The best Hostel ever”

Shiori an was the best Hostel we had so far. It is clean, staff is very friendly and helpful, enough shared showers and toilets, kitchen and coin based laundry! Such a lovely place and nice atmosphere! we definetly would book it again!!!

Great place ”

Slept for 6 nights in the dorm. Very clean, good WiFi, helpful staff. The location is perfect. 10 min walk to Kyoto station, 15 if you have heavy backpack :) good value for money. Also washing machine available for 200 yen. Highly recommended!

Very clean space, easy access to train station, friendly staff, not to mention it's uncommon to see a guesthouse that provides private bathtubs in the share bathroom space (and it's clean!). I enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

This was a very clean hostel, and the staff was so friendly! It's easy enough to get to, either 15 minutes walking or a short transfer away from Kyoto Station. The neighborhood is pretty quiet.

Great staff and facilities, but rooms can get really hot during summer nights.”

We really enjoyed our stay and happy about the service. We had the Japanese Style Room that looks great but unfortunately, we had difficulty sleeping and we were sweating at night, we asked if there was a way to control the air-conditioner but they said they can't do much about it as it's already centralized. It was really hot and not comfortable so I could imagine how hot it is for those in the dormitory type of rooms. Nonetheless, it was still worth the money. Just not as comfortable as I hoped for.

Good location, it is very near to Gojo station, there are many convenient stores and restaurants around the hostel. The staffs is very helpful, they can speak English also. The hostel is very clean. There is no comb in the bathroom, you have to pay to use the towel.

Nice hostel”

Great location, subway and buses are very close, walkable. Wi-Fi, clean sheets, good mattress, but you have to make your own bed. This can be improved. The girl at the reception is rude and insulting, unlike the Japanese culture. The guy there esp. During the day is simply amazing. They allow you to store luggage as well which is super convenient. Nice kitchen and common area.

Rather good”

What I really love about Shiori-Ann is her kitchen with full of equipment. The guests are also fun to talk with and I have an excellent Melbourne mate who is also a vegan like me. What I don't like about is the sound-proofing. Some guests are really heavy-footed but it's none of what the hostel could do. Maybe you should put a sign "light-footed, please" somewhere? And I don't know why I got bed bugs bites all of my body after 6 nights there huhu.
