One of the best hotels in Kyoto”
This hotel is newly built with modern conveniences. Multiple USB outlets for your phone. The room is bigger than most other hotels I stayed in Japan before. The bus stop is right in front, most city buses will take you back right in front of this hotel. 7-eleven is just right down below next to entrance to the hotel. Restaurants especially vegetarian restaurants, shops, other convenience stores, banks, subway, are within walking distances. Best of all, they have amazing low prices in January and February. The price may be higher in other high season when more tourists come to this ancient capital.

Great hotel”
Hotel is modern and the rooms are clean. Subway station is a few minutes walk away and only 2 stops to Gion District. The train to bamboo forest is also located across the street from the subway. There is a 7 Eleven downstairs, so it's super convenient if you want drinks or snacks. The hotel is equipped with a cafe, which is equipped with a microwave if you need to heat up food, and also has plenty of seating. Toiletries are laid out in the lobby, so it is a take what you need system. They have hair ties, toothbrushes, soap, lotion, Bathrobe, etc... Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.

Amazing hotel i ever stayed in Kyoto”
I had 3 nights at this hotel. The facility is new, many support, accessories for your daily needs and the staffs are very nice. Great location, next to 7-11, bus stop and train stations. Worth for every penny when u stay in the city like Kyoto. Will definitely come back

True luxury at bargain prices”
It’s about 30 min walk from Kyoto JR station but if you know how to navigate the train/subway, there’s a train station just round the corner to the hotel. That said, it is a 10 min walk to Nishiki market and from there everything is central. The hotel itself is perfect. Luxurious throughout, big rooms and fast internet (LAN went up to 700mbps). They have a cafe area where u can also do ur work. Free amenities like coffee, facial cleansers, cotton buds etc. The gentleman at reception spoke very good English and ave me great navigational advice to the tourist attractions. I got all this at an extremely low price. The best value for money hotel I’ve been in since I’ve been hotel hopping around Japan.

Rooms are very modern and well-equipped. Super-clean, comfortable. Good coffee freely available in the foyer. Good value. Rooms a little small for a lengthy stay but perfect for a short break.

Comfortable and clean accomodation”
Just what I needed for a longer stay. My room was well insulated with easy to use a/c and heating unit. Good wifi connection in room. Convenient coin laundry / coin dryer units on the 2nd floor are available 24 hours a day and cost 400 yen in total for a load of wash and dry. Thank you to all staff for an excellent stay.

Would totally stay here again and recommend to friends and family. There's a free coffee machine at the lobby. Reception has free packets of facial wash, cleansing oil, lotion. Laundry room (need to pay separately for wash and dry) and smoking room available as well. Room is cozy and bigger than the usual ones you get in Tokyo or Osaka. Toilet has a bathtub!! Location wise is great, super near the train station. Theres a big 7-11 right next to the hotel entrance, doesnt get any more convenient than this. Best of all, there's a Sukiya restaurant opposite the hotel! They open quite early but closes at 10pm so do take note of the hours if you want to takeaway back to your hotel room for dinner. Two thumbs up!

The bus stop is very close to the hotel. The room was quite large and there was free coffee and tea bags on the 1st floor, as well as toiletries.

The most comfortable stay during our trip this year!”
Our stay at the b Kyoto Shijo for almost a week, was definitely the most comfortable during our trip to Japan this year. The hotel is conveniently located, with the station being just a stone’s throw away. Bus access is also awesome – you can get to most major attractions and streets from the bus stops located at the cross junction where the hotel is located. The rooms are generously sized, and extremely clean. As we were there over the new year’s, we got to enjoy some amazake, courtesy of the hotel :) most importantly, the convenience store just downstairs made all the difference for snacks and drinks. Will definitely be back!

I asked the staff to check in 45 minutes earlier and I was so thankful they allowed me. The room is spacious and clean. They provide you clothes iron on every floor. There is a washing machine which you can pay for 300 yen every cycle. And the drying machine for 100 yen/30 minutes. It takes up to 30 minutes to finish drying, however, the clothes were not very well dried. A convenience store is so very near. A pleasant stay.

2nd time is sweeter and cheapest ”
Basically the cheapest stay i had in Kyoto. Now with Go travel discount plus Agoda weekend discount got this for a cheap. Super clean, brand new feel and super cheap but the rooms are elegant and doesn't nt look cheap at all. Very spacious compaed to a nirmal business hotels i have tried. Highly recommended place to stay. Location wise. Gion district is walkable, butbthis place is really accessible via Bus or subway.
