Best for solo travel, more than just a budget hotel”
Although you get budget prices, the amenities offered here are anything but budget! Check-in: I arrived at 7 am and the staff was helpful to keep my luggage until check-in at 3pm. Location: Across the street from Namba Subway Station (JR Namba is about 10 mins walk away). Exit 7 is right in front of the hotel but there are several flights of stairs to take up and down. If you have big luggage, I found it easier to use the elevators from the station/mall to the ground level towards Swissotel and then walk across the street. Sotetsu is about a 10-15 minute walk to Dontonburi street and several other arcade malls and upscale shopping. Starbucks Reserve is also nearby. Taking the railway to KIX airport was easy and cost 930Y. There is an airport limousine stop in front of the hotel but it does not go to KIX. Family mart is next door (try the sweet potato ice cream there, it is really delicious). Room: Very clean, and modern. There were several amenities included that I've never experienced at other "budget" hotels: room fragrance spray, heated mirrors, multiple types of clothing hangers, multiple USB chargers, option to handpick toiletries in the lobby, separate shampoos/ conditioners/ body wash (I am used to budget hotels using "3-in-one"), hotel slippers, pajamas, and filtered water from the bathroom sink. The only thing is that the room was very small and opening up my XL luggage meant taking up almost the whole walkway to the bathroom and exit. I think this is expected though, as Japanese design is built on being minimal and efficient. Cleanliness: This is probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in and I've been traveling for the past 6 months. Aside from being clean, the room felt fresh and brand new. The cleaning staff does an amazing job. Since the rooms are small, there is also an option for no entering/cleaning and for the staff just to leave new towels for you. In front of Osaka Metro”
Nice location, right in front of Osaka Metro (Namba station, 御堂筋線5號&7號出口). Lift is at no. 10 exit, not far way from hotel but hidden in a business building. Familymart is just next door. Frontdesk is nice and polite. English speaking is ok. Ladies amenities are provided when checkin. Bedding is so-so. 24-hr Udon shop and Matsuya beef rice shop are nearby (but the Matsuya is not as good as those in Tokyo). In-room is clean. No public bath. A good choice if you always take Osaka Metro, otherwise Namba area has other better choices or cheaper alternatives.

Tiny rooms, but really convenient!”
I really loved this hotel! Although the rooms are realllllly small (I could barely fit my slightly-larger-than-carry-on-size suitcase between the table and the bed), the cleanliness, ease of access to everything, and convenience more than made up for the lack of space! So first of all, there's a Family Mart and a restaurant that works with the hotel right on the first floor, with doors into both of those places straight from within the hotel. I personally really liked having the Family Mart there because Family Marts use Japan Post ATMs now, and I use Japan Post Bank, so that was just super nice. Also, if you get a breakfast-included room package, then you just need to zip into the restaurant every morning and yay, breakfast! It's a pretty full breakfast too (I actually had to take my leftovers to-go a couple times because I couldn't finish it...). The hotel lobby is on the second floor, and the elevators always stop on the lobby floor for security reasons (or... that's what the sticker says in the elevator). Check in and check out are really easy, and the staff are very proactive in making sure the process is smooth. There are also some small amenities you can pick up in the lobby (like tea packets, one-use sunscreen packets, hairbrushes, shaving cream, bath salts, etc) from 3PM to midnight. Again, the actual rooms are small, but it's fine. It's just a place to sleep and shower/bathe anyway. Rooms come with slippers, pajamas, all the bathroom amenities that you might need, clothing freshener, and a water boiler + mugs if you wanna make your own tea/coffee. There's also a pretty sizable TV (I wanna say it's maybe... a 30ish inch screen?), so that's nice. There wasn't much of a view where my room was, but eh, that didn't matter to me. Everything was very clean. Lastly, this hotel is within 5-10 minutes walking of many train stations and bus stops. Great budget hotel with updated amenities. The room and bathroom was very clean and modern. Great air conditioning system that worked fast and great. Walking distance to dotonbori. Location was next to namba station, a family mart and the bus station back to ITM was in front which was super convenient! Loved my stay here would definitely come back!

