The hotel itself is more spacious than other 3 star hotels in Japan and location is perfect! It's 5 mins. walk to the Midotsuji subway station and Shin-Osaka JR Station, which means you can go to anywhere you want to go. Shin-Osaka is also where the Shinkansen stop is and there's airport bus transfer from Shin-Osaka to Itami airport, so the hotel is perfectly located for anyone, especially with heavy/many luggages. 7-Eleven and Nakau (Japanese fastfood restaurant) is just a minute away from the hotel also and Shin-Osaka has restaurants, so food's not a problem. The plus point for this hotel than any other hotels I've stayed in Japan is it provides a free android mobile in your room, which you can bring out and used for Google map and browsing the internet. The data on the mobile will clear out on the day of your check out. And it has discount vouchers which you can use for some tourist locations in Osaka. Overall great experience staying in this hotel!

The best thing about this hotel is that is very close to Shin-Osaka Station. Please note that Shin-Osaka is NOT the center of downtown Osaka, so you will have to use the trains to access Dotobori and other popular shopping areas which was easy to navigate in English. Before coming to Japan, I was expecting my room to be really small but it was surprising not that small. It was a good-enough size for a solo traveler. The room was clean enough, but not sparkling clean. The hotel was more of a 3-star hotel to me. I liked that the hotel provides pajamas, slippers, and toothbrush and toothpaste, which seems common in Japan. I did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel because Shin-Osaka Station had plenty of restaurants for food. Check-in and check-out was easy, the staff spoke English well enough. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel for a few hours after I checked out to explore the city before departing for my next city.

A very good hotel to stay when travelers need to go to other cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima etc. as it is just next to Shin Osaka station, though it is out of the main Osaka Subway Loop. It is a very busy station but you can find everything here from convenient food to spare socks to buy when it is blazing summer day. The room is great, colorful, very current and contemporary feeling with great bed. There are plenty supplies of bathroom shampoos etc. There is no lingering smell of second hand smokes. The room also comes with a 'handy' mobile so that you can call locally and browse hotel services. It is next to main railway station and by the freeway, therefore light sleepers can hear the rambling of morning trains and traffics. The front office lady who checked me in was really helpful and efficient making it a fast check in. I recommend this special hotel anytime.

We ended our self-drive in Shin Osaka station and Remm Shin-Osaka hotel is located at the Shin-Osaka station. One point for drivers to note, the hotel entrance is located on Level 12 so it is not accessible at road level. Location-wise, the hotel is seamlessly connected to Shin-Osaka station linking subway, JR and Shinkansen. We are overwhelmed by the range of eateries at the station, so breakfast is not an issue. The hotel staff is also very helpful. I like to nominate Miss Yamaguchi for her tireless efforts in assisting me. Well done!

I stayed three nights. My single room was small but comfortable enough, and good value. Quite modern and nice and clean. It didn't have a view which was a shame, although an opening window was nice even if it was only on to a light well/breeze way. It's actually quite easy to reach from Shin Osaka once you figure out the station and the surrounding walkways and overbridges, but that took me a couple of days! It was convenient for the train for sightseeing around Osaka and Nara, as well as my onward travel by shinkansen. I had a good meal at the restaurant on the ground floor. One thing to bear in mind is that there is also a VIA INN Shin-Osaka on the other side of the station, Google maps helpfully took me there without me realising my mistake.

Like most Japanese Hotel rooms, everything is very compact but fit for purpose! The location is excellent, only a 5-10 minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station. It did take a GPS search on our phones initially to find it but its more because of the surroundings of the station that is confusing (car parks, highways, under bridge tunnels etc.) but once you locate it, its easy to get to. There are 2 convenience stores on the way to the hotel and the station itself is packed with restaurants and shops as it is a major station. It is also a Shinkansen Station and only a stop away from Osaka Station itself. There is also a high speed train that runs through Shin-Osaka station to Kansai Airport which is very convenient and also included in your JR pass! The hotel facilities are new and clean, their breakfast is catered by an adjoining restaurant where there is a very good buffet selection of both western and asian cuisine. The room is compact but sufficient, the bathroom is on the small side, water pressure is good and provided amenities are of good quality. One thing I was a little disappointed with was that for people who had early travel plans, there is no alternative breakfast option, you simply miss the breakfast you paid for because the restaurant is not open when you leave in the morning.

