Comfortable home away from home: best location, clean and great value for money”
Our group of three friends really enjoyed our stay at The Limelight Kyoto Hotel's apartment (No.4) on 3rd Floor. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly and welcoming staff, cleanliness, finding all facilities of great comfort and best value for money. There is a separate kitchen with necessary utensils, a bath tub, and a toilet room, a spacious living/bed room suiting 3 persons with a wardrobe and small balcony. The location is superb being 12 mins train journey from the Kyoto Station (Sagano Line), just a road across the Hanazono station and next door to a Pharma store and convenience shop. I highly recommend visiting Myoshin-ji temple with beautiful garden just 5 mins walk from the hotel. I highly recommend The Limelight Kyoto Hotel to anyone coming for a short trip or a long stay in Kyoto.

Pros: 11 minutes train ride from Kyoto (JR) to Hanazono Station. Hotel is just about across the Hanazono Station. You can easily it when you exit the train station. Right at the train exit there is a family mart. Very clean. The bed is very comfortable. I had a good sleep. Located in a quiet area. Away from hustle & bustle of the city. The design of the dining area is so chic. You can cook. They provide cooking pots, pans, utensils, plates, cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar for your use. Also have free coffee & tea. There is also a fridge & small oven. Cons: They only provide 1 towel for your entire stay. If you request for a new one you have to pay extra. They also dont change the beddings in my 6 nights of stay there. Not sure if that is the usual thing for capsules or hostels. They dont have a lift. Reception is on the 2nd floor so if you have a large & heavy luggage you will have a hard time carrying it on the stairs.

The Limelight was such an amazing place to stay and an amazing cost. I stayed in the female dormitory which (at the time) only cost me $30 usd. It is a super easy 2 min walk to the station that you can get anywhere quickly. I visited Nara, Osaka and even into the mountain onsen in just a weekend! Highly reccommend!

Amazing ambience and cute touches ”
The hostel is right across from Hanazono station exit so it is very easy to find. The only potential issue is if you have big luggage, you will have to carry it to to the second floor of the building as there is no lift. I booked this place for night as I wanted somewhere cheap yet relatively close to Arashiyama. It was about 15 minutes to Arashiyama by train, much fast than if I had stayed in Gion or other popular areas. The beds and lounge were so beautiful and clean. Each bunk had a security box, USB charging ports, and light switches that you could control brightness with. The lounge has plenty of plugs, tables, and cushions so I could be productive with my work. I only stayed for one night so I did not use the kitchen that often, but I could tell there was at least a fridge, stove, and some kitchenware. The bathrooms were probably my favourite part of the hostel. In between the sinks were cotton pads, cotton swabs, hair dryers and/hair curlers (of very good quality as well). Bottles of toner, lotions, and other products were were the sinks with little notes as to suggest how to use them (With a pitch that you could buy the product from the drug store next door) Toilets all had bidets installed, and the shower rooms were clean.

This hotel is really great. So close to JR Hanazono station and Arashiyama. Very clean and I love their salon design.. 🙂 The staffs are also so kind and helpful. If this hotel can provide dispenser for drinking or drinking machine, it would be amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to you. 🙂

The showeroom was imptecabily clean. As was the kitchen and seating area. Your bed area was large, and the duvet, super comfy. Bring earplugs... I forgot women snore too lol

It's all girls inside and security is very good. However the privacy are kinda none since everybody just lay down the luggages on the corridors and the beds are quite near to each other

Propre et joli, lits confortables. Juste en face de la gare et d'un konbini. Seul un escalier en colimaçon permet d'atteindre le dortoir : pas pratique avec les valises ! Bémol : certaines filles ne respectent les horaires de calme la nuit (discutions, téléphone, voir yoga...). Bien pour une ou deux nuits.

ほぼフロアーは貸し切り⁉️でした。スタッフのかたはチェックインの時とチェックアウトの時にお会いしたのみでまるで自宅のように落ち着いて過ごさせていただきました。 お客様が少ない日にも関わらずフロアーや共有スペースにも冷房をつけたままにしてくださり、トイレもシャワーも使い放題で本当に素敵な空間でした。又、利用させていただきます。

立地は花園駅目の前で、近くにコインランドリーもあります。 宿の入り口が2階で階段しかないので、荷物が大きいと大変かもしれません(スタッフさんが運ぶのを手伝ってくれました)。 また、チェックアウト後も22:00まで荷物を預かってくれるので助かりました。 内装は女性向けというだけあって可愛いし綺麗です。 洗面所にはコットン、ティッシュ、綿棒有り。 シャワールームにはシャンプー、リンス、ボディーソープ有りです。 オープン記念キャンペーンで、化粧品サンプルとタオルセット無料のサービスがありました。 ドライヤーは何種類かあり、リュミエリーナレプロナイザー、パナソニックとあと 共用スペースのキッチンも綺麗です。 ハンモックが有るのでのんびり揺られることが出来ます。
