Getting there is quite easy. It is close to borobudur. Garden was nice and huge, love the attention to detail. Really Nice to stay here to relax hearing the nature sounds. Bfast was made by the owner and tastes great. But, Room cleanliness and facilities could have been better. Thanks Mr Budi!

Poorly Managed and Outdated”
First impression when we arrived there was very difficult to find staff to check-in. Location was a bit far from anywhere. The key to my room was missing, so I cannot lock my room. I think this was very unconvenience. Other than that the rest of the area was now well maintain and very outdated.

Not worth it”
I book this hotel for my friend via Agoda aps .. Then when the time comes... My friends come there with his family.. The road is block and the hotel is closed too due to corona outbreak. What I mean is.. Until the last time they didnt give any message at all. If they give a note or something via agoda message it will be a helpfull for me.. Becouse my friends came a long way there.. And found that the hotel is closed. I am not talking about the money.. Is OK I understand.. That this corona outbreak is a huge impact for every aspect. But what I regret is. . There, s no comunication at all..

Gorgeous hotel with amazing staff”
my friend and i stayed at rumah boedi private residence borobudur on a trip to see borobudur. we arrived at 11:30 at night, and two staff members were waiting at the hotel ready to greet us with smiles. they went out of their way to help us. for those planning to visit borobudur at sunrise, the walk to the site from this hotel in the dark could be a little confusing. to prevent this, the same hotel staff that greeted us on arrival were back there at 4:30am ready to take us to borobudur - and still smiling. the customer service here was excellent. the rooms, although quite small, are very tastefully decorated and comfortable. good quality bikes are available to be hired, and the hotel will provide maps to other temples and attractions around the area. i was very, very happy with this hotel and will stay here next time i am in borobudur.

Rumah Boedi is an exceptional hotel, easily one of the best value hotels around. Each room is a separate villa and the grounds are very lush with palm trees and a very nice central lobby which has no walls (its always warm!) For such a large attraction (Borobudur) there are surprisingly few nearby hotel options (most seem to do it as a day trip from Yogyakarta but that makes little sense as to make it for sunrise that means waking up at 3.00am). The main two other nice options close to Borobudur are Amanjiwo, which is ruled out due to it $/night price tag, and the Plataran, which I'm sure is very nice but is 3-4x the price of Rumah Boedi.

A peaceful place set amongst beautiful gardens”
Rumah Boedi is in a private setting with small units having private areas to pass time in the tranquility of the surroundings. The outdoor pavillion was a place for quiet contemplation and to relax and chill out. Borobudur is close by for visiting the temple and there are plenty of other things to do around the area. Walking through the local villages into Borobudur or walking along the river is a great way to spend time, if you dont want to walk other transport is easy to arrange. The hotel staff are well trained and food at the restuarant is first class with plenty of choices.

The hotel is only a 5 minute drive from the wonderful Borobudur, for travelers wanting to be at the temple at 6am when the gates open before the heat and the crowds the Rumah Boedi Private Residence Borobudur is recommended. The hotel is a bit difficult to find but secluded from the mass tourists and therefore quiet and peaceful. The meals in the restaurant is good and for people that visit the Borobudur they make a killer sandwich as alternative to the breakfast. The rooms are a bit small but serve its purpose as most guests only spend the night to go the temple early in the morning.

Best experience at Rumah Boedi!”
We booked 2 nights at Rumah Boedi to be close to the Burobudor area for exploring. This is a very cosy hotel with only 12 private small villa-like rooms. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating from the front desk, gardeners and restaurant staff. Staff are speak great English. The environment in this hotel are very zen-like, natural green and relaxing. In addition, area is clean and no mosquitoes. The hotel also rents out bicycle that we used to cycle around the countryside paddy fields. Restaurants environment is great and serves amazing food. We had very yummy gadoeh gadoeh, sate, oregano chicken etc. This hotel exceeded my expectations and I find the staff extremely genuine to provide a wholely great stay. Highly recommended and I will definitely return to this hotel :)

