Strikes the right balance of facilities, comfort and value for money”
I've been a "boomerang" from Australia at this hotel while attending the Winter School at Humboldt University. This is the fourth time I have stayed here. I got a good deal on the best room from Agoda when no-one was travelling due to the Pandemic. The hotel is well-positioned being close to Stadtmitte U-Bahn stantion and all the connections from there. It is a 10 minute walk down LeipzigStr to Potsdam Platz and the Mall of Berlin with its eateries. All in all, this is a great choice for budget conscious travellers who don't want to compromise too much on quality.

We arrived early to the hotel as our flight arrived in the morning but was allowed early check-in as the room was ready. This may not be the norm but was happy regardless. Room is small but the layout was well thought out to make use of the compact size. Shower area is pretty narrow. This hotel has a very good location as it is near to the touristy areas such as Checkpoint Charlie and Gendarmenmarkt. There is a Rewe grocery store next door which is very convenient and the U-bahn metro is just nearby. There is also Rausch Schokoladenhaus chocolate shop nearby. Overall, a good hotel at a great location on a budget.

I stayed for three weeks in January. I was very happy with the experience. Excellentvalue for money. Rooms well set up, but quite small. That was OK though. There was a fridge for keeping food in. The TV allowed you to plug in (via USB) a hard disk with your own movies. There's a REWE supermarket a minutes walk away, great for picking up a few essentials. Statmitte UBahn close by with u2 and U6 lines. Its a ten minute walk from the Mall of Berlin and Potsdamerplatz.

The location of the hotel is great. It is near U-bahn and you can easily go to famous tourist attractions. The staff are nice and freindy. They always gave us welcoming smile. In general excellent price-performance-ratio.

Great location in central Berlin”
An ideal base for exploring Berlin - two minutes walk from the intersection of Friedrichstraße and Leipzigerstraße, with a close U-Bahn station on U2 and U6 lines. My room was a regular single room, with all that I needed: large double bed, shower, sink, loo, desk, wardrobe.

The hotel is very close to U Bahn ,and many cafe and restaurants around the hotel . If you want to go supermarket, there’s Rewe super close to it . But the water temperature of shower is not stable. I had a good experience of stay here for 2 nights.

Service could improve, room is not clear”
Description on Agoda is not align with hotel. Receptionist given us the room 416 with 17.2m3 without bathtub while we have booked a comfort double room (at least 18-20m3) with a bathtub. We complaint to the receptionist, they said “416 is the comfort one shown in their system even it is small, the room size shown in the agent there could be vary, only few meters is acceptable. Yet, all their room are full.” We insisted as we paid extra for bigger room with bathtub. And I asked the receptionist opened agoda website shown at least 18-20m3 with bathtub. Finally, they changed our room to 441 which finally satisfied us. The clearness of both their room can be improved. Not counting the dust on the pillow and yellow stains in the bed cover. Also the carpet for this 2 rooms are dirty and burned with few holes. Lastly, good to know is late check out could be arranged with €20 charges.

Couple traveling to Berlin. We arrived one day later as our travel plans were delayed. Our room was given away any email contact. We were offered a smaller room after a long debate with management. Very unprofeessional management. Rooms are nice but this hotel has management issues.

When I booked this hotel a few months before my 3 night stay in December 2016, I found the best deal to be on Agoda. The reviews on TA looked to be fairly good so I was expecting a stress-free stay and that's what I got. I had booked a Exclusive Double Room and had requested a room on a high floor as the hotel is near a busy road - this request was honoured and the room was silent! Upon arrival the staff were quick checking me and my partner in, and they spoke very good English, informing us of the nearest supermarket to go to etc. The room was immaculate and huge. The ensuite even had a bath. Everyday the room would get made up promptly to a high standard. In terms of location the hotel is located fairly well to get to all the tourist points of interest. Checkpoint Charlie is a few minutes walk as is the nearest U-Bahn. If you are arriving from Berlin Schönefeld Airport, Simply get the RE14 to Berlin Friedrichstraße station (€3.30 single ticket) and the hotel is around a 15 minute walk through the trendy Gendarmenmarkt district. There are plenty of restraunts nearby, and if you want to go further away to eat, the subway system in Berlin is really cost-effective and simple to navigate. When we checked-out at the end of our stay, the lobby were more than happy to keep our bags behind the bar for the day whilst we were out exploring. Just be aware that the basic rooms are incredibly small, some of the photos on the website don't quite show this. I peered through a "Queen Room" door as the housekeeping team were in there, and it was tiny.
