Really enjoyed our stay here. Great location, good facilities, very nice breakfast. Excellent value. The only slight issue we had involved our triple room for 3 adults. The air conditioning was not working in the room and it was very hot outside. At first, the staff was insistent that the a/c would start working if we just gave it more time, and they had no other triples available for the night. Finally, at around 11pm, they agreed to allow us to move to two double rooms for the first night, and then they moved us to a different triple room for the remaining 3 nights of our stay. So, it worked out fine in the end, but was just a bit aggravating at first. Again, I highly recommend this hotel if you don't want to pay lots of money for good, 3 star hotel.

I was very satisfied staying in the hotel, we stayed in large apartment with 2 double bed, one in parents room and one in the living room. the AC was difficult to operate, but worked fine. didn't use breakfast, bought few things in the supermarket or coffee shops nearby. swimming pool was very good with exceptional opening hours 06:30-22:00, my kids loved it. noise at night from street (pubs) - but we were tired.. octagon station for tram and subway was nearby - very convenient, we will come again for sure, taxi to airport cost 8200 huf when calling Fo-Taxi, if using the hotel taxi - higher price.

Our staying at the easyHotel Budapest Oktogon was great. The room was clean and quiet big (we had the standard room with window). The staff was very friendly and helped us with all the information that we needed. The hotel is close to some important touristic objectives (e.g. you are at a 5-7 minutes walk far from the St. Stephan Church and 10-12 minutes from the Hero's Square). The only inconvinient at this hotel is that if you want the TV to be functional or to have wi-fi you have to pay. All in all our staying at this hotel was wonderful and I recommand it.

The hotel itself was quiet and clean and in a good location. What set it apart, though, was the quality of customer service I received. The desk receptionist,, spoke excellent English and assisted me in finding the price, directions, and time of a local Budapest soccer game. He went out of his way to answer all of my questions, pinned the most important places on my map so that I wouldn't get lost, gave me step-by-step instructions on how to get there, looked up the game time to find out when I should arrive, and even made recommendations for local cuisine in the area of the soccer stadium. Checking in and out was painless and easy. The front desk receptionists gave me concise directions on how to get to the airport by train and even sold me the proper bus ticket to get between the train station and airport. I didn't spend too much time in the hotel since I was out in the city most of the time. However, I was happy with the quality of the rooms, beds, cleanliness, and the patio which gave a nice view of the city in the morning.

At first there was a confusion when we checked in. We booked for 3 persons but were informed only 2, but in the end, it was sorted & the staff acknowledged we were right. Anyway we were ok cos the staff, Viktoria, was very polite, helpful & very pleasant. Its location is just a walking distance from various attractions like Váci Street, Vigado Square, Vorosmarty Square, Budapest Eye, etc, etc) and if you are adventurous enough, walk slightly further, you will reach Hungary Parliament House, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Szechenyi Bridge crossing over to Buda side). That was what we did. It was a nice stroll with beautiful sights of Budapest. Convenience store nearby. The only con is that customers may find it difficult to enter when arrive. As the reception area was not visible, we were confused as to how we could get into the apartment. Passcode was supposed to be used but since it was our first arrival, unless it was given prior to arrival, it wasn’t possible to know the passcode.

Very handy location and I liked the apartment. However, it was only after booking I became aware of time restrictions re getting the key (though not a problem for my arrival time) and that I couldn't pay for the apartment by card, only cash (euro or local). I got cash from ATM but I would have taken cash with me if I had known in advance. Great place, just information in advance was lacking (unless I didn't see it).

Hotel Moments was the perfect stay in Budapest. The location cannot be any better, as it is walking distance to everything. The hotel is very new, so It is clean and the amenities were fantastic. The staff was always friendly and provided great recommendations for my girlfriend and I. They are more than happy to share info on bars, restaurants, touristy things, etc. They also had one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Moments. I will stay here again when I return to Budapest.

hotel is located on the very center of Budapest though a little away from the most nearby subway station to main railway station but very close to the national opera and several fancy wineries and restaurants. rooms are clean and minibar beverages' prices are fair also. complimentary breakfast makes another half star on value for money. one of the best options for staying in Budapest!