Beautiful secluded residence”
we arrived at the yogjakarta airport mid-afternoon and upon exiting the baggage claim area we were pleasantly surprised to find that rumah boedi's airport pick-up service was waiting to collect us. the drive to the residence takes about an hour and a half. we were received by anas who had us quickly checked-in and shown to our room. once you enter the grounds of the property you feel immediately transported to a different world. a large gazebo with beautifully tiled floor is the first structure guests encounter. the gazebo has very comfortable couches and books where guests can relax. it is also the area where afternoon tea is served between 4pm and 5pm every day. beyond the gazebo are the guest rooms, each sequestered behind a private wall and carved wooden doors. the rooms themselves are small, fitting mostly a queen size bed with side tables, an lcd tv is mounted on the wall. an interesting feature to the rooms is that they let out to a small garden area - not of any particular use but an attractive feature. there is an ensuite to the room consisting of toilet, sink and shower (with hot and cold water). the property itself has well maintained gardens, a restaurant with a limited but tasty menu, and a beautiful lookout point from which guests can see the two main rivers converge into one. one of the highlights of our stay was anas, apart from providing a useful history lesson of the area he organised for us to do some sight-seeing of local temples in a horse drawn carriage. it was a different but really enjoyable way to see the area. if you're looking for a clean, comfortable and quiet place to get away from it all then rumah boedi is the perfect place to stay.

absolutely enjoyable”
I had only one day's time between work and having to get back home, so i arrived at the airport in Jogjakarta and took a taxi to see Parambanan temple and a performance of the Ramayana ballet. I arrived late at Rumah Boedi. The staff was very nice and helpful, letting me transfer pics to a memory stick to have space on my camera. At 4.30 am they took me by scooter to the temple grounds for me to see the sunrise there. Breakfast later on was abundant and tasty, (fried noodles, but there is a choice of Indonesian and western dishes). Beautiful surrounding, small, but clean room with charming decoration. I got a special deal on the rate and would absolutely recommend the place! The way back to the airport i traveled by local bus, based on helpful and accurate information from the staff. They took me to the bus stop, again by scooter, lovely! (local bus a great experience, (much cheaper than taxi of course), since is goes through villages and towns on the way. Indonesians are very helpful and kind, no trouble getting to where i needed to go, since there are persons on the bus who help you get in and out and make sure you get to where you want to go.)

natural unique hotel”
The hotel has arranged a car to pick me up at airport, from airport to the hotel we takes 1 ½ hours, the hotel located at the Borobudur, quite near to the Borobudur Temple it’s about 15min distance I take Dukduk to temple. I would recommended fried noodle and Indonesia snacks, it is very delicious! The staffs are very friendly to room quests, good environment and quietly. I will visit again to Borobudur and stay in Rumah Boedi Private Residence!

A Dream-like Vacation”
our stay at rumah boedi was simply amazing. the friendly staff went out of their way to meet each and every whim we came up with. the location is close enough to candi borobudur to make it to the sunrise tour, yet far enough from the city center to shield us from the crowd. the room was a bit on the small side, but the owner kindly let us know that they are expanding every room in the near future, in addition to a jacuzzi being installed. the atmosphere is so zen so comfortable, and so welcoming that i felt too lazy to leave the place at all. it's a bit small for a family vacation, but if you're traveling solo or as a couple, i'd highly, highly recommend it!

My stay in Rumah Boedi was very good. 24 hours security, good internet speed and most of all, very friendly and helpful staffs. The hotel is decorated with many beautiful plants and potteries. Superb Experience at Rumah Boedi!”
we stayed in rumah boedi for two weeks because of work we had at borobudur. our experience there was phenomenal! the place is very very beautiful and very quiet. some of the rooms are small but they do have larger rooms, or the beautiful limasan villa, which is large enough for a family. we were upgraded to the villa mid-way through our stay which helped us a lot because we had a lot of luggage with us. the standard of service there is the highest selling point for the hotel. even when facing with a language barrier, the staff were extremely helpful and would go out of our way to help us every morning. we would wake up before breakfast but they would still offer to make us breakfast, hot drinks and juice. they would help us print out our itinerary every day and have even offered to drop us off at the temple at no charge. the central gazebo is a key feature of the hotel where one can simply sit and relax over complimentary tea, coffee and local snacks, while lounging and reading a book. there are some bug problems around the area. largely some mosquitoes, lizards and little roaches that leave their trail all around. we even had a frog in our bathroom once. but i attribute this to the fact that the hotel is located quite in deep and into a rather forested area. i personally have no issues with a little bit of nature but for those who do, just bring some extra repellent. also some of the cupboards and drawers do not lock well. again you can merely inform the hotel and they can see to help address any problems.
