Friendly hotel with homely features”
i really enjoyed the singgasana hotel in makassar. professionally run with friendly staff. very comfortable and quiet with amazing views over the city. lovely large pool to do laps, and wonderful massages at the spa.

Nice place to stay”
This is an old hotel with large rooms, excellent facilities and excellent location. Close to Pantai Losari, shopping centers, cafes, and banks. It has a swimming pool, fitness centre, Business Centre, and spa. The meal provided for Breakfast varied according to tastes and origin. Western food, Indonesian dishes, and local meals. The staff are most helpful and always ready to help with a nice smile. We have stayed here a few times and will come back again, whenever we are in Makassar.

Big hotel with a personal touch”
Had to overnight in Makassar and this hotel was very good value and in the centre of town. Lovely big room and nice spacious bathroom. Personal touch with a beverage when I checked in then a small fruit selection brought to my room! I wasn't expecting that so it was very nice. Staff couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast could do with improving though - I was there at 6.30am and first and it was already cold. Really lovely pool but there were some bits of concrete missing that someone could fall in around the outside.

A good hotel with comfortable room, friendly staff, and clean. Strangely to find Taxi is a bit hard. For that price, the offering is good. If you have time see Trans Studio Makassar, theme park similar to Universal Studio.

Faded glory, trying their best”
Makassar is not a place visited by many tourists. The few hotels available attend more to business guests than people who visit the place as a tourist. This is reflected in the place. The hotel was a bit run down and very quiet. When we checked in they gave us a room with two single beds on a smoking floor. As we were only going to stay 2 nights we decided not to make any more fuss and just enjoy the ride. Against all odds we did feel at home definitely appreciate the effort the staff put in to attend to our needs. The location is quite nice as it's just a short stroll from the boulevard leading to pantai Losari.

Decent hotel in city centre”
The main reason we booked the Singgasana was because of the swimming pool, which was unfortunately under maintenance during our stay. I wish this had been mentioned during the booking process, as we would certainly have chosen another hotel if we were aware of it. Pool aside, the hotel was adequate - the 24 hour restaurant served mediocre food, breakfast was a vast disorganised buffet, and the room itself was comfortable with a large bed and decent, though not exactly luxurious, bathroom. Conveniently located in the centre of Makassar.

By mistake I booked wrong date for another hotel for my bizztrip. Luckily when I did another booking on that day, singgasana still had room available. They put me on the 12th fl. With view to karebosi field. Room was looked old but clean. Food was ok

Good hotel”
Was in Makassar for business and was disappointed that the internet in the hotel was not working during the stay. When I checked with the reception they said that they had some problem with the wifi, but on visiting the business center hoping to get some work done I realised that the net was down even at the Center and the remained so for the complete period of my stay at the hotel. The rooms and other facilities we otherwise ok and was value for money.

The hotel is nicely located in the central of Makassar. its quite an old hotel but its because it was one of the first hotel in Makassar. The staffs are really friendly and helpfull. they put me in the smoking room and the room looks sad. the carpet has a very large stain all over the place, the room got an old smell. but overall i cant complain since i didnt spent much time in the room. overall this hotel is quite decent and money friendly if you wanna visit makassar on budget :)

Classy hotel - holding out against creeping shabbi”
We stayed 5 nights and were really treated exceptionally well in this hotel. We are an Australian family travelling with kids and so stood out from the other guests who were mainly Indonesian business people and conference attendees. Everything we requested was dealt with prompty and we would recommend this hotel to anyone. It isn't perfect however. It has a really classy feel, a lovely foyer etc, but is getting quite old and shabby in places, especially around the pool area and in the bathrooms which are clean but just old. The internet is free (Wi-Fi) however it could be extremely difficult picking up a strong connection - I often had to go down to the lobby or sit near our lifts rather than in my room. The breakfasts were really very good, but on two mornings (weekend) we found the choices free of meat suddenly disappeared and we (I dont eat meat and my girlfriend cant eat processed meat due to an allergy to wheat) were not able to eat anything other than omlettes. By this I mean the vegetable stirfry, nasi goreng and mee goreng all suddenly had tiny bits of shredded sausage in it. Something to consider! The location is very good - its across the road from a supermarket and down the road from Losari Beach - very safe area, easy to getcabs, becaks and to walk.

Old 4 Star Building”
This hotel outlook is old for me, it was proved with the room interior. I stayed 1 night at this hotel and it was good enough for me. This hotel location is at the center of Makassar, and you can find another interesting places nearby. I like the breakfast at this hotel, they provided a variation of menu, and I saw also many expatriates or group of expatriate stayed there. The staffs were friendly to me. The Deluxe room is big enough. Over all this hotel is one of recommended 4 star hotel.

We like this hotel with its location in the city center. Food is good and lots of variaty. Room is very big but a little dirty and smell bad of its carpet. Overall is satisfying.

A Pleasant Surprise”
This is my third time here and all three stays have been quite good. Hotel is clean and well appointed. It's a bit of an oasis in the area. Comparable to many western hotels. Dinner menu has plenty of choices, I had fish. It was well prepared, sauted with many different veggies. Breakfast is a huge buffet with more choices than you need. Many are geared to Indonesian travelers, but there are some 'western' choices as well. Room is clean and comfortable, with a flat-screen TV. Mattress was good quality and there is a table and chair. Bathroom was spotless. I would stay here again.

This old hotel retains its attraction. The rooms is large, with excellent facilities. The large queen bed, flat TV screen, safe deposit box, and bathroom with American fittings, are all help top make you stay comfortable. The hotel is located in the CBD and closer to Pantai Losari, Shopping Malls, and banks. It is also surrounded by many eateries and small shops. The staff are most helpful, kind and pleasant; they would go out of their way to help you. The Menus in the Restaurant, Cafes and Room Service provide European, Indonesian, and local dishes.
