not one of the updated ones. However it was quite large and allowed us to get around comfortably inside. If you decide to stay tbere, and you need a walk in ahower, please request one. My wife and I had some trouble finding accommodations in Munich at first. Hotels and airbnbs are very expensive in Munich, but we were very fortunate to have found the King's Hotel First Class. It's very reasonably priced, a 10-15 minute walk from Old Town, and our room was spectacular. It was very clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. It had the feel of an alpine lodge, and it was one of the best parts of our trip to Munich!

Mix bag but overall great stay. Aircon was not working on the first night. Offered to fix the aircon in the morning but no offer to change room, the night shift opened the window for us. Aircon was fixed the following morning and it worked ever since. Hotel provides coffee making facilities but without coffee, can't use the facility. Asked reception for coffee, but apparently the hotel has run out. The coffee replenishment did not come in till the 3rd day and there was only one! There were tea bags though!. This hotel is great. It has better lighting than most of the hotels that we stayed in, there was big mirror with 2 flourescent lights, absolutely fantastic. The toiletries were good. The room size is great and the beddings were good, great bed and good pillow. Oh the shower was the best, One massive rainfall shower head and another for hand held! But the disappointing bit is there are too many light switches grouped together. And the toilet switch was brown, yuck. There are a few scuff marks scratches on the wall which tar this otherwise great hotel. Also, if you have children, watch out for the electrical under the bench, the wiring is dangerous, a bit exposed. My husband noticed it while he was lying on the bed. As for breakfast, it was the best. Plenty of choices and good food. Lots of fresh fruit and hot food and they have different sweet treats every morning. There are a lot of drink choices and cereals and cheeses and breads. Vegos won't miss out that much and the breakfast staff are super helpful. The reception team was good and welcome you with smiles. The waiting area is on the small side and seem to attract a lot of people. If you are coming by train, exit on the main exit (middle), cross the road, then turn on Miller st on the right and the hotel is at the end of the street, literally 2 minutes walk from Hauftbahnhof Oh Munich is so great for shopping, dirt cheap.

The hotel is conveniently located 5 mins walk to the Munich Main Train Station (Huftbahnhof). Apart from easy connections to nearby cities, you can also travel to Salzburg using the Full Day ‘Bayern’ Train Ticket for up to 5 persons including kids below 14. Plenty of takeaway food shops and supermarket (closes at 11pm)at basement level to get drinks and Asian takeaway stir fry. There is also Burger King and Macdonalds opened 24 hours. Shops are Open Everyday. Hotel has a small swimming pool which is free to use and sauna which costs €5. Choose the rooms with bathtub to soak after Long day of walking. Only thing for me is that they did not provide kettle and room noise insulation from the common corridor was poor. Also the pillows were too flat. Windows can open for ventilation and staff were friendly and professional. Offered 2 Breakfast options - continental €.9.50 and buffet €24 for adults and kids eat for free. Anyway extensive breakfast options available at the train station.

We like this place for its relatively close proximity to the railway station and Marienplaz both about 8 mins walk away. We were there in early August......so we actually won't mind even if its further, the weather was nice for strolling! Travelling in Munich is heavenly. Their transport system is really clean and efficient and very convenient! Trains actually arrive and start on the dot!! We got very cheap and sweet berries from Marienplatz! My husband enjoyed the BMW Museum while my daughter and I sipped coffee and ate yummy pastries and sausages on the slopes of a nearby big carnival grounds with lots of nice green fields and families having picnics and many food stalls selling all kinds of delicious food and deserts!! We went to many fantastic food places, cannot remember most but caught one named Augustiner am Dom on photo! All in all, we will definitely go back to visit Munich and stay in this comfy hotel again and hopefully they will give us a '2nd time stay'discount ;-) Oh, I forgot to mention the best ~ the fantastic breakfast spread!! Many types of breads and croissants and really freshly squeezed orange juice!! I always never drink juices at breakfast when travelling coz most hotels serve preserved juices.......but this place give the real stuff!!

Location: 5 mins walking from Munich main train station front door Food: Various restaurants and Fast chain food stores closed by. Room Comfort: Best as a 4-Star Hotel. Mini-bar free refill everyday during the time we stayed. Even the standard is very roomy. Room is very clean and the Housekeeping staff is very nice and responsible. Staff performace: Staff is friendly but do your own homework instead of just joinging the group tour they recommend.

good modern hotel in a new district of munich – 3 subway stations away frm marienplatz. free parking lot. rooms r supplied with lcd, phone, additional couch – modern cozy furniture. some rooms have a balcony. you’ll find fridge, hair-dryer, shower gel, soap, shower cap, sowing kit, shoe sponge etc. pretty various breakfast buffet offering fresh orange juice, eggs prepared to yr choice etc. hotel is surrounded by numerous cafés, restaurants and beerhouses.

