Got a complete surprise when I opened the blinds to reveal St Stephen's Basilica right there opposite, almost within arm's reach, well, not quite. A superb sight at night, lit-up as it is to reveal remarkable details. A lovely, spacious room, comfortable bed and a beautifully appointed bathroom. It just had that good feel to it - smart design and layout. Go for it but just make sure you're clear about the codes and the system for accessing the room after reception has closed. I was a bit late but fortunately reception staff were available to assist.

The Magazine Hotel and Apartments is in an excellent location of town making it fairly easy to travel to Budapest’s most popular attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. Anyone looking for a great deal on lodging in Budapest, I’d recommend they consider Magazine Hotel and Apartments.

Exceptional location however very noisy”
We had a brilliant stay here. The room was very modern, spacious and comfortable... however it was just so noisy. We were on the 1st floor, directly above a restaurant who would wind in/out their sun visors at 6am and midnight, drag their metal tables and chairs and on Friday & Saturday night have very loud music playing which would thump through the walls and floor. The location is absolutely exceptional, but with that comes a lot of noise from outside and in the square; which would deter me from staying again unfortunately.

Hotel in a centre of everything with an amazing view of the square and Basilica surrounding. 5-15 min walk to almost all places we want to visit. Quiet and warm. Super nice host, comfortable bed, TV channels, clean room with all facilities you need in the bathroom for a half-price of popular hotels or two places in the youth hostel. Worth being recommended. The common area is rather small (but nice and practical) so they don't provide breakfast. You can made it by yourself (all features in the kitchen are ready) or find breakfast outside of the hotel (plenty of possibilities). Enjoy your stay! We did :)

Great location, and adequate room”
The room we got was smaller and no view, but we paid next to nothing as last minute. So I cannot complain about that. I saw into another room which was LOVELY and big and gorgeous view of the Square. Still happy with our clean room. Also, nightclub bar below so music a little duff duff until 1pm but wasn't too bad.

The Best Place I Stayed In Budapest”
I was originally going to stay here for 2 nights, but ended up extending my stay to a full week. The location is impossible to beat, as you're directly next to St. Stephen's Basilica. As a digital nomad, I spent many hours working at the California Coffee Company right next door. Tons of restaurants and bars within 100 meters. Be sure to remember the building code and corridor code, as there were a few people I saw who were locked out due to not remembering the codes. Best value for the price you pay for a room of your own.

Great location with beautiful view to St. Stephen's Basilica”
Clean room with all necessary amenities for short stay. Heater is available in case the weather decides to surprise you. Great staff communication. The location is just great! BUT - it is a busy location and it can be noisy at night (and I mean a "night-club downstairs" noisy) but we were warned so we were ready. Also bathroom see-through doors were unexpected :)

The perfect place to stay in Budapest”
The location was just perfect beside the Basilica of St. Stephen so you are able to find any facilities you need with a few minutes walk. The main attractions are also very easy to reach. The room was spacious and nice decorated. The parquet in the room can create some excessive noise when you are walking but it wasn’t a big deal. The staff was very friendly and available if you have any kind of problem or questions. Overall, I think we couldn’t find a better place to stay.

Great location in the city centre of Budapest. The Magazine Hotel is within walking distance to all attractions. Only downfall were the noisy neighbours who woke us up at 4am.

Hotel right beside St Stephen Basilica”
Location was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Not all hotels have a good view though. My room faced the inner walls (and ventilation column) and barely had sunlight. Had to switch the lights on all the time. Also, window can't be opened as the cooking smells from the restaurants below will seep in. Make sure to avoid corner rooms.
