It is a standard Toyoko Inn -- Small and basic but clean room. It's a safe choice. Simple but free breakfast is provided. My room was at the end of hallway, and wifi wasn't that strong. Location can be tricky for the first visitors. Once you understand the Kyoto bus transfer systems (-- ask a bus route map at the information desk at Kyoto Station as the hotel only has Japanese version), it's quite easy to navigate the city. Bus station is located nearby. It's quite far from a subway station.

Convenience, impress & hassle free stay ”
Bus stop just in front of the hotel, 2 numbers of buses pass through that can easily hop in to the tour attraction site. The staff is very helpful and attentive. I have a wifi internet connection issue on 2nd night, immediately the staff came to my room with router & installed in my room, within 5 min all settle. The breakfast was delicious & simple.

チェックイン前の朝、早い時間から 大きな荷物は預かってくれるので 京都駅に着いたら バスでホテルまで行き（最寄りのバス停からは １分、２分なので）荷物を預けて 身軽にあっちこっちと観光するのが良いですね。

Chambre propre, personnel super. Un bon hotel. Une valeur sure qd on ne veut pas payer une fortune dans un hotel. Il ne me sert qu'a dormir et stocker mes bagages. Petit dej offert meme si non prevu sur le site de reservation. Peu de resto autour dc bus obligatoire a chaque fois ou marcher jusqu'a un autre transport. Heureusement le reseau de bus de Kyoto est bon et on ne se perd pas si on a une bonne carte.
