Good location & comfortable stay”
The location of the house is closed to bustling distinct (gion / Kawaramachi) and it take about just 20 minutes walk from the house or you could choose by bus (nearly bus stop just located around the main street). The room is modern, clean and equipped with all necessary facilities, it is big enough to stay up to 4~5 people and comfortable for a family. Although the procedure of check-in is a little bit complicated (the check-in location is nearby kyoto station and you will be asked to fill in the guest information by yourself), overall it is acceptable and we are appreciated to the staff who are helpful and friendly. General speaking, I would recommend to choose this stay to who wish to stay nearby gion / Kawaramachi distinct as it is very convenient!

Great place to stay in Kyoto. This was already our second stay here. We enjoyed it so much the last time that we decided to book again. Accommodation is close to the shopping district. The room is spacious and very clean. It also has a small kitchen so you can make your own meals and there is a convience store nearby. The service is excellent. We forgot our medicine in the fridge of the room and the staff sent it to our next hotel in Nagoya (for a fee). They helped us very well to make sure that we received the medicine in the other hotel the next day.

We (group of 4 adults) stayed in the executive party room and found it to be excellent in all regards. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was great, and kitchenette was very convenient. We also really enjoyed having a balcony, and a smart TV for our downtime. The location was also very convenient, as we were just around the corner from a Family Mart, and nearby to many places we visited. I definitely plan to stay here again for my next visit to Kyoto.

The reception help booked a taxi to Kyoto Station ( MKTaxi cost 970 Yen). For stays more than 6 days, your room will be clean up. Additional city tax @ 200 Yen per person per night.

Amazing place with amazing staff!Went straight to the hotel without checking in at Kyoto (Missed the special instruction) and the staff actually came all the way down just to assist me with check in. Remarkable service from the staff! Room is comfy, not too small, it's just nice for family of 3. Doesn't have English channels on tv but there's Netlfix & Youtube available on AppleTv. Food - Have to walk out of the hotel for about 5-10 minutes ~ Overall good experience! Thank you!

This was by far the most delightful place we have stayed in Japan. The room was large, and the perfect size for my family after traveling. It was a welcome respite from the typical small rooms that are found in Japan. The room was lovely, clean, and quiet. The FREE laundry facilities with detergent were an added bonus. The dryer actually worked and dried our clothing in one cycle! There is a nice pizza place across the street, and a Family Mart just a short walk around the corner. The only drawbacks from this property are the check-in at another location, and the lack of available parking for our car. We were however, able to find a coin lot just down the street. Overall, we will stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

The apartment was very quiet and close to transport. Only thing I would suggest is that the company consider providing western mattresses as to ones in the apartment provide no support. We will definitely be back to stay here again on our next trip.

Absolutely recommend this hotel. it's like a shoe box unit condo. with quiet surroundings+helpful staff+ clean environment, we have 3 children with us. they love the Apple Internet TV and we enjoyed watching the 2nd tv. the wash machine and dryer machine on each floor was easy to use, though at first instructions was a bit complex. Have to throw the rubbish yourself but the whole experience was refreshing, surprisingly pleasant and very new too. Location-wise, we can walk everywhere to bus stops and train stations some 5-15 mins depending... the bath salts were a nice touch and the microwave and plates/cutlery in room very useful. Loves it!

The perfect accomodation”
This was the best accommodation for our trip in Japan. The reception was a challenge to locate which we ended up have to ask for help to find the place. Although they do provide shuttle bus, but there wasn't fix timing so we ended up took a bus to reach the hotel(4mins walk from the bus stop) with the help of the receptionist. The receptionist furnished us the info of how to get to the hotel and how to get the key card for self check-in. You may leave your luggage at the reception and collect later but there isn't any service to tranfer your luggage to the hotel. Alternative, the luggage can be stored at the hotel store room with no fee charged (self service). The staff at the reception were very polite, friendly and helpful. They were very fast and responsive(email). The room was spacious, spotless and comfy. The room was well equipped with all the facilities and extra Japanese snack. It was a pleasant experience and value for money, I give a thumb up!

Resi Stay is just an amazing place for our visit in Kyoto, we spent three nights there. It has a fairly good location right besides the major street, close to bus station and 10 minutes walk to subway. The room is pretty big comparing to hotels in other Japan cities. Clean with well organized arrangement, big beds with low price. There are convenient store and grocery store nearby. We arrived late at night around 11pm, the instruction to get the key card is clear and easy. We get back to the reception the next morning to checkin, which is located near Kyoto station. You can purchase day pass in the same building at the first floor. Overall our best hotel experience in Japan, we hope Resi Stay has the same in Tokyo. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel for families near Shijo”
Our group of 7 stayed in 2 party rooms for 3 nights in a recent trip to Kyoto. The kids love the room layout. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. We knew about the check in arrangement before hand so that's not a problem. They have a one-way shuttle to bring the whole group to the hotel from the check in office and that was very very helpful for us. The area is quiet yet decently near to the more happening areas of Shijo and Gion, and there are many convenience stores and a Fresco nearby. Overall I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would likely stay again here in the future.

Pro Room is clean and spacious room Beds are big and comfy Small functional fully equipped kitchen area Common laundry area on every level with washing machine and dryer that works well with only 1 cycle Con - 10 - 15 mins walk from main shopping Kawaramachi area. I stayed here for 3 night with 3 kids on Mid February 2019. So surprised when we learnt firstly how spacious is the room. It is well equipped, a pile of clean and as smooth as silk towels, firm mattress, soft & warm blankets and extra pillows are among the luxury offered. Two thumbs up fo other amenities (fridge, electric stove, kettle, microwave). Check in is so efficient but open only till 8 pm. I have no idea what they have to do should a guest coming in late night. Resi Stay also offers a spacious storage for early check in, or when check out but still have a plenty of time exploring Kyoto without the hazzle of luggages. The hotel is situated in residential area, a tranquil neighborhood, although a bit far from any station or bus stop. This is the only drawback from Resi Stay Kumico Amaterrace.

Very clean and well maintained place. Two main cons. First, finding the reception location is a little challenging. Second, the place is tucked away and so taxi drivers sometimes had trouble finding it. Otherwise, good location and good value for the price
