Beautiful traditional style but need maintenance and upgrade ”
The hotel itself was beautiful and had remnants of its glory days. Staff were polite and nice. However, we didn't get the rooms we were asking for (no response from staff prior) and big let down was no wifi in the room (only in the lobby) but barely any connection in the lobby as well.

Traditional Toaraja Buildings”
I stayed 4 nghts. The hotel is located approx 1 km from main town road, however, it's either all down hill or up hill, steep walk to hotel Stunning views of the area, with rooms set in tradition style Toraja houses. My first room was unfortunately located looking directly at a kockeral pen, which did the normal crowing from 4am. I requested a move and was upgraded to a huge room facing the entry road. The hotel was very quiet being low season, so you were pretty well by yourself at breakfast and dinner. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Whilst the dinner menu is about double what you would pay In town, the food was far better and big servings. I only went to town on my first night. Pool area is dangerous because the tiled area can be very slippery when wet. Take care. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but given that were very few rooms occupied, they were probably very bored and wanted someone to talk to. No English channels on the TV, so bring a book, relax and enjoy .

Torajan Tongkonan style Hotel near to most UNESCO Worldheritage sites in Tana Toraja ”
Maybe one of the best hotel in Tana Toraja, South Celebes, Indonesia. Near to at least 6 of the 10 UNESCO Worldheritage sites in Toraja, namely Kete'Kesu, Buntu Pune, Rante Karassik, Londa, Lemo and Bori Parinding. Lolai - The "Village Above the Cloud" ("Negeri Diatas Awan") is also only 30min drive up the mountain from the hotel. BUT the rooms in the Tongkonan (Torajan style house) in need of refurbishment urgently. Besides also cleanliness needs serious attention. When we checked in the room, it smelled like not yet cleaned up and the toilet stinked badly, that we had to asked to be cleaned again and sprayed. But, passing by other hotels in the area, we are not really sure there are better lodging in that area. Anyway the services provided by the sales and marketing manager, Isabel and the driver, Tulling deserved high praise. Just thank to both of them our trip to Toraja had become one of our most impressive journeys, besides our very best experiences sofar to Bhutan & Machu Picchu

Anlage mit Potential ”
Das Toraja Heritage hat eine große Anlage mit verschiedenen Bereichen. Sie ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und man spürt das fehlende internationale Management. Wir waren zur Zeit des islamischen Opferfest und des indonesischen Nationalfeiertags und am Wochenende dort, so dass das Personal mit den vielen Gruppen überfordert war. Ab Montag war das Hotel dann wieder wie ausgestorben. Mit reduzierten Kapazitäten auf höherem Niveau hätte das Hotel Potential. Im Moment ist es überteuert, weil es eben nicht dem Standard entspricht, den es verspricht.