Right beside Namba (Osaka Metro) station exit 7”
If you want an accommodation that is right outside of a station— this 3-star hotel is the one. Since you know you will be walking a lot in Japan, you might need a hotel that is right smack of a train/subway station. Also, checking-in and out was a breeze because of their check-in/out machines. Buffet breakfast was decent and normal. So far, Sotetsu group hotels are my go-to every time I am in Japan, it’s always a convenient location with them.

It has a very central location, 5-10 mins walk to most major stations and to the city center. Staff spoke great English and was very willing to help. Room was very clean, although still quite small. However there is no freezer in the fridge, as I found out by two melted ice creams the other morning.

Decent facility, good location, friendly staffs”
The space of the room is small yet very clean and well equipped with facilities that are needed by common travellers. Great location which is nearby to surrounding shopping centres and Nankai Namba Stn is just nearby , walking across the road. Good for those who would like to walk with luggage to hop on Rapid train to airport.

As with most Japan rooms, the room was small and it was a struggle for both of us to maneuver around the room with 2 medium/large luggages. Everything else, however, was great. Location was good (3 mins walk to train station, family mart just below the hotel) and friendly front desk. I also like that they provide amenities for you to top up as and when you like at the lobby.

Great Location, Clean and Friendly staffs”
Location is amazing, comparing to price. It made my day. You can reach popular attractions such as Shinsaibashi, Glico within 10 min by walking. Also close to Namba Station for traveling back to Airport or going to other towns. Next to Family Mart on ground floor. Rooms are new and clean with enough facilities. However, Lobby is not much large. It may not convenience for you if you come with family (for me, 6) and arrive/depart the hotel at peak time. Just note as it might be your concern.

One of the best stay in Japan”
Location is great, only 3-5mins to different namba stations(Nankai Namba, JR Namba and Metro Namba). Fantastic to stay here if you going to explore the surrounding cities. Also, there is a 24 hr Aeon Kohyo supermarket nearby, only 6 mins walk. Check-in and check-out were so easy with the kiosks. We chose a deluxe twin room which is 18m2, we are able to open our suitcases without blocking the way to the bathroom. And you can put two semi double beds together to make a super King size bed. It was the best sleep thru out the 11-day trip. Great mattress, pillows and quilt. Shower is nice and hot. WC has seat warming function which is a plus in winter time. Coin laundry, microwave, ice machine, extra personal care (skin care sachets, hair gel, coffee and tea) are located on the lobby floor. What can I ask for more? I wish I could stay longer in this hotel. Highly recommended!

Beyond my expectations ”
For me, almost all perfect. Even the bathroom is also big. The staff was also helpful, when i asked if i can keep my frozen foods in their fridge since, the fridge in the hotel room cant be use for frozen foods/ice cream. Overall, i had a nice stay in Sotetsu Fresa Inn, definitely will comeback there on my next visit to Osaka. おつかれさまです

A stay of 4 nights. Exiting from Namba station to Exit 7 goes direct to the hotel(Directly outside the hotel). Very convenient. The room is typical similar to other hotel which is a little small area for movement.

Best location! Spacious rooms ”
We stayed at a connecting room on the 8/f. We loved the tranquility despite its central location. It is literally right out the exit of major train stations and airport shuttles. There is a family mart right downstairs which adds so much convenience when you need to pick up snacks and drinks for your family. Breakfast is adequate even though local or international selection was not considered wide coverage. Room is very comfortable and size is very decent according to Japanese standard. Bath tub was very nice and the amenities provided were a plus! We had problems getting into train stations and had to make much longer walks as we had a stroller with us so we needed elevators. Nonetheless, hotel rooms also provide humidifiers and heat/cold AC and we are very satisfied with the service of this hotel! Highly recommended!
