The room and linen were clean. Spacious and comfortable room. Staff in reception was friendly and supportive. Location was great to go to JR Kyoto station, traditional restaurant, Toji temple and 7 eleven within walking distance. Quiet even on the 3rd floor. Onsite parking was useful. I will definitely come back here next time and recommend it to anyone who travels in Kyoto 😊

The hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were very clean and had a nice interior. We didn’t have a view, but it didn’t matter because the room was enough. The staff were superb and in all the areas we visited (pool, restaurant, front desk), they spoke English quite well. The American breakfast was super good! The pool had an additional charge of ¥550 per head but it was totally worth it. They required reservations for the pool for safety purposes, and it made the experience much more enjoyable since there were only a few people allowed at the same time. They observed social distancing and made sure everyone was observing safety protocols. We will definitely come back and stay here the next time we’re in Kyoto.

Walking distance to Kyoto Station (shuttle bus is also available). Aeon Mall is also within a walking distance. Free parking is available. Good size room. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, there’s mould in the bathroom. We’ll consider to stay again next time when we’re in Kyoto (especially if we hire a car).

Nice Hotel but a bit far from the train station”
The hotel is located about 9mins on foot from Kyoto Station. Our room is spacious and clean. The staff are so polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast is a bit pricy for the food they serve. Overall, still a nice stay Rhiga Royal Hotel Kyoto.

Stayed here 3 nights in the traditional style room…. Nothing special a little cramped! But 1 night in the western style room was great! Rooms were bigger and facilities were newer as well! But overall was awesome especially the free shuttle bus to and from the station and it’s right next to Kyoto Station! Super convenient 🙂🙂

Nice style poor bedding ”
The room was nicely decorated and clean. However the comforter felt like plastic and the pillows were so soft they flattened out to nothing. Good mattress, but the sleeping experience wasn’t very good. The shower temperature constantly fluctuated between too hot and too cold. The AC system said it was working, but the room never cooled down. The window was frosted so we couldn’t see out, which felt claustrophobic.