1. It would be great to have 1 English language TV station (Like CNN) 2. It would be helpful to be able to shut off the automatic hallway ceiling light at night. Any movement in the hall turns on the light. Hotel is close to subway and JR rail line. An easy 10 minute walk to Shin-Osaka station. Several restaurants nearby as-well-as grocery stores. What we liked about this hotel is its location. In a quite neighborhood just far enough away for the noise of the area. Staff was always very pleasant and accommodating. We would recommend the Hotel Quartz Shin-Osaka to anyone wanting a great place to stay in Osaka.

We stayed here and used it as a base to explore Osaka, Kyoto, Himeji and Kobe. The location is fantastic and within 2-3 minutes of two train stations, which connects to the Shinkansen station in Shin-Osaka at the next stop for high speed travel to nearby cities as well as easy access to downtown Namba districts for shopping and food in Dotonburi within 20 minutes on the subway. Hotel may be a tad old, but it is well maintained and facilities are clean and neat.

This APA hotel located nearby Shin Osaka station, if you planned to catch shinkansen for day trip it is perfect place to stay. The room size was alright, maybe for most of western people it's unacceptable. Cleanliness and amenities are good. T here are convenience store nearby as well. Staff was friendly and helpful even their English was okay. They can help us to send the luggage to next Hotel we stay.

conveniently located next to shin osaka station, with the subway line only 2 mins walk away. great for travelling via shinkansen (about 5 mins walk), JR or subway lines via exit 6 or 7. hotel room was clean and comfortable with the necessary amenities. hotel staff was friendly and able to address all my questions. there is also a family mart next to the hotel. would definitely recommend especially if you are looking at staying near the shin osaka station.

It was within 5 minutes walk from the Shin-Osaka training station and so we used stayed in this Hotel and make day trips to Nara and Himeji. It is also very convenient to make day trip to Kyoto from here since the hotels in Kyoto are pretty steep in prices. If you have purchased a JR Kansai Pass (JPY5000), use it for your day trip to Kyoto via the Haruka express train. To go Nara, also use the Haruka express train to Tenojin station to change train to Nara (which is much faster than taking a normal train from Shin-Osaka to Tenojin). You can also take the Kobe line direct from Shin-Osaka station to make day trips to Kobe (to sample Kobe beef) or Himeji castle. Too bad the main castle is under restoration now.

First, the hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance from the Shin-Osaka station - the biggest transportation hub in the Kansai area - which means you can get anywhere you want quickly. It does mean though that you will hear train noise (As for me I sleep like a log so I didn't mind but maybe it'll be a problem for others). The lobby looks incredibly luxurious and has two or three (don't remember) restaurants inside. The rooms however are standard 3-star grade. This is still more than enough if you use the hotel mainly for bed and shower. The price was great, though it was a last minute booking so I don't know what the usual prices are. Staff are friendly and they try to have at least one decent English-speaking employee at the front desk at all times. One annoying thing is that removing the key from the slot near the door shuts-down all electricity, so can't charge the laptop while away. Overall it's a great hotel when traveling in Osaka. Check them out if you're around.

It was nice. Everything appeared to be almost new. We tried the breakfast (for an additional fee since we didn't avail through agoda). It was nice, not much choices compared to other hotels. But they also served ice cream and a variety of drinks. But we really liked the location as it was very walkable from Shin Osaka Station, which will connect you easily to the airport, kobe, kyoto, and tokyo directly. The area also connects you to main shopping areas in Osaka through Midosuji line and easy transfer to the osaka loop… Highly recommend this if you have the above requirements for your travel in Osaka… PS. The bathroom area is very very small, as with other "budget" hotels in Japan. If you need a bigger bathroom maybe a 5 star hotel will provide it.

All information is very clear from the host, great suronding area, there's 24h combini(convenience store) across the street so you dont need to worry find anything anytime. Nice + neat room and they provide towel+amenities. i went to USJ in the morning and stay at this hotel. loctaion is walking distance(10mins) to Shin osaka station (if you want to ride shinkansen to tokyo/nagoya or osaka city train)

The room size was small, but this is standard for Japanese hotels. It was very clean with fast LAN internet connection. The hotel was just a 5 minute walk from Shin-Osaka, and very easy to find. I chose to stay here because I was connecting to Kyoto and Kobe, and needed to catch the train from Shin Osaka. Easy access to public transportation was also a factor in my choice, as subway lines and train lines all pass through Shin Osaka.

I have so many great things to say about this hotel. First off the staff was so very nice to us, I had many questions and requests upon my arrival and they obliged me. They were super easy going and sweet and even did me a big favor. The room was very small, however it was extremely clean and modern. They did their best to make me and my friends comfortable. I will be returning to this hotel in the future as a solo traveller. The location is close to the Shin-Osaka station which was extremely convenient, and there were many great shops nearby the hotel. There was even a convenience store directly outside. Definitely an amazing place.

