Base Ami for Tsugaike trips”
I really liked this place. I gotta tell you some details. Look, it’s old, it’s been around a while, and one of the staff is a terribly grumpy older woman. But the other two staff were great! I was warm and comfortable! I didn’t wamt Something flash - just a convenient place to sleep for snowboarding. And I still got enough to eat and they accommodated for my being vegan. So long as you realise these things, I am totally happy with this place! Of your looking for fancy accommodation for your holiday entertainment, this isn’t it! But if you want a decent, convenient and clean place to crash, this is fine!

Bad experience ”
The owner doesn’t speak English at all and asked us to change room (we refused) because other guests wanted a bigger room. The lady just put the key of the other room on the floor in our room even after we refused. We just inserted the key in the room lock and ignored her request. It was in the morning when everyone including us is getting ready to head out to snowboard. Also, there was a few times when the lady just knocked and opened our door immediately without waiting for us to come to the door. I think it’s very rude and unacceptable. Lastly concerning the amenities, our room had a electronic heater (not gas) which took 7 hours to reach to a warm temperature (probably because the room hadn’t been occupied for sometime). Also, the lady locked shared bathroom (not toilet) at 9pm already. Luckily I bumped into her at the entrance so she unlocked the door. I think it's totally ridiculous to not allow entry into the bathroom at 9pm, I do not consider that late hour.

Great place to rest after long day on the slopes”
very comfy place. good for groups of people. breakfast was delicious. staff was friendly, but poor lady was doing everything by her self. Highly recommend Shosen lodge. oh... any one more thing. If you are the type of person that loves to shower before you sleep at night and when you wake up in the morning... you can forget about it! showers don't open in the morning and only go up to a certain time at night. so yeah. try not to get too dirty out there before you check in.

The ladies toilet is terrible . Think before you book . Some rooms eg 202,203 and 211 use heater without exhaust meaning you have to keep the window open and those heaters turn off automatically every 30mins and it could be unbearable in -5 degree with the window opened ! the futon and blankets are dirty ! sadly I hv to use them because i’m very cold .there’s 3 dead insects in my room . The sink inside the ladies bather room is full of dust .

As nightmare”
Close to Tsugaike ski park. Poor management in case I booked for a month before and paid they told me that there is not confirmation by hotel I think they have not checked before guests arrived and just arrange our room when we arrived and I wait for long time. After we back hotel after dinner they move all our lugged to new room without agreement . Old hotel and not cleean for room, toilet, bed, sheet, pillows. There are not new sheet or pillow cover and they are smelly. Not recommend at all.

外国人向けのサイトで検索できるので、古いお宿の割にはwifiが部屋で使えて便利であった。駐車場が1日1000円なので延泊する場合は出費ありでした。ゲレンデまでは徒歩7分ぐらいです。
