Silken Ramblas Hôtel was a good choice for my first trip to Barcelona. I stayed 5 nights prior to boarding a cruise from the port. I did feel it was a little overpriced considering breakfast was not included in my Tarif however Barcelona does tend to be expensive all round. It’s positioned right on a side street to the hub of Las Ramblas stretch. 5 minute walk to Plaza Catalonya. The hotel was very clean and staff were efficient. I didn’t eat at their restaurants but there are many many choices of exterior cafes and restaurants nearby. There is a very clean laundromat 3 minutes walk from the hotel also. A taxi to the cruise terminal will cost approximately €13. Great choice for 4 star hotel close to the hub of Las Ramblas.

Silken Ramblas in great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the rooftop patio and pool. We found the room to be very dark and with dated decor; really needs some renovation as cost of room quite high. Room was good size and bed comfortable. Housekeeping staff did a good job cleaning room and other areas.

Brilliant central hotel”
Great hotel right in the centre, only about 100 metres off Las Ramblas and close to a metro station. The room was clean, unfortunately twin beds rather than the double that was booked though. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The only real fault I could find is that the pool on the roof is tiny. Great hotel for the price that we paid. The area is a lot safer than I thought it would be, just keep your wits about you and you’ll be fine.

this is our second time at this hotel. The location of the hotel is fantastic .”
The location of this hotel is excellant as it is very central and only a minutes walk from la ramblas and the placa de catalunya. As for the hotel itself the staff are very helpful. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast has a large choice howev er a few things let it down. The hot water in the tea machine is not very warm. The bacon was always under cooked. The scrambled eggs were also not of good quality. They do however provide gluten free bread and cookies which was great for me as I am on a gluten free diet. Over all the breakfast was a bit of a let down. More gluten free choices such as cereal would have been nice. Also while we were there some building work was going and this usually began shortly after 8am which I think was totally unacceptable if you wanted to have a lie in. The hotel itself is in good condition. It also has three lifts so you never have to wait long for one.

Great location, great value for money, great staff. A stones throw from the famous Las Ramblas so ideally located to central Barcelona. Great pool top pool but the only downside for us was that there was no bar operating on this level (not that bad in the scheme of things).

Nice and clean hotel with a very friendly staff”
Our stay at the silken Rambla was a very good expeience. The location was perfect. Just about 75 meters walk from the Rambla, but with very little noise from the streets. Also nice with the pool upon the roof.

The hotel is very nice. The scent every time we entered the hotel smells good. My wife and I loved it. We did not try the buffet breakfast but it looks delicious. The location is very important especially in Barcelona and this hotel lies perfect near the tourist spots! Realy close to ramblas handy for all types of transport from metro to the sight seeing buses.Plenty of places nearby to eat out . Also shopping very good with all types of shops including all the chain stores as well as small independant shops

Front desk is the 1st image of the hotel. Staff like Amelia must learn to show hospitality rather than uptightness. Bath tub floor is eroded. Tap head is old. The rest of the room has been refurbished. Rooms at the back faced restaurants n are noisy. Rooms n toilets are spacious. Location is good as La Ramblas 50meters away n is near Catalunya metro. Restaurants n Carrefour is at La Ramblas. La Bougeria market is walking distance. Luv the sweets. Had gd stay.

Best location ever, in the heart of Barcelona”
If you are a tourist looking for a hotel that is close to all main attractions of Barcelona, this hotel is perfect. It is a 2 minutes walk from La Rambla, in the heart of the City. It is also a short stroll to the Plaza de Cataluna and the Gotic city. There are many good restaurants and bars around. The hotel itself is pretty average. Doesn't offer much. Our room was clean and had a comfortable bed, however, furniture was a bit old. Room and corredor were all very dark. Breakfast was also average. In my personal opinion, this hotel doesn't meet the criteria of a 4 stars. It didn't meet our expectations. But if all you need is a bathroom to take a shower and a bed to sleep after a long day touring around, this is the right place to stay.

Convenient hotel next to La Ramblas”
I stayed there for one night. It took me about 10 minutes walk from the Columbus Statue from harbour side to get there along la Ramblas. The hotel entrance is not so eye catching and looked like a carpark entrance. The room is OK but the wifi inside the room is not very good.
