Wholeheartedly Recommended”
Stayed overnight, as others say the location is in the very center of the city, the Great Market Hall is literally just around the corner (2 minutes of walking), as is the nearest metro station. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and quiet. Breakfast selection is quite wide and very tasty (the best I've had so far in Budapest). What I have to put on a figurative pedestal though is the reception staff - they have been very helpful, always pleasant, and went above and beyond their duties when I had a problem with transport out of Budapest and had to wait until the next morning for the next train. Residence Baron is not the cheapest option in the city. But choosing something cheaper just means you'll pay the difference in discomfort, or in sanity (speaking from experience). I'm certain that if I find myself in Budapest again, I'm staying in this hotel, they have earned a loyal customer in me.

excellent service / friendly staff”
I truly enjoyed stayint at the Residence Baron, a nice hotel in a quiet street in the center of the city, walking distance from the river, the covered market hall and tramline number 2. Very friendly and helpful staff and clean, well appointed bedroom. An added and unexpected bonus was the free internet access via a pc in the room. By the way, when you visit Budapest you just have to - apart from visiting one of the baths - treat yourself to a ticket to an opera, ballet or concert ... highly recommended!

Exceptional in Every Way”
Residence Baron Hotel was exceptional in every regard. It was a great value and the location was perfect for easy access to everything we wanted and needed. The hotel was clean and the staff was superb - always very helpful and attentive. Breakfast choices were plentiful and food of high quality. We had an early morning departure for the flight home and were given a snack package as we left. We can't thank them enough for helping us enjoy Budapest and making it so memorable. We couldn't have been more pleased. Residence Baron is a GREAT place to stay.

Great location and staff”
On returning to Budapest we decided to return to Residence Baron and found the service at reception and right through the hotel to be of the same excellent standard. As pointed out in our last review of this hotel, the public transport was very close and the hotel situated close to many places of interest. The Christmas markets were a highlight of our stay and we can certainly recommend this hotel when looking for accommodation in this area.

Small hotel with great location and staff”
Our stay at Residence Baron commenced with great service at reception. Our room was clean and everything we required after a long journey from Australia. The position was close to public transport and walking distance to market squares and many interest spots. The breakfast was served in a tasteful atmosphere and there were many choices. We also had two evening meals at the restaurant which were excellent. We would certainly recommend this hotel when staying in Budapest.

Hotel was newly opened. Quality of every service was so nice. Helpful staff (main reason for this visit was going to spas). Computer with Internet connection in the room and free wifi for those bringing a laptop. Breakfast was not included but very much worth those 7 euro. When coming to Budapest next I will certainly see what is offered at Residence Baron.

was staying at residence baron for two days and was really impressed by the high quality room and service they offered! the location is great with the main market on the door side, the victory bridge not far, gallert bath 10 minutes walk and metro not far away. the area is perfect for traveler trying to get a convenient places but away from the hassle of the city center!

Lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff.”
There was nothing we could find fault with at the Residence Baron. For us it was the perfect choice, near plenty of restaurants and cafes and the river. It was situated on a quiet street so we weren't disturbed at night. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and you could order omelettes and other hot food if you wanted. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again if we went back to Budapest.

I emailed before going with some queries and got IMMEDIATE response in good English. I told them I was diabetic, and they kept the chef on late to ensure we got something to eat on late arrival. Location was brilliant - 2 mins walk from all transport and a lovely cafe in the square. Staff were exemplary and friendly. My only one disappointment was that the Free WiFi didn't like my iPad - but there was a free computer terminal in my room so no matter. All together a really good experience in a beautiful city, which we would highly recommend. Well done Residence Baron - and thank you.

Super location ”
I stayed one night to go to the airport for an early morning flight. You cannot find a better decision than Residence Baron. The bus stop of E100 is just on the corner, 5-6 min walk. The first direct airport bus is scheduled at 3-44. So I left hotel at 3-30 and was on time at the airport at 4-10. The reception desk is open all night and the friendly staff offered to me two! good sandwiches plus an orange, plus water plus juice, because I left before the breakfast time. All transport stops are just on the one corner - trams 4 and 2, metro and on the other corner- the stop for the airport express E100. Plus the pedestrian street is also starts at the hotel! Plus central market. Also I needed to buy something for the present and the round o clock supermarket is also in the next building, Thank you so much Rene and the team!

We stayed in Residence Baron for 3 nights (see my previous review) and liked it. On our return to Budapest 10 days later, we were happy to stay in this hotel again, that says everything.

Friendly, great location and lovely clean rooms”
As soon as we arrived we found Residence Baron to be a very welcoming place. The staff couldn't do enough to help us during our weekend in Budapest. The breakfasts were very tasty, the rooms were very clean and refreshing and the whole amdience of the hotel was a relaxing place to stay.

Great locatio”
residence baron is located right next to the vaci utca street (the big shopping street) and the location is very nice, as you are close to most of the things of interest. the staff was friendly and we got a free upgrade to an excecutive room. the only problem we had was that the hotel is so warm! in the room it was so hot, and impossible to turn down the heat so we had to sleep with the window open which is not nice in january. in the breakfast-room it was 27 degrees celsius. other than that, we had a great stay! you can book a transfer from the airport for 28 euro. and remember that you have to pay a 4% city tax when you check-out from the hotel.

We were very happy about our stay in Residence Baron. The staff was very helpful, giving us information, helping to store the luggage, giving us discount for the resaurant and so on. We really appriciated this. Thank you! The location is great: Right next to the Vaci street, several walks away from the famous market and you can just walk across the bridge to the spa Gellért.

Great location, and value for money.”
The Residence Baron is in a great location. We walked to most sites, and there is also a tram stop about 25 metres from the door. The room was a great size and the bed very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was also good. The only 1 issue was that our bathroom smelled quite a bit. I'm not sure if this was because of the old pipes or because it was next door to the cleaner's closet. It was very clean, just smelly. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are a nice touch and great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

we had a lovely stay in the residence baron for 3 nights. the personnel is very polite and helpfull when you have any questions. we had a very nice room (superior room). one thing they could improve and that is placing a showercurtain so you can take a shower without a flooded bathroom!

I stayed this hotel in summer. I think, hotel has very good location, easy transportation from airport. Hotel located very close to all nigth life points of Budapest. Like vaci utca, raday utca, erzebeth ter. You can reach everywhere easily. hotel serves a very good breakfast. Rooms are very clean. Receptionists are perfect, especially night shift. Cleaning service is not good. If you don't say please change our bedclothes. They don't change your bedclothes. Genarally we like hotel. If we go to Budapest we want to stay this hotel again.

Great hotel on a good location”
Nice small hotel situated in the center of Budapest. It's located in a quiet side street of Vaci Ucta with everything in walking distance (whether you want to climb the hill to the castle is a different story). Staff was friendly and helpful. They showed us two rooms to choose from and even printed my boarding passes for the return flight for me. Only complaint is the shower in a bathtub. There was no shower curtain so the whole floor was wet afterwards.

Nice hotel with perfect location”
We had a fantastic stay in Budapest. The hotel is situated in the beat possible location, just in the centre of the city a few meter to the liberty bridge who leads to the other side (buda) of the city. The hotel was clean with a good brekfast included and really nice staff, they even fixed a doggy bag with breakfast 3.30 in the morning we were leaving. We would recommend it any day a week and would love to stay there again
