comparing other 5 star hotels in the world this one can achieve 3 stars only in my point of view

This hotel was Perfect. Even though it is not in the centre of town, it only took 20 minutes to walk to the centre and this was through a beautiful park which we enjoyed every day. Arrived late int he evening but was still able to get some food before the kitchen closed. The smokers lounge in the lobby is nice if you are a smoker like I am. The rooms were large and of the standard expected although it would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board in the room rather than just a trouser press. Breakfast buffet was pretty good.

The hotel has NO air-con I am staying in a very hot days,cant sleep due.to the.hot.wheater and had to borrow an electric fan from.the receipsionist. The room.is quite big,staff extremely nice and helpfull. I have been staying in mercure in several.countries and this is.the only one that dissapointed me

Good location, breakfast but poor service. This is not 4star hotel but recommended as 3 star.

We had an exceedingly pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are not enormous but very well equipped with all the "extras" of a top hotel, such as slippers, bathrobes, nice toiletries etc.

Staff were friendly and the hotel restaurant sells great German cuisine. Central to nearly all major attractions, like Wartburg Castle, Bachhaus and Lutherhaus. It is also near the train station. Friendly staff that will give you directions to anywhere.

Location was very walkable. Loved that the hotel had a 24 HR bar (good for when the little guy was sleeping). Rooms wer super clean and comfy.

We enjoyed our stay, Nice breeze when you open the windows. Very kind staff, the Junior suite is very comfortable while with children. Good breakfast. Supermarket 2 minutes walk, safe area to walk and quiet. Convenient hotel.

we booked a double room but it turns out that the hotel only has 5 double rooms and they were all fully booked. so we were given a twin room instead. the tv remote didn't work, so didn't the buttons on the tv itself. the room didn't have any tea/coffee available for the guests that is usually available. the rest of the room was adequate and the breakfast was of a good ...

The pension is located in a quite, lovely town and good for taking walks. It is certainly great choice for those travelers who are seeking a safe and comfortable accommodation in Turingen.

Nice small place with a good service and large, clean rooms.

This is a youth hostel with 4-bed room, but you will get a room for yourself if it is not fully booked. The bed and furnitures are simple and there are no curtains on the windows. There are common showers and toiletts.They serve a simple breakfast buffet. The rooms are clean and the staff is freindly and helpful.

It's good, but they kind of tricked me into paying €3 for linens, which were not necessary because there were already sheets and blankets on the bed. So don't take the linens. Like staying in a luxurious castle! Old but modern with all the amenities. Fabulous common areas. Gourmet dinner and breakfast.

It has an almost chic provincial atmosphere. Many local people seem to use its bar and esplanade. The bar has a very professional staff.

Location was great, heritage of building very interesting. Lovely and clean.

This is an excellent hotel. We hope to stay there again, and have no hesitation recommending it.

the hotel is situated at the end of the road after a steep climb from the town. From the terrace you have a marvelous view over the valley and up to the Wartburg castle. The staff of the hotel and in the restaurant were friendly and forthcoming with a relaxed atmosphere. With the quiet surroundings, this all makes a nice change from stays in busy cities.
