Great Location with Wonderful Rooftop Onsen & Fabulous Breakfast”
Only 5 mins walk from Takayama Train & Bus Station as well as most of the attractions are within walking distance. The buffet breakfast is a generous spread & they also gave free half ramen between 9.30pm & 10.30pm. Though it is just ramen soup, I appreciate the kind gesture by the hotel & it promotes a communal feeling among guests. Free coffee was also provided at the lobby coffee machine. The rooftop onsen was wonderful and they provided all kinds of free toiletries & amenities. Hotel room was big & very clean & hotel staff were very friendly. I would stay at this hotel again & highly recommend it.

About 5 mins walk from the Takayama station (easy to walk - just refer to Google map). Once you reach, you will see this hotel is all in tatami (except portion of the hotel lobby). Facilities wise, it is what mentioned in the website. Loving the onsen in the hotel. They charge a very small fees for each night you stay. 1 night costs only 150yen. They have both public and private onsen. The best part of the private onsen is you just need to queue for it without paying additional costs. Public onsen is very cool (if you can embrace the culture, it will be good), as there are different onsens such as the outdoor one. Speaking of the room, the room is spacious and clean. This is the best hotel among the hotels I stayed throughout. And is also the most value for money. Definitely will be coming back again.

Great stay experience”
The whole hotel is running a very Japanese style. You will have to take of your shoes at the lobby and use the facilities with your feet in socks. This place services free ramens very night. You can enjoy a bowl of it after having a great how spring on the top floor of the hotel. There are several hot spring spots you can choose, from the indoor bath and outdoor spot with fantastic city view. You can watch TV while enjoying their sauna. Overall it’s a very nice experience. One of the small cons is that there are too few laundry machine in the hotel. There are only 2 machines, so you will have to wait forever to use it if there are already several groups of people waiting in line.

What a find!”
This is an adorable Japanese hotel in an adorable little town. The futon style large bed I had was super comfortable, and the rooms and Japanese pjs quaint. The two winners were a) the breakfast! Buffet style and Japanese it was delicious. I tried lots of things I wouldn’t have otherwise. And b) the onsens!!!!! As a person with tattoos, private onsens are often required for me in Japan, but the three that were available were gorgeous and I never had to wait more than 5 min for one to be free. The location is also great. Super close to the train (though I drove my car and paid for parking which was 800 yen) and within walking distance to the food streets and near by attractions. If I am ever in Takayama again, I will be back!

Everything is PREFECT!!! Breakfast is super delicious, room is big, bed is soft, staff is very helpful, private &puvlic onsen are included. U may also do your lundary for free (washing machines were free to use but the tumble dryer cost ¥100/20mins. The Cheapest I have seen so far. A very traditional hotel with Tatami. Nice and comfortable. Around 5 mins walk to station and 10 mins walk to attractions. Next to one of the famous hida beef restaurants. we really enjoyed our stay n will definitely come back next time.

A lot of nice facilities, there are 3 private onsen which are first come first served, can queue outside (max. 30mins for each party). The public onsen is also very nice and clean. Hotel breakfast is very nice and free ramen from 2130-2230. Room is quite spacious and clean. Price is reasonable, parking fee is ¥880 for the night. Will definitely come back!

Fantastic Onsen expereince”
Probably the best hotel I had stayed in my recent trip to Japan. There was an outdoor and indoor Onsen. The outdoor onsen had breathtaking mountain views. There was also an option of private onsen but subjected to a queue system. Ice cream was also available for guests after you had finished the onsen. Aside from the onsen, there were also some light ramen served for supper in the night which was something different from what other hotels offered. Finally you get to experience walking around without shoes as the shoes will be removed at the hotel lobby before you move around.

The entire hotel floors are covered with tatami! Their private onsen was a huge plus! Food was also amazing. They have free coffee in the day time and free ramen at night. They also have free yogurt drink and apple juice at the onsen in the morning.

Spotlessly clean, best quality in everything. Architecturally Japanese style. Nice hot springs with outside view in private baths. Very conveniently located close to train and bus station and the town. Marvelous breakfast buffet with lots of variety and excellent quality.

Value for money”
I love the onsen. There are 3 private and public onsen. When the private one is being occupied. You just simply have to write your name and wait. During our stay, we have no issue getting the private onsen for 2 nights. Go when people are heading for the free soba at the restaurant. The free soba is delicious by the way. Parking is 8000yen per night. We drove there. Easy to find the hotel. The other place of interest is within walking distance. What we did was simply park the car in the hotel and walk over to the street.

Loved the onsens and late night ramen. Had a really lovely feel of traditional accommodation but on a large scale. Really impressed by the outdoor onsen during the snowy season. Breakfast is great value and the location can't be beaten.

Location and Price are perfect Close to Takayama Station, walking distance to bus terminal Private Onsen is a plus, can enjoy onsen with my wife (Normal Public bath is gender separated) Free Ramen and drink in supper time Facilities are more than enough Highly recommend and will come back when I visit Takayama again.
