Beautiful hotel at surprising value ”
Really beautiful hotel with a fantastic mixed Japanese/Western breakfast buffet which I’ve never had before. It was so good! There also free flowing coffee, tea, juices and water outside breakfast hours! There were 2 beds with extra pullout pullout, perfect for our family of 4. Location was great, when you step outside its already the main road and so easy to catch a cab. There’s a supermarket beside it and a couple of CVS for anything you would need. If I have to nitpick, the bathroom/shower is not ergonomically designed so a little messy to use. But at least the toilet is separate from the shower so kinda makes up for it. Thank you Hanako-san and all the Richmond staff for giving us a short but memorable stay!

The room is new and clean, room size is quite acceptable. The only thing need to mention was the carparking fee is quite expensive, if u choose this hotel with ur own car, better to choose nearby coin parking lot

Excellent location”
Out of the four hotels I stayed at in my recent Japan trip, this was the best one. The hotel is located next to a fantastic supermarket, making it easy to get cheap delicious food for those days when you are feeling fatigued from eating out. There are nearby convenience stores as well if you find that the super market doesn't have what you want. Local bus lines bring you to the subway/train station in a short amount of time and can be used to easily go to Gion or the local temples/shrines. The room itself was comfortable as well, with a nice shower + bath. The beds were comfy and the lounge area has free drinks/coffee and a great place to sit and eat

Absolutely loved this hotel. Spacious by Japanese standards, with a huge aesthetically-pleasing lobby space, fuss-free check in and out, complimentary drinks at the breakfast area and wonderful amenities counter. Will definitely stay at Richmond again should I pop by Kyoto next round.

Good location, multiple buses go to Gion district. Beautifully designed hotel lobby. Check-in was sitting down on the sofa with staff come to you, very nice experience. Big room with big bathrooms. Dimaru shopping mall within walking distance.

Newly built and plenty of modern touches. I love the remote control for the lights, no need to leave the bed. Nice size bathroom, very clean and comfy. Modern and stylish lobby, feels very nice and I definitely will return!

Great Location”
The Hotel is right where you want to be. Close proximity to the train/subway and it puts you right within the area to visit all the Kyoto Landmarks. I absolutely recommend this hotel as the staff were amazing, always pleasant and easy to talk to. Cannot wait to go back.