This is the best place in Budapest to stay. The location ist absolutely perfect - it's located between the most popular sights like the Basilika, the Synagoge and the Vörösmarty Tér. You can reach all these points in around 5-10 minutes by foot. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. The bed is so comfortable and it's quiet outside so that you'll have a good sleep. The breakfast makes all your wishes come true! There is almost everything to eat. You can get 3 different types of croissants, doughnuts and you can also have eggs, backed beans or sausages, cake, fresh fruits,.... I would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it to everyone! Never had such a good hotel for such a good and fair price.

The best thing about ZOOM is how well located it is for such a reasonable rate. It's low frills but, and it it hadn't been so central, I might have been less impressed. If you do decide to stay here (and I highly recommend it), be sure to ask for one of the larger rooms. They are not much more expensive, but the difference between room 1 (bigger) and room 5 (tiny) is massive.

The hotel is located in Benczur utca, in a very quiet and nice area of Budapest, just 3-4 minutes walk from busy Andrassy street, between Bajza utca and Hosok ter (Heroes' Square) metro stations (Yellow line M1). We booked 2 standard double rooms. Unfortunately, not all of them had air-conditioning. Anyway, very polite and professional staff of the hotel helped us to get the room with air-conditioning. Besides, they helped us a lot with other questions. I would especially like to point out and thank staff of the reception He is a real professional and very good man! The hotel also offers free safe in the reception, free internet access in the lobby (hotel computer and wi fi, if you have your own computer). Breakfast is quite good, the restaurant is big enough, clean and cozy.

We're a couple in our mid 20's who like clean accommodation but with a bit of a relaxed / social vibe. This is exactly what we got at Wombats. We arrived early Friday 16th and were too early to check-in, so left our luggage at the storage and went walking. It rained heavily and we got soaked, so returned to the hostel earlier than check-in (check-in is at 2pm). A very understanding guy (with a beard) and Irish lady allowed us to check in early as the room was ready... we needed a shower badly!! So, first positive experience was the friendly attitude of the staff... always a nice thing. This was our only staff interaction as we were always out-and-about apart from check-in / check-out (check-out took less than a minute, no issues at all) The room (private, double) was clean... what more can I say? That's all we wanted and that's what we got. If I could say one thing, it is to purchase better quality pillows. Just note that as you can see from pics, the floor is Lino, not carpet. I actually prefer this as it's more hygienic, but it's just not all that luxurious on your feet, but remember this is a hostel! We will return to Budapest next year and we will stay at Wombats again. PS. The lift worked. The wi-fi worked fine. I cannot comment on the AC as we were using it to heat the room instead of cooling it down.

It was good enough for me and my 16 years old son. We stayed for two nights during Sziget music festival. You really get excellent value for the money paid but don't expect anything fancy. The rooms have mobile air conditioner units that are a bit noisy but who cares, they do the job. Wifi worked just fine. There was an old 4:3 tv with 50 hungarian channels, we used it as a background light. If you are lucky, you can park the car for free in nearby Andrassy street. If not, arm yourself with coins to pay for parking in front of hotel (you pay from 8:00 till 18:00h) and that is way cheaper then parking in some garage. And it's easy to find the hotel by car if you enter the center of Budapest by crossing the Petofi bridge from the east side. You cross the bridge and just drive straight until you reach the Oktogon square and then turn right to Andrassy street and the second street to your right is Hunyady street with a small park with a fountain. The hotel is on the other side of park.

I simply can't stress enough how welcomed I felt by the wonderful staff members of Town Hall Apartments. They were all extremely friendly and attentive, and always making sure that I felt comfortable during my stay. In particular, their high level of understanding and flexibility, and how they would go beyond their reach to make you feel like a distinguished guest is extremely commendable. I got a studio apartment, which was clean and spacious, came with all basic necessities, had an enormous balcony and high speed wifi. From the airport, a quick ride on the bus and a train ride brings you straight to the doorstep of the apartment. As the hotel is located in an alley, you should Google map the exact image of the main entrance and jot down the exact street name and unit number. Then walk through the alley and take note of the unit numbers - easy! For the amount of money I paid, I don't believe I would be able to get the same quality of service and accommodation anywhere else in Budapest. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! P.S. The reception room on the 1st floor provides free rental of movies and books!