Spent at few Hotels in Munich however Schiller 5 Hotel was the best Hotel I have stayed in Munich. It's located right at Haufbahnhof Central Station walking distance. The Hotel had great design and I loved every Moring Breakfast. The Owner of the Hotel would come and say hello to all the hotel guest and serve Coffee and was very welcoming :) I visit Munich Twice a year and will only stay here at Schiller 5 Thumbs Up for Schiller 5

Warm welcome from staff. Hotel was nice and cosy. My room was one of the larger double rooms and it was huge with more than enough room for luggage etc. the TV in our room didn't work which we mentioned to staff and it was sorted out in no time whatsoever. Customer service here was great and everyone spoke very good English which was perfect. The area has lots of good restaurants around and the area felt safe. Perfectly located near the English garden. The only minus is that the room had no tea or coffee making facilities. Other than that, there was free fast wifi and luxurious toiletries. The TV only had German TV channels but I didn't mind. I'd definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

We had initially booked another hotel located in Fürth but was being canceled due to hotel maintenance and we found this hotel and decided to go for it. The hotel was way above our expectation as we thought the price was reasonably low. We were welcomed by the friendly desk staff and was amazed at how well furnished the room is. There are also free amenities that are not usually offered by majority of the hotels. Throughout the day, you will find free refreshments at the lobby for your consumption. The hotel is just 2 mins walk away from the main bus station where most of the long distance bus would stop. Another 5 mins walk you will find yourself in the city centre, it's really convenient. If we were to be back at Nurnberg again for holiday, we will definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended!

We booked this hotel for a 2 night stay, and needed to be neat the station to catch a 7.am flight (ps trains run throughout the night to the airport). The hotel was clean, the room was large, walking distance to all the attractions, public transport available if you need it. There is a red light area "german style" which is efficient and safe and no problem whatsoever. The hotel is traditional - high ceilings, wide corridors, and comfortable big rooms. It is not impersonal and those looking for Hilton-style facilities may be disappointed. The breakfast was very very good and the hotel popular with other german tourists.

First of all, I went to series of Novotel hotels in different countries and all of them were very nice. Novotel Muenchen Messe Hotel Munich was very nice place to live in, as it was clean, very nice location, it has A/C (not all hotels got A/Cs in Germany!) and not that expensive. The room was very modern style, I loved it. As I said the location was very nice, the S-Bahn Train station was near it and a BIG shopping mall near it as well. It was simply one of the best hotels.

The neighbourhood was very quiet, which was great for sleeping both at night and preparing for a major time change by sleeping during the day. The reception was open until midnight, which was very convenient, and staff there were extremely nice and helpful. Our apartment was perfect, with pleasant decor, a nice bathroom with shower and full tub, very comfortable bed, small dining table and two chairs, and well-equipped kitchen, as well as a lovely view of the green courtyard. It was useful having an extra door between the living/bedroom and the hallway to keep out noise in the hallway. The building's location only 3 blocks from the subway/train station and steps to a bus, both of which have you downtown in less than 20 minutes (including walking/waiting times), was perfect. There are two great grocery stores within a 10-min walk (note stores in Munich close around 8 pm and are not open on Sundays.) The trip to the airport via public transport took 1.5 hours, not 49 minutes as Google Maps claimed because you have to factor in the time to get yourself oriented, buy tickets, get to the right track, etc.. Despite the cost, best to take a taxi if you have an early flight and make sure to get to the airport 3 hours early because getting between terminals and buildings especially with the inter-airport train down was extremely time-consuming. One tiny problem was that twice in the morning someone rang our phone or doorbell (not sure which). Reception told me it was probably someone in the hallway, and that does make sense because the doorbell does look almost exactly like the light switch. Management should probably put stickers on to distinguish them better, especially since the halls are dark unless you manually turn on the switch (which is great for the environment, but a little disorienting for foreigners used to there being lights on all the time in hallways.)

We loved this hotel! First, the location was perfect. Only a ten or fifteen minute walk from the train station, and literally only a block from the walking streets and shopping/restaurants of downtown Nuremberg. Our room was very clean and modern (looked like new) and the bed was very comfortable. The mini-kitchen was a great feature with a large fridge, dishwasher, and convection microwave, as well as basic dishes and cutlery, a hot pot, and complimentary coffee and tea. (We could easily live in a space like this) The hotel has a small selection of food and drinks that you can purchase in the lobby to eat in your room, also. We bought frozen pizzas one night and cooked them in our room when we were tired and did not want to eat out again. The breakfast bar was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold food and pastries, and a great coffee/cappuccino machine. Our only problem during our stay was the WiFi was slow at times. We would definitely stay here again!

Location terrific. Not a four-star hotel by any means. The beds were a very poor quality I could feel the box springs coming through the mattress. I ended up laying down two extra comforters underneath me. The next day they gave us both thick mattress pad which helped immensely. The breakfast was Of fairly good quality. Staff was helpful and friendly. If you realize that it is really a two or three star hotel and you are willing to sacrifice for quality beds it is really one of the greatest locations you could stay in. All of the major sites were within walking distance.

