Nice & Cheap Cottage ”

The second time I stayed at Daarul Jannah Cottage. Location within Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid area, near the mosque and so many hawkers around the cottage. Standard room is big enough with fan, but it's too noisy, you can hear people talking & laughing under your room. No good partition. Breakfast is simple but it's ok to start your day. All staffs are friendly & helpful. We got cheaper price if booking by Agoda!

Pesantren Darut Tauhid in Bandung is one of the best place to learn and mind the Islam. The hotel of Darul Jannah is in the complex, where is near to the mosque, Islamic library and pesantren (Islamic school). The location is very religious. The people there are friendly, among the guests always shared the Assalamualalikum (greets). Apart of religious place, it gives a unique feeling rather than just stay in a "hotel"

Great service and good locaiton”

Finding the hotel was quite difficult for us as it is located behind a supermarket. I had a one night stay with my 2 kids who were 6 and 4. We were first surprised that there was no fan and air-conditioner but at night, it was quite cold. So, don't stay in the room during the day. However, Bandung has quite a cool climate, so it was bearable as we opened the door and windows. The place is a two-storey terrace like accommodation made of wood. We could hear older children from upstairs running about. The whole place is not sound proof at all. Luckily it was a short stay for us. During different parts of the day, there will be the call for prayer as the hotel is very nearby a mosque. However, the place overlooks a nice garden with a small playground. Hot drinking water is provided in the evening using a thermos flask. Bottled mineral water is provided in the room. The bathroom could be better maintained but everything is in working order like it has a hot shower facility. We had lunch in the restaurant opposite of the hotel and the food was just average. In the morning, we had breakfast in the room and each person received a box of fried rice with omelette, fried chicken and fruit salad. A plus point for me (at least) of staying here is to be able to listen to the prominent spiritual leader, Kh Aa Gymnastiar, delivering his talk in the morning at the mosque and to meet his wife while shopping the at the supermarket near to the hotel.

Oasis in the bustle of Bandung”

This is a set of 20(?) 2-story cabins in an incredibly tranquil setting amid the noise and hustle of Bandung. Each building contains 4 large cabins (2 up, 2 down), the lower ones with veranda. All show onto a quiet, lush garden cum picnic area between the two rows of huts. This appears to be a Muslim facility connected to a study center, however the religion is not in your face. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast is brought to the room on weekdays and served in a nearby cafe on the weekends. Negative: my ensuite had no sink, no ventilator and the rooms were unsealed which meant that besides providing (a small number of) bugs access, I could hear everything going on in the adjoining room. Folks here apparently rise and go to bed with the sun - not much lying in. Prayer call at 04:00 wasn't too bad, but the tranquility was disturbed by 06:00, with the neighbors getting up, breakfast being delivered, conversations going on outside and then more prayer calls. However I stayed for a week and the noise problem seemed mainly on the weekend, when the hotel was relatively full. Location was probably not much good for a general tourist, as the town was about 40 minutes bus ride thru incredibly difficult traffic. Alternatively there were plenty of convenience stores, laundries, snack bars, bank machines within 10 minutes walk. On the way to the volcano. Wifi was free and a bit spotty, but the staff was helpful with keeping it going. In the end I found it difficult to leave.

Affordable stay at Cottage Darul Jannah Bandung”

Beautiful, clean cottage in a cool quiet surrounding. Nearby Masjid. Highly recommended for those seeking a spiritual holiday.

great landscape with minimum facilities”

we arrived around 4am, but still the receptionist give us a great smile and warm welcome. everything ready with the extra bed that we request during our travel from jakarta (request arnd 2am)to the hotel. weather very nice, cool and greeny. breakfast was sent direct to our room. good hotel budget, and surrounded by kampong style

A total new and different experience...The staff were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was quite rejuvenating. Would recommend to anyone whether you're a muslim or not.

It was for me not clear from the website that it was a Islam hotel. Theyj were suprised and we too. So smoking and alcohol are a problem. However a pleasant and very friendly stay. Rather far away fronm kolonial center.

Nice place to stay with family”

Wooden and not a sound proof building. Nice place for group family vacation where you can enjoy the cool and a very safe environment esp.If you needto organise religious family function. Very relaxing....Food,clothing,laundry and of course the Surau is available within 3-5 mins walk. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel but distance from city”

The hotel is situated quite far from the city centre. You must have a transport to go out. Staff will help you to find a taxi if you do need to go out. Breakfast is good and nice to the Asian taste. The landscape is really good and nice view with the small lake.

Ini merupakan kali kedua kami menginap di Darul Jannah Cottage. Kali pertama ialah pada Nov 2010. Kami sekeluarga amat menyukai hotel ini kerana ianya seperti pulang ke kampung halaman sendiri. Suasana hotel yang islami, pekerja yang ramah dan mempunyai taman mini di luar bilik untuk anak kecil kami. Kali pertama kami menginap hampir 8 malam, dan kali ini 2 malam, kami dapat merasai damai yang sama seperti pengalaman 3 tahun lalu. Kiranya mencari kelainan daripada hiruk pikuk kota bandung, di sini ialah tempat yang sesuai untuk mencari ketenangan. Breakfast super sedap!
