Great location! Recommended ”

Near JR Nijo Castle station. If visiting nijo castle is on your itinerary, staying in this hotel is best recommended. Nijo castle is just walking distance. The hotel also has supermarket, amusement center, restaurants and cinema nearby. It is also near Kyoto city bus stations. The breakfast buffet is also delicious, they served Japanese and western menu. Bed is also comfy. We also love their onsen. It is Very relaxing after a whole day of exploring kyoto.

Good especially for train enthusiasts ”

We had a fairly spacious room with twin beds, enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the comfortable hot spring bath. The room had single pane windows and the hotel pretty much backs up on the train tracks of the Sagano Line so the noise was a bit troublesome at times though my toddler enjoyed seeing the trains out the window. All in all it was a hood stay which we all enjoyed.

A bit overpriced, nice onsen, friendly staff, good location, mostly clean hotel, breakfast buffet is way overpriced ( not recommended), definitely stay here if you can get a good price

Acceptable”

It’s quite far from any train stations. The hotel exterior, lobby, hallways are impressive but the facilities inside the room was disappointing. The room smelled like an old man on the train. It helped that they had an air purifier but I hope the room itself could be improved.

Good location, not far from nijo station. Walk about 7-10 minutes to urban kyoto nijo premium. Bus stop about 5 minutes walk. Add plus point is the supermarket (consider big) near the hotel. We usually had breakfast there with various options of japanese food. We came here during winter, so after a cold attack, try their hot spring! Warm your body and relax your nerves. Cleanliness is perfect! I love to stay in this hotel. Recommended

Near Nijo Castle”

The hotel is near Nijo Castle, about 2 blocks away, and has 711 and grocery store nearby. It is right in front of a bus stop (senbonkyunijo) which is convenient because it's easier to go around Kyoto area by bus. It is also about 2 blocks from Nijo Station. It offers unlimited coffee, which was located near the elevator. The only drawback is that we were going around Kansai area and we found that the most suitable location for JR rail pass travelers was Shin-Osaka, so everytime we went out of Kyoto we had to go back to the hotel riding trains going to Nijo Station, thus requiring a lot of transfers. But overall, if the intention is only to stay in Kyoto, this hotel is most suitable.
