Perfect Location”
Location is super loved by my family, because it is right in the middle of the food and shopping spots in Odori. One entrance/exit of the hotel is right at the Tanukikoji shooping street, and across the 24-hour mega Don Quijote store. The other entrance is also almost across the high-end shopping mall. Staff is friendly. Rooms are not that big, but who needs a big room when you'll be there to go out and explore the place everyday. Right now we are already planning to go back and book this same hotel on June.

I come here all the time!”
I work from home and with the whole COVID thing find myself stuck in the house way too much. I come to stay here every 2 months to get away and simply clear my head. There's a whole bunch of restaurants in this area and a 24-hour Donki across the road as well so if you fancy a bit of 2 am shopping this is your place!

Richmond hotel is perfect location to Odori. Underground shopping tunnels connect to Odori Station. Hotel was clean. Beds were standard Japanese firm. We had a triple room (two doubles and a pull out couch). Small for a family of five but it worked. Washers worked but dryers did not.

It's a bit of distance from sapporo Station. However , tanuki koji is just downstairs, odori is 5 minutes away. It's in the heart of the sapporo city. Very good location, great staff.

The nonsmoking room we got was small but adequate. Great location, lots to do nearby including many good restaurants to enjoy dining. There is the Pole Town shopping area if you want to stay out of inclement weather and shop. The hotel has smoking rooms - avoid those if smoke of any kind bothers you. On a previous stay, we had been assigned a smoking room initially and were given another room upon request: all the air freshener and air filters could not get rid of the stench of stale cigarette smoke that lingered in the room. We made sure we requested and received a nonsmoking room on our most recent stay. Very helpful and polite staff were a plus.

Location! Location! Location!”
Rooms were a bit small for my family of 4 but its location made up for that. We enjoyed walking to the shopping district behind the hotel, fish market, Odori Park, etc. We took Chuo bus to Otaru and the bus station was only a short walk to Odori Park where the tower was situated. Staff answered to all our questions clearly and even checked weather forecast for us. I was actually amazed that the weather condition by the hour was exactly as what the staff explained to us in Takino Suzuran National Park! I will certainly check in to Richmond Hotel Odori in my next visit to Sapporo!

Great Hotel! Great Staff! Excellent Location!”
We have stayed in Sapporo many times but it was our first time at the Richmond. The hotel opens onto the covered Tanukikoji Shopping Area. Right outside the hotel there are escalators to take you into Pole Town (another shopping area). Its convenient to restaurants in Susukino and is in walking distance to Odori Park. The room is very spacious. In addition to the two beds there was a sitting area with coffee table with sofa. And the sofa pulled out into an additional bed. There was a tub in bathroom. We had breakfast included and the breakfast was very nice. Lots of delicious choices. Staff was especially nice and helpful and it appeared that all of the front staff could speak english. This hotel is about a block and a half from the closest airport shuttle stop (Sunroute Hotel). This will be our go to hotel when we are in Sapporo. What a wonderful find!

I am so glad I chose Richmond Sapporo Odori Hotel for my stay. It is located in Tanuki Koji shopping arcade, making it very convenient for quick shopping, even in cold winter weather. Then staff are quick and efficient. Maid service were excellent. Even if you don't want your room cleaned, you will still get new towels, robes, and toiletries hanging on your door when you return to your room. There are two laundry floors, and I loved how one machine will automatically put detergent, wash, and dry your clothes for 500 yen. There is a smoking room in the lobby, and a vending machine floor as well. The breakfast buffet is 1000 yen and looked good, but didn't have a chance to go. They can ship items as well. Overall I was very satisfied.

The hotel is well situated in the city. Tanukikoji shopping street is just below the hotel. the street is popular for tax free drug stores and local products shops, easy to do last min shopping to bring home. Escalator from Tanukikoji to underground shopping street and link to Sapporo Stn and Susukino Stn. We walk to Sapporo Main Stn (abt 20mins) with our luggages to take the airport train. Much convenient than taking train from Odori to Sapporo as some steps does not have escalator or lift, although you have to carry your stuff. room is clean daily and neat. Shower facilities are fully equipped and the water shower pressure is very strong. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend, good location and excellent Staff Services”
You can also take airport bus and walk within 5-10 minutes to hotel. Or travel by JR to hotel, get off at Sapporo station and walk underground around 20 minutes. Very easy access to all attraction within walking distance. Convenience to go shopping underground and many restaurant around. Bed is comfortable and room size not too small. My friend injured when walking on the icy surface and slipped down on Nov 20, Staff (lady on night shift and the one on 21 Nov morning shift) who provide excellent services and help us to arrange appointment at a nearby hospital and also taxi. Enjoy buffet breakfast very much. I would like to recommend Richmond Odori to friends.

Room : spacious, clean & bed was comfy Location : superb convenient !! You can reach Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade(狸小路4) easily by just using it's alternative door(2nd door at the back) 5 mins walk to Nijo Market, 5 mins to Susukino, approx 10-15mins to JR Sapporo, nearest subway station - Odori which is also approx 5 mins away through the underground shopping mall Staff : friendly & very helpful Conclusion : more than just satisfied !! would love to stay here again next time when I visit to Sapporo

Prime location, small and not-so-clean room”
The hotel is located in a prime location of Sapporo especially if you are staying for Snow Festival. The back of the hotel connects to Tanukikoji and it is close to ST Odori station (3-5 mins walk). I found some used Qtips under the bed and table so I wasn't satisfied with the level of cleanness.

Very centralised & convenient. We went free & easy to Otaru & all sapporo area. Buffet Bf with rice dishes too with salmon & saba fish. Few kinds of drinks & can pack coffee to drink. One buffet bf can last till afternoon tea cos when U travel U forget abt the time. Restaurant door lead to tanukoji & pole town which lead all the way to the underground shopping , subway & train. Airport liner is only 3 ins walk. Can walk to fish market , Odari Park, Factory outlet, TV station tower, Sapporo Tower etc. Lots of eateries around. 24 hrs don donki 2 minutes walk. Went Mt Moiwa take street car only 1 min walk fr hotel. Like to thank all the staff, fr front office, housekeeping, restaurant for an efficient job. Travel light we packed only 3 days clothings for 6 days. 2 floors of laundry can wear after wash as the dryer really useful. Dont have to wait just bring the small timer to yr room. Don't feel like going out lawson & 711 is just opp. Hand phone with Internet pyjamas provided.
