Good location and value”
I got the small double room and the room and the toilet were really small. Wallpaper was a bit old and peeling in some areas. You barely have enough space to open your luggage. No coat closet, only 2 hooks on wall with 2 clothes hangers. Stayed during the winter so Air-conditioning was hard locked to heater so the only way to cool the room was to open the window. No humidifier was also provided. On the plus side, the room was one of the cheapest I found and the room had a small refrigerator and cable tv (but only japanese channels, found cnn but it was dubbed in japanese!). If you only plan to use the room for sleeping, it serves its purpose. Room was cleaned and towels replaced everyday. There are conveniences stores around the hotel so we did not see the need to avail of their breakfast buffet. Location is also great. Only a short walk away from Odori station (which connects to Sapporo station) and also to susukino and odori park where the snow festival is being held. Staff were conversant in english.

Fun small room with great staff, but red light district”
Room was small and the lobby wings smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was cramped with the toilet cocked to allow a leg to not hit the wall. The sink overhangs into the shower as well. Good water pressure and heating/cooling in room, but smelled of heavy smoking. The staff was amazing and helpful to everything we needed and were just nice to us. I very much appreciated that. The location is a food ten minute walk from train station on the ice and maybe a little faster in summer. Taxis are easy and we didn’t do bus from here. This is THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT for sure and we didn’t know that. If you have young kids you maybe explaining what all you are seeing. I found it funny and if single would have let my curiousness guide me. Our friends with little ones did not find the humor in this at all. Lots of good nearby and we didn’t realize that there are several good restaurants on premises until last late night there.