This is a small hotel located right beside the Shin-Osaka Station. The neighborhood is very quiet owing to it being some kilometers away from the shopping district of Umeda. But being located next to train station makes getting around easy. Our group is travelling to Tokyo via Shinkansen after our stay in Osaka so this makes the location of the hotel superb. We don't have to crowd in the city trains with our baggage during rush hour. And we can leave our hotel at a later time since we are just a few steps away. Locating this hotel might be difficult at first but the trick here is to take the east exit and turn right on every street surrounding the station. The room we stayed in is really tiny. With just room for a decent-sized bed and not much else. For guests with many baggage or with big baggage, you really need to take turns opening your suitcase as some people have suggested. However, the rooms are clean and they provide near complete amenities (i.e toothbrush, razor, etc.) They have a breakfast buffet at 500 yen per person. For that price I believe the selection of food they offer is more than decent. The staff there spoke little English but there seems to be always one staff available that could handle most basic enquiries in English.They also have a couple of computers in the lobby for people to surf (for free) and they also have free wifi in their lobby. If I would return to Osaka, I would still stay in this hotel. The tiny rooms are just a little compromise in my opinion.

was in osaka for 3 days and decided to lodge at this hotel for convenient sake bacause it is loacated in shin osaka (for shinkansen line). hotel a little far from jr shin osaka but very near a non-jr station (forgot about the name(, about 15 minutes walk. room is small (standard in japan) but is clean and really nice. internet service is available for free!!! no breakfast provided though.

I stayed here for four nights in a double room with my father. Previous comments have all stated that the rooms were small, but I didn't find that to be a problem at all. Honestly, it's a Japanese hotel room. I would agree that the hotel was a bit difficult to find at first, but the train station attendant at the Shin-Osaka train station had a map and the hotel was easily marked on her map. The hotel itself is indeed closer to the Minamigata subway station, but the Minamigata station also has a local JR line that goes up to Kyoto (takes about an hour, and it's only 320 yen vs. 540 yen from Shin-Osaka on the rapid JR trains). It is about a 15-20 min walk from the Shin-Osaka station. The street you walk on has plenty of local eateries and convenience stores and since you are in Japan, it's really not dangerous whatsoever. Others that stayed at the hotel hated the pillow, but we found that if you flipped the pillow on the other non-beaded side, they were perfectly fine and acceptable. I slept comfortably every night because we spent so much time sightseeing and walking around both Osaka and Kyoto. It was definitely a good convenient "home base" for us and our sightseeing. I have now stayed at 3 Japanese hotels and this was just as nice if not nicer than all the others. The ONLY negative I can think of about this hotel is the train tracks. If you can, try to get a room on the side without the train unless you can tolerate it. The train woke us up every morning because you can hear at least 1 or 2 track crossings from the hotel room.

Within 5 minutes walk from Higashimikuni subway station which is 1 station away from JR Shin-Osaka station. There is a food shop right beside the hotel and convenience store by the stairs of the subway station exit nearest to the hotel. Small but well furnished room with refrigerator, hair dryer, and iron for clothes. Had a good stay for 1 night. Not bad for the rate. At least 1 hotel staff can speak basic English so checking in/out was manageable.

Near to the station, convenient store, supermarket and few restaurants (non halal). A very quiet place and I thought I was in the Zombiland until we are afraid to cough in the house. House owner already warned us not to make noise and talk to the neighbour 😂 Map given quit complicated, but I managed to find an easy way to the station. But I am still gonna stay here again if visit Osaka again. Thanks for house owner for always available when we need🤗

Wonderful stay. We booked for 2nights and we end up staying for 6nights. Very friendly host who will assist you in your travel questions. Its a brand newly open traditional japanese house. If you dont mind staying like a local, this is the best place in osaka for u. 10min walk to minamigata subway dat will bring u direct to namba(10min) or osaka central(2min). All basic neccessaties provided! (Towels, face towel, toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo, shaver, coffee, tea n lastly NATO(ask e owner to show u what it is!)) DIRECTIONS TO HOSTEL: Take the subway to Nishinakajima-Minamigata and exit tru EXIT 2 Turn right n cross the road n u will see Lawson Convenience store. Keep walking straight passing the Lawson and Family Mart and CAFE. Once u see a Supermarket, turn right into the small road. Keep walking straight n u will see the signage for OSAKA BACKPACKERS HOSTEL. Walk around the house and enter tru the main front door. ENJOY YOUR STAY!