The hotel and its facilities were 1st class. However, we had a room on the ground floor (126) which was right opposite the reception area. During the course of our stay we could hear from our room the constant opening and closing of the automatic door leading to the hallway. There was also a lot of noise from guests who had been pulling the luggage, as you had to come off a tiled floor before you came into the carpeted hallway. At 2245hrs, i had to open my door to tell guests opposite our room to be quiet, as they seemed to think the hallway was a meeting place to air their views (in Chinese). Overall , i would definitely use this hotel again , but make sure i was away from the main reception area. Adam

Hotel is attractive - the neighborhood isn't but it is extremely convenient. Had a very comfortable 2 night stay in this 4 star hotel. Staff was helpful Could get 5 stars with a few more services and amenities, but was perfect for our needs. The buffet breakfast greatly exceeded our expectations. There were juices, cut, dried and whole fruit, assorted cereals, meats, cheeses, yogurt, jams, smoked salmon, breads, pastries, coffee, cappuccino, teas, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausages, tomatoes,other vegetables, assorted spreads and someone to cook eggs to order, etc.

Please be aware the hotel excelsior does not consider your reservation as any type of guarantee. Despite booking several MONTHS in advance and paying in full PRIOR to arrival we were told the hotel was Sold out when we arrived and were moved to hotel down the street. ‘We are upgrading you’. Well as you can see by other reviews and prices the hotel Anna is ‘no upgrade’. On top of that, no assist offered in moving our luggage or real regrets in splitting up our group as some family members had arrived earlier. From what I can gather this is a common occurrence. Would have been happy with a true upgrade, an email ahead of time., a discount on bill or even a free breakfast but nothing but a ‘we already took your money now go away’. Elsewhere in Bavaria hospitality was spot on.

It was a great experience in Pullman.. I simply love Pullman munich. Very comfortable hotel .. Feel like home. the front desk staff is really friendly and want to mention that thanks Michael and collegue for the help to arrange for a birthday surprise for my friend. Since months ago I have need communicating with Michael via email. Michael answered to all my question and tried his best to fulfil to my requests. He is a very nice person. Another pretty lady at the front desk was also very helpful and friendly. Charlet if I did not remember her name wrongly. Overall it was really good and the room did not disppoint me .. Only one point to improve, should include free wifi and complementary parking for hotel guest. The location is nearer to working site but still alright . There is direct bus from airport to the hotel side gate very convenient ... Very quiet area ... From hotel to central station is less than 15 min car rides and taxi cost less than 20eur..

Standard room queen bed (December 2018) - Excellent location, only 5 minutes walk from the main central station and just right the opposite of the bus terminal. - Spacious room and clean bathroom. Complete and good quality amenities. - Excellent wifi. - Easy and fast check in and check out. - Attentive staff. - Pool and spa available - Unfortunately we didn't have time to try them - Price is quite high due to the location. However compare to other hotels in the area with similar price, definitely worth it. Recommended and definitely will stay again in this hotel.

It is a nice place to stay, but lacks a few things as a 4 star hotel. First it does not have kettle and tea/coffee stuff in the rooms. It also does not have a safe in teach room, but they do have safe to keep your valuables in the reception. Once I ordered a glass of coke in the room and they charged me 5.5 Euros for the service( apart from the price of the coke)!, but then when I mentioned that to the reception staff, they reduced it. It is a bit far from the city centre, but good transportation service in Germany has solved this issue. There is a short walking/bicycle path from the Reim station to the hotel which takes only 6 minutes to get to the hotel, but you need to ask the hotel staff to show you that. For the first time, we had difficulty finding the hotel and in fact we ended up being lost in that region at night which was a bit scary!

Aloft Munich leaves me a good memory in Munich ;) The location is great, just exactly across one road to Munich Hbf. Very chic and clean, room is spacious with modern design. Down from the street, there're quite a lot of restaurants, like German, Turkish or Italian cuisine or you can just lay back in the lobby of the hotel. Convenient choice, just 15-20 mins walk to Karlsplatz, then you can get every thing down from the street. And close to Bahnhof is one of the best selling point of Aloft, I can save much time when going out in the morning. Breakfast buffet, choice and the replenish time are less than expected, it can be improved. All staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend to stay at Aloft Munich. Wise choice!

Five minutes of searching on my Windows phone and I'd found and booked this superb hotel at an unbelievable price. I wasn't 100% sure it wasn't a scam, the price was so good. But sure enough, upon our arrival, everything had been booked correctly. And - I just have to say this - my partner was wearing black trousers and red jumper. I had on coincidentally a black suit, white shirt and red tie. And we arrived to find the decor of the entire hotel - everything - red, black and white. Extraordinary!
