My wife and I stayed at Suzakukan Suzaku Crossing for several nights and we had a great time there, the beds were clean and comfortable and the room was spacious (a luxury in japan). We would definitely return!

A pleasant discovery”
Suzakukan was generally a gem of a discovery as it was just opened in July 2017 & was still very new during my stay in early December. Although initially worried about getting there with luggage, the directions from the hotel's website were easy & precise. A thorough briefing was given upon checking-in. Rooms are comfortably spaced even for a 3-persons group like us. Bathroom & kitchen amenities are well equipped which would also be suitable for longer periods of stay. The hotel recommendations on neighborhood restaurants & convenience stores are worth exploring to discover a residential-living experience in Kyoto. A 5 mins walk to/from the Senbon Demizu bus stop allows easy access to the must-see locations in Kyoto.

Adorable place located just north of the JR Nijo station and along the Kyoto bus line. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Room was very clean and comfortable, with a kitchenette complete with everything you’d need to cook in. They even give you rice! We loved the Japanese robes they provided for sleepwear and the little tote they give for you to keep. They have a great display of tourist activities so one could easily plan out a day. You can also rent bikes directly from them. And this hotel also operates by a changing key code system so we were able to come and go freely but felt very secure. While this hotel wasn’t extremely close (within a 10 minute walk) to some of the places we frequented (like the market and pontocho), it was close to the Nijo Castle and very accessible by public transit. It had great nearby dining, grocery, and pharmacy. We loved this place and would definitely book again if in Kyoto!

넓고 정말 조용하고 아늑하고 깨끗햇습니다. 침대 외에도 공간이 넓어요. 특히 사진에 보이는 침대 외에도 좌식 테이블도 있어서 숙소에 돌아온 후 간단한 과자나 음식을 먹기 좋습니다. 장기간 머무는 손님들은 세탁기 및 세제를 무료 사용가능합니다. 위치가 조금 떨어져있지만 바로 앞 버스 정류장을 잘 이용하시면 불편함이 없습니다. 일하시는 분들도 아주 친절합니다. 제가 물건을 잃어버렷을때 찾아서 다음 숙소로 보내주어 걱정없이 여행을 잘 마무리할 수 있엇습니다. It was cozy and clean. Besides the bed, the room is spacious. Particularly, it was good that there was table of table left. It is good to eat simple sweets and food after returning to your accommodation. Guests staying a long time can use the washing machine and detergent free of charge. The location is a bit far away, but there is no discomfort when you take advantage of the bus stop right in front of you. The people who work are very kind. when I lost my stuff, they found it and sent it to my next hotel so I could finish my trip without worry. i hope to stay again if i go to Kyoto again.

Fantastic Location”
While the 2 of us found it a little cramped- 2 single girls travelling together- it would be ideal for a solo or couple traveler. It's a little smaller then what's shown but it has everything you need. Small kitchenette, bathroom, washing machine (the drying facility on it's not the best but it helps). What is the best about this place- THE LOCATION. You can not fault the location. It is in a secure building, on the next corner is a convenience store, across the road is some lolly stores, next door is a fantastic Kobe Steak house, it's literally only 5-10mins along the river to Dotonbori when you turn left on exit. When you turn right it opens up a whole slew of restaurants and shops before you hit the main highway, cross that and you're in an amazing undercover shopping mall!! That stretches from one end and comes out at Dotonbori. So.. Again- LOCATION!!!! If I was going back to Osaka again, I'd stay here again.

Great for exploring the area”
located in a residential area and not near a train station, but no lack of things to do. The hotel has an app that encourages visitors to explore the area and ready information cards of the possible activities around that travelers can visit. Bicycle rental available. 24hr supermarket across the road. Authentic standing sake bar just 20m away. Rooms are spacious with a sitting area and a washing machine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

Wonderful self-catering apartment style rooms, in a great location with a bus connection to most of the main tourist spots a few minutes walk away. Staff were really pleasant, and there is a ton of information about local restaurants, cafés and sight-seeing spots available. For vegetarians there are a couple of nearby restaurants that will cater to you as a bonus. Wonderful place to stay, and will definately be coming again in the future.
