The staff at Diamond Shiga were wonderful, and the manager spoke excellent English. We stayed four nights in a Japanese style room, but didn't sleep well due to firm mats and solid pillows. Next time we'll choose a hybrid room instead, with western beds. Be aware that the hotel doesn't take credit cards so come with plenty of cash. The brewery/ restaurant next door w...
