One of the best hostel I've ever stayed in Europe”
I've stayed in this hostel for 2 nights, This hostel is near from public transportation like Bus Stop and Train Station and it was very easy to find this hostel. The most important thing is the hostel has an open kitchen for backpackers and I really like with the Cafe in this hostel, because it was very cozy If I will back to Barcelona, I wish I will stay in this hostel again..

Can't beat the value for money”
First thing's first, the location and price are very, very hard to beat. It's a perfect spot in the city centre without costing an arm or leg. The front desk staff we encountered were helpful and polite. The kitchen staff a little less so but they did their jobs. Breakfast was included but wasn't always well stocked, even if you came early. Room was clean and sufficient. Rooftop patio has a beautiful view of the street. Overall, you really can't beat the price and I'm very happy we stayed here.

Well-done hostel ”
Many chillout zones to read, eat, communicate with the others. Even kitchen exist, I was not ready for such good option in a hostel in the center. Manager Sam helped to upgrade my stay on good conditions. All my 5 nights was comfortable, thanks a lot.

Roof Top is not working for the third time in a year”
The location is great and the price is ok (cheaper to book on their website). The rooftop that is an attraction on that place is not working for more than a year. They said is 'temporally in maintenance' but this is the third time I stay here and they use the same excuse.

Reception Staff try to be nice and hostile however their miscommunications between them is just a mess. They have no control what so ever over beds assigned that you might end up without a bed at 1am after a day traveling. Very cheap for the location so couldn't expect any better

When I arrived I put my backpack in the storage room, when I came back to do check in my backpack was not there, I told with the recepcion about my problem but she didn't care about my situacion, but the other recepcionist told me my backpack could be in another place, where finally I found my backpack. Much better find another hostel, this is not very good.

The location is excellent, the family room we had was just fine, nothing superb, but in view of price and location, this was a correct offer. The welcome desk staff was not very friendly, and information was provided in a piecemeal way with little concern for the client's needs. However, this was largely compensated by the staff taking care of the breakfast, who worked their head off to help us out with our questions .... Thanks for this !

Nice place to stay located in the heart of Barcelona. From there you can go absolutely to anywhere on foot. The hostel was quite clean when I went, there are kitchen where you can cook, they sell breakfast too, however, it’s too expensive. The comum area is nice to meet people, eat and drink something. In overall I’d stay there again.

Best location, great roof terrace ”
The location can not be better. The premiere street (check the brands around), metro and rail (to airport & Sitges) around the corner, 3 minutes from Catalunya and Ramblas. Wonderful roof terrace - you can see the roof of Casa Batlló from here. And half of the city. Very reasonable prices.

Hostel in Barcelona”
The hostel was spotlessly clean, apartment for 4 people very spacious, situated in central location. Price very good. Staff friendly. Only one downside was no glasses etc.. in the apartment. Otherwise 10 out of ten.

Everything is perfect except for a small check-in drama. I've booked all female room one bed, very clean, bright, not crowded, and out of window is very good view of the street. Transportation and restaurant everything is convenient. Wonderful !!:))

Worst hostel in Spain”
I have been travelling all over Spain in cities like Madrid, Seville, Valencia but haven't seen or stayed in a worst hostel like Safestay in Barcelona. They don't have basic facilities. Facilities like a good kitchen with good amount of utensils to prepare food. The kitchen is closed at 10 pm as they start selling Paella. They will force you to buy even if you don't want it. They charge you money for keeping bags in the luggage room if you reach before the check-in time or you want to keep your bags after check out for few hours. This is horrible. They only want to empty your pockets. Never seen any hostel asking for money to keep luggage for few hours in the locker room. Breakfast is costly and that cost doesn't include good food. If you just want to sleep then go else never.

Great location but noisy ”
The location of the hostel is great, right located near Casa Batlo convenient for travelling around using metro. Staff are nice but not attentive to customers, the girl at reception help her colleague to handle other customers issue while I was checking in which turn out I need 15 mins to check in. The bed is not comfortable and the door of my floor produce a loud noise when someone open it since the door is metallic and it closes so hard, it is really noisy and annoying to hear the sound throughout the night. Breakfast is simple. Great location and a low price it is good for a short stay.
