First time in Sapporo”
It was our first time in Sapporo for the snow festival. Sapporo Prince is very close to Odori Park where you can see all the pretty snow sculptures. The staff of the hotel was very accomodating and helpful. The breakfast was good and you enjoy it with a beautiful view of the city. Katsura Steak House on 28th floor also offered a great experience.

Great for a Family Vacation”
This was a great find for a family vacation. An easy walk to Odori Park, and easy walk to Suskino, so restaurants and times out with the fam are easy to find. From Sapporo Station all cabbies know where this place is so it is a landmark.

Pros - hotel had a Onsen and room was clean. Staff was very attentive. Cons - I didn't like the fact it was a separate 500Y charge per day, for a 4 Star hotel. hotel shuttle bus should run every 30 min. to and from train station. I took a taxi to hotel.

Friendly attentive staff. Comfortable room size. About 12 minutes walk to Susukino and a 15 minutes shuttle ride to Sapporo station makes moving about to other parts of Hokkaido easy. Buffet breakfast was standard fare and not very exciting. Still, good value for money.

other pros: buffet was delicious ski resort is close. can do hot spring indoors/outdoors (clean but not fancy) cons: unacceptable experiences: -staff didn't know name and existence of the ski schools operating at their ski resort. -staff didn't know hotel free shuttle bus schedule and we almost had to pay for a taxi even when there was a free shuttle bus available for our desired destination -staff at ski rental place was unkind and made me fill in the registration form and line up again (which could be filled in in 30 seconds and which I think she should have asked me to fill in right at the desk instead of making me line up again). The line was not long when I first waited but was extremely longer when I came back. -staff at lift ticket desk was unkind, did not respond well to customer complaints. Note that the lift tickets here are non refundable and non changeable even when you don't use it at all. overall, unkind to foreigners and poor in English, but still recommend.

Beautiful Hotel!”
Sapporo Prince is a beautiful hotel. It has its own hot spring spa (which is a famous recreational activity in the Sapporo area). The views from any room are magnificent. Because it is a circular shaped building, you are guaranteed a great view no matter where your room will be facing since the city of Sapporo is spectacularly backdropped by snow capped mountains! the staff are very helpful from check-in, to tour reservation help and guidance, all the way to check-out. Free wifi and UCC coffee are nice add on touches for the guest. The only knock is its a bit far from the Tanuki Koji shopping arcade and Susukino where most of life happens in Sapporo. But considering Sapporo is a small city which you can basically walk around easily, this is a minor concern.