The Ibis Hotel is a friendly structure, very minimal in its approach reminding the typical hotel design of northen Europe. The rooms are spatious, tidy and brightly illuminated although they are equiped with minimal furniture. As a downside we noticed the lack of minibar (at least in our room, on the 5th floor). The bed was very comfortable and both the bed and bath linen were clean. Hotel staff is distinct, helpful and professional. We had a smooth experience with the reception desk. As to breakfast, this is really poor as for the variety of foods provided while the machine-made cappuccino is far too sweet in our opinion, hence we didn't enjoyed much. On the contrary the restaurant (the same room serves as breakfast room in the morning and resto for the rest of the day) is very good. The menu doesn't provide a wide selection of dishes but whatever you choose to eat is really good, tasty and comes in an abundant portion as well. Prices are very reasonable and fair. We chose this structure because of the location which is pretty advantageous: right behind the Budapest Zoo (5 min. on foot) and the the excellent Budapest Park, where you find two lovely small ponds and some really nice restaurants. More importantly, when you cross the park (on your left side) you reach the famous and most popular Thermal Baths in Budapest, Szechenyi. Also the hotel is really close to the Heroes Square which is reachable in more or less 5 minutes on foot and there there is also the Metro station (Line 1). Nearby there are a couple of really good local restaurants (albeit a little more costly than other places) and an exquisite Italian bar/pizzeria run by Italians themselves. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Ibis Hotel and we definitely feel like suggesting it.

A great experience stay with this hostel. The location was so convenient to everywhere (metro, tram, bus to airport) and the budapest eye is just next to the street. All famous food can found easily nearby the hostel. The room is same as what you can see inside the picture. The facility was good in condition. However, for those who carry huge luggage, you have to carry your luggage for 1 floor which is from 4 floor to 5 floor. Overall was a good experience here. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable location. Our apartment was across the road from the Opera House - we could hear people rehearsing for a forthcoming performance. What a treat. A picture of our apartment appears in the list provided, and whilst not as well fitted out as some apartments, it was great ie easy to spread out with our own things, and find them easily when packing up! Due to position of apartment we were able to have windows open at night again a treat. Apartment had very large lounge, although the bedroom was a bit of a squeeze. But it was great to have coffee capsules available for a relaxing coffee and the location was the best. Lots of restaurants in the area, Dorina was outstanding - very friendly and helpful.

When I arrived at night, there are 3 different groups (1 to 3 people) waiting. All of them have the question about the tax, maybe city tax and cleaning fee etc, which is overcharged. Some of them thought they don't have to pay the tax by cash but it's not true as Agoda mentioned it actually. The problem is the amount of the taxes listed in Agoda is just about half of the taxes I have to pay , that means I have to pay few euros. It's not much but it's really affected the final decision of the hotel. I have got no receipt of the taxes. The room is ok but the light is a little bit dark even you turned on all light. It's not noise even it's in the city centre. There is an air conditioner but no fan for the super hot summer because you would probably close all windows, it's not free. 7 euro per night they asked. That's ridiculous. That's the reason for fewer stars in facilities and value of money. The staff is super good and quick-fixer for problems. Helpful and speak English well.

The K+K Opera Hotel is basically set up for business travelers, with a section devoted to PCs. Breakfast was rather expensive, but considering the neighborhood, was the best (and only) deal around and very bountiful. The hotel is located one block from the Opera building..in front of that is a pick up place for a variety of Hop on Hop Off competing companies. We chose the "original one" and were pleased with the 48 hour option, allowing us to take one loop the first day on the red bus, and the second loop the second day on the yellow bus, including a boat trip on the Danube..There is a grocery store within a few blocks walk from the hotel and a few restaurants in the neighborhood.

The apartment was excellent. Big, bright, with kitchen and laundry. Location is A+. There's also a free gym in the complex. The reception ladies are nice and friendly. One of the secuirty doormans couldn't speak english and was insane when I tried to ask him to use the gym - he wouldn't even look at me so I could explain. It was very funny though, he just needs to relax or get a new job. It didn't affect our stay.
