"This hotel is grorgeous. More than what we expected. Beautiful modern and clean rooms and bathrooms. Wonderful canal views. Delicious and ample breakfast included. The location is just right. Just the right distance from San Marco square and the Rialto bridge. This is a big one, I slept like a baby! Sound proof rooms! I am a light sleeper, and slept the best in this hotel than any hotel we have ever stayed at, ever. So much more than we could have imagined! "

"My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is fantastic as it is between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a little small, but comfortable enough and the hotel breakfast was very good. There is also a very good and somewhat famous restaurant in the hotel at the street level as well and is also recommended. We would stay at this hotel again."

"We liked the location in the heart of San Marco district. It is ideal to see all the important sites and a good idea if you are there for only several days. The location was close to the sites but quiet which was a big plus! The continental breakfast was one of the best/most generous that I have ever had. The bed was very comfortable and the room nicely decorated."

"My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the junior suite on our honeymoon. The room was a great size and we had a great view of the grand canal. The service here was great and we were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. Great fruit salad and more choice than just sweets which is typically what we got everywhere else in Italy. The location is very central to everything including the ferry from San Marco airport and all the best shopping. Would stay here again definitely. "

"Booked this hotel under the Monaco and Grand Canal Hotel link but was assigned the Palazzo Selvadego annex room. As I was a solo traveller and didn't need to stay right on the canal, this was fine. But if you want to stay at the MAIN Monaco and Grand Canal Hotel make sure you verify before payment with Agoda. Regardless, the room at the Palazzo, while a bit dark, was still perfect for a single traveller. Decent sized room and large clearn bathroom and stand up shower. I was in Venice to take photos and you literally walk out the door, turn left, and within 20 seconds you're standing in the entrance to San Marcos Basilica/Square. It's a great location. The main hotel is on the canal. You can eat breakfast at the main hotel, and/or lunch at the bar and enjoy the gondalas loading and unloading. It's right in front of the San Marcos water taxi station so even with bags it's not a problem from the Venice train station. (San Marcos is one of the last stops on waterbus Line 1 so prepare for a scenic boatride down the canal). Overall a great hotel and location. The new Angeline Jolie movie, The Tourist, shows this hotel several times during panoramic shots - if it's good enough for Hollywood it's good enough for me!"

"we arrived at the san marco pier and found the bridge indicated on our map blocked for repair and attempted to phone for alternate directions. the person answering didn't speak english but after heading off a friendly fellow tourist who knew a bit about venice pointed us in the right direction. when we arrived at the san moise', we were directed to the 4 star ca alise. the staff was great especially the bellman who rolled our bags as he led us to the ca alise. the staff was great, the breakfast good, but the bed was worn a bit more than i would expect in a 4 star hotel. "We are a couple and we were lucky to visit Venice for 2nights/3 days out of the tourist season. This hotel (located at the main Island of Venice) was hard to find, but once arrived we were well received by our hostess, a very kind young lady. She was very informative to us and she did well in checking us in and out. We could even store our bags after checkout. The room we had is very Romantic decorated and the bathroom was clean. However, the room we had was a bit too small in my opinion. not sure if all rooms are from this size, but we were lucky that we were both light packed. There would definitely have been NO SPACE for 2 big suitcases. Not sure if the drainage in Venice Hotels are horrible in general but we did had some challenges during our showers. We had to keep the water flow low to avoid flooding. This place was a good choice for the price we paid. I had no regret booking this place"
