Clean and close to station”

Although there is shared bathroom and toilet, they are kept neat and clean with no unpleasant smell. There is a small kitchen with tables, chairs, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, utensils, etc, for the guests to prepare their food. There is free coffee in the morning. All the staff are so friendly and nice. I felt most at ease here and slept well. I am truly glad to have chosen to stay in this family business guesthouse. Being close to the bus station is convenient because next to the bus station is a convenient store (Lawson) for guests to buy their food and necessities. Across the street is Lion Cafe, where one can book a time slot for snow mobile, which I tried and loved it!

Arrived late at about 9 pm and the host received us with great enthusiasm and warmth. Excellent location and very near to the bus terminal. The owner even allowed us to have a late check out (we went for a day of ski and ended at 4 + pm) at about 5 pm with no extra charges. Breakfast was amazing too. Would stay here again!

Great place, great staff, great value. ”

Cons - this is more of a hostel then a hotel, but the staff, location, and general rooms were very adequate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wanted a great value. Also have lunch there, the soba is great.

owner is very helpful and kind”

I stayed in this hotel for my off-season hike to shiroumadake, though there was no bus going to sarukura, the owner was kind enough to arranged a taxi for me. the room was pretty much basic, it got a laundry, public shower & public area. it's near to Lawson and happo bus terminal (going to and from shinjuku) I am going back here again for my next holiday to shiroumadake!

Excellent noodles, good place to stay”

We spent one night at this hotel- the accommodations are basic but adequate. The 'Japanese style' room was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and kind. The shared restrooms were very clean. We also ate here and the Soba was outstanding. Highly recommended!
